Established in 2007.

Shutters & Sails opened on Fishers Island, NY in 2007. In the past eight years, Shutters & Sails has earned the trust and loyalty of many customers and decided their was room for growth! In 2014, Shutters & Sails opened a Mystic, CT office at 31 Water Street.

Business Owner

Laurie was raised on Fishers Island but spent most of her adult years gaining valuable experience in areas of sales and operations elsewhere in the United States. Over the past 25 years Laurie and her husband have bought and sold residential, commercial and multifamily investment properties in Colorado, Connecticut and New York. In 2003, she returned to Fishers Island with her husband to raise their three children in the shoreline community she felt so passionate about growing up. Laurie started Shutters & Sails LLC in 2007 after seeing a need for growth and healthy competition in the real estate market. With more than 30 years in sales & marketing combined with her local knowledge and resources, Laurie brings unique experience and energy to help you get results! Laurie and her husband Chris, who is the President of the Fishers Island Utility Company, are both active members of their community and enjoy sailing, golf and traveling.
