My glazed donuts & donut holes were dry! I read the reviews before I went thinking that I was going to have an out of body donut experience and my experience was just blah blah blah… I should have gone to Krispy Kreme…

We were here late evening and they were out of pretty much everything except a couple of varieties, though it suggests that this place is extremely popular i was hoping to try a few varieties from all the pictures I saw. we got Boston Cream & Maple Frosted donuts with a few varieties of donut holes. Maple frosted was one of the best donuts I had and My Husband loved Boston Cream, though donut holes were tasty they were extremely dry and crumbly. I inquired what time would be the best to grab the varieties and was told that early mornings are the best time to get all the varieties, though we didnt go back because of our schedule I loved what we had.

Absolutely horrible service! To start, we had a coupon for The Donut Man from . The girl at the register had no idea what it was, went to the manager, came back and told us they no longer accepted them. Any good manager would have accepted the coupon and let us know that they wouldn’t in the future. The coupon had been recently purchased, so it was odd that they didn’t accept it. That aside, the ordering process was completely disorganized and the staff was rude and unfriendly. They didn’t ring the orders at first and asked us several times for our orders. Since nothing was written down, one of our breakfast sandwiches was wrong. The Donut Man does not offer milk for their coffee, only cream, so we had to purchase milk separately for our coffee. Both the food and coffee was mediocre. Overall it was an unpleasant experience. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

I stopped here recently with my wife. The owner of a local Restaurant told me this place had very good donuts — he was right! I especially liked the Red Velvet.

Best donuts in Myrtle Beach! We come here whenever we are in the area and they are just as delicious each time! Cherry is our favorite :)

Checked out this place while in Myrtle Beach for vacation in July. Bought over a dozen for 4 of us(don’t judge) and loved them! The jelly donut made me very happy as did the cream filled out. The pumpkin spice, toasted coconut were big hits with the others in the group. I would definitely go again!

Great donut selections. I loved the chocolate iced — chocolate cake donut; just one of these was quite filling. The apple fritters are not to be missed.

Have never tried Donut Man so we came in to grab a dozen to share :) I chose powdered jelly, boston cream, and a chocolate glazed. I loved the boston cream. The jelly inside the powdered jelly was sickeningly sweet. Too much(I’m partial to a Krispy Kreme jelly filled). I also got a Hawaiian Chocolate iced coffee and I really liked it, refreshing and delicious. The doughnuts were very fluffy and the icing definitely tasted fresh. Like I could taste the different ingredients in the icing, tasted homemade. Overall nice place, would definitely come back and enjoy a coffee and a boston cream(:

Donuts so good my boyfriend and I went to get one each(ok, ok, some nights 3 each) every night while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. There were unique flavors like buttermilk and cherry. Both were very moist and flavorful. We also tried cream filled donuts which were good but didn’t seem to have that much cream inside. We tried the toasted coconut which wasn’t as moist but was just as delicious as the others. The cool thing about this place is the inside is really nice and open with seating and a TV. Also, you can get sandwiches and ice cream. I can’t speak to the quality of sandwiches or ice cream but there were several people who stopped in only for sandwiches. I assume that means they’re pretty good… but I have no idea how they left without a donut?

Awesome donut selection! Cheap as donuts get, and quality that far exceeds. Extremely clean and the service was awesome. The ladies took their time and really treated us right. I got the cherry and blueberry donut with the ham egg and cheese sandwich. All of which was great, but the cherry was definitely the best. I will say the donuts are very sweet so you better have that sweet tooth ready. All in all a great quick breakfast to start your day on he beach right.

I’ve been coming here for a long time. Always fresh donuts! They are dense, and aren’t the kind you can flatten with your hand. My favorites are the buttermilk, sour cream, and blueberry. The only kind I’m not crazy about are the glazed, they are a bit bready for my tastes but my friends and family love them so you might too! The staff is always friendly and the donuts are huge. My friend says these donuts are just like the«ones from the north» whatever that means lol but they are certainly not like any I’ve had while living in the south. I also wouldn’t compare this place to Krispy Kreme– the donuts are entirely different. These are two different places. I like them both but consider them different, if that makes sense.

Donuts are good if you can get past the attitude of the employees. Seriously, the people taking your order must hate their jobs. We walked to the counter and the blonde haired girls starred at us as she walked by. She finally decided to take our order and mumbled so softly that although I was standing a foot in front of her I couldn’t hear a word she said. We asked about drinks and were told«that’s what I was waiting on. I asked you but you didn’t answer me!» My wife then told her she needs to work in her attitude and that we can’t hear her because she’s mumbling softly. She responded with an eye roll and said«I speak fine!». There are no name tags so I don’t know here name and according to her there is no manager. I’m a local and I speak to vacationers all the time. Guess where I’ll be telling everyone to stay away from.

Donuts here are amazing! The Red Velvet donuts are to die for! The staff is extremely friendly and this place is quite clean inside. They also have coffee(obviously) as well as a soda fountain and sandwiches. Haven’t tried the sandwiches before.

A fun treat in Myrtle Beach. Treat yourself to a dozen and don’t miss these favorites: chocolate cream filled, cherry, sour cream(pound cake) and cruller. Note that the maple glazed and fritters can’t be counted as part of a dozen(individual only).

If you’re wondering where everyone hangs out in Myrtle Beach, they’re either in the lobby of their timeshare, at one of the 16 slowly dying malls, or here. I like how they’re not a Dunkin Donuts, but they’re exactly the same as a Dunkin Donuts. Only I’ve had fresher donuts out of the Dunkin Donuts dumpster. They had a couple random flavors, so I bought a bunch to try. These were some seriously stale donuts. The big mystery is how this place is so popular, yet their donuts still manage to sit on the shelf so long.

I’m convinced these donuts contain the antidote! If you’ve gotta have a donut, go ahead and hit this place. Great selection and about the biggest and most delicious damned donuts I’ve ever had the pleasure of cramming down my gullet. I’d give them 5 stars if I didn’t feel so guilty for eating all that sugar! –Neil

Would’ve gotten 5 stars if there was more of a variety of donuts offered(there were multiple ways of ordering chocolate but no pumpkin spice anything). It would also be nice if they updated the menu pictures and repaint the sign out front. They were faded and very dated. Other than that, the establishment was very stylish and clean. Loved the tropical theme. As for menu, only going to review the donuts since that is all that we got. I purchased a half dozen for $ 5.90(included tax) and the donuts did not disappoint. I will say this, the powdered donuts and the neatest that I have ever dealt with. No excess powder all over the place. Short review since I got the donuts to-go.

Myrtle Beach is cluttered with pancake houses and donut shops up and down the strip. The Donut Man is one of those places on the south end, open 24 hours and is popular with the locals. While I read mixed reviews, I tend to agree with the number of reviewers who said that the Donut Man is nothing more than a re-branded Dunkin Donuts. The colors of the décor were the same as Dunkins, the uniform was the same as Dunkins and the selection of donuts were exactly the same as well. Crème filled powdered, chocolate frosted, sprinkles and glazed. Exactly the same. Now don’t get me wrong, we like the donuts at Dunkins but I had read a few reviews of people raving how unique The Donut Man was– we just didn’t see it. One specialty item they did offer was the Red Velvet donut. It looked delicious. However, it must’ve been made days earlier because it was stale and hard. Ew. So disappointed. Same goes for our other donuts– especially the Vanilla Crème filled powdered donut that was so stiff it was disgusting. The chocolate covered French Cruller was crusty(and not in a good way.) It just seems to me if you are going to be a 24 hour operation the donuts should still be fresh no matter what time you visit, or at least offer a discount for the day old stale versions Donut Man was selling. We paid less than $ 6 for a half dozen donuts which is comparable to another donut shop in the area so no complaints there. Now granted, we were there during the slow season when a lot of other restaurants in the area are closed for about 6 weeks until the spring. Maybe Donut Man should just also close down for the winter season and re open when they can move more product and keep their donuts fresh. We are going to stick with the reliable Krispy Kreme just two doors down. Even in the slow season Krispy Kreme keeps their donuts fresh. Boo to the Donut Man.
