Nothing ever in stock and associates don’t know anything about anything. Best bet would be to go to specialty tools store to try and the buy online!

All the reviews are dead on. «Cashier» at the self checkout was just angry and rude. The machine i was using didnt work and it said«wait for attendant» and he got mad at me b/c he had to do his job??? Push a few buttons and it worked. Why are you so angry at me tho? I go to YOUR store and YOUR machine didnt work and you had to do YOUR job. My job is to give you money and receive goods. Its not that hard… Never coming to this home depot again.

If you want to avoid bad service, delays, and ineficiency, don’t go to this store. Elderly, ill-trained male salesmen avoid waiting on you, especially if you are a woman. In the past month I have had two terrible experiences. With the first, buying furniture hardware, I was told to that the hardware was only available online but that it could be returned in the store. I bought two sets to see which fit and tried to return one only to be told that it couldn’t be returned because the bar code was wrong(this after an hour-long wait at the return counter). The other set came with the wrong screws and when I tried to buy screws that fit the salesman told me there were no such screws and that I should go home and keep the original hardware on my bureau.(Screws were easily purchased from the local hardware store the next morning) Meanwhile I began the endless process of buying a patio door from them. I have so far logged five hours of wait time just putting through the order, this because of a broken computer system, salesmen that put in the wrong order, and salesmen that said they were not authorized to use the computer. I ordered the door because the first salesman said they had it in stock. Now I am told that it is back ordered. I will never set foot in that or any other Home Depot store again. Post script: it is now four weeks later and my door is finally in. Installation of my patio door was delayed by two weeks because Nanuet Home Depot forgot to inform their contractor that the door was in. Contractors were polite, professional and skillful though they had to go back to Nanuet Home Depot at least once to return the wrong color trim they were given. They also told me that an already paid for part written up by the store was unnecessary and that I would get credit for it. No credit is forthcoming. I have now had six telephone calls from an 800 number that my caller id tells me is Home Depot. Nobody is ever on the other end of the line and when I try to call back I am told that the number is not in service. One more annoyance from what must be the worst store in Rockland County.

I should have read the reviews before I wasted an hour in this store. No one wants to help you even if you ask them politely. 20 min later When I finally found the item, I was told the item cannot be cut because their machine is broken. That’s probably the last time I’m going to any Home Depot.

I agree with another reviewer. The customer service at this location sucks. I had purchased a washer and dryer from this store and once it was installed, I had trouble with the washer. I had called the store numerous times to inquire about the extended warranty and to get information in how to resolve the problem. Each appliance representative I spoke to seemed as if they were uninterested and unable to give any suggestions. I had asked for the department that handles extended warranties and they had provided me an incorrect telephone number. I went there in person and you will see that it is extremely hard to find someone in the flooring and appliance departments. I wouldn’t even recommend an enemy to go to shop at this store. It’s torture. I hope they shut this store down or hire competent workers that are willing to assist customers.

Went there to pick up some 4′ x 8′ peg boards. Out of stock. One of the associate told me to go to the service counter and check if other store might have some. Girl at the counter looks at the monitor and tells me it is only available in web. Stupidity started there and on and on. I went to Lowes.

This store absolutely sucks. I have been trying to get an unresolved kitchen issued fixed for over 8 months and all I get is the runaround or no response. I wouldn’t recommend these people to install a light bulb. Did I say they absolutely suck? They absolutely suck.

I had a very bad experience at this home depot that turned into a positive one. There are some bad, totally unhelpful associates at this store but there are some very helpful ones as well. Here is my story: I tried to get a price adjustment on a porter cable 3 piece kit and the customer service manager completely refused. She wasn’t rude about it but she tried to make up every excuse in the book NOT to work with me. I was getting a bit agitated and annoyed because my receipt had a 90 day return policy and I was suggesting that I can just return it and rebuy and this manager had the nerve to tell me I can’t even return it if it wasn’t broken. I left complaining that I would contact customer care which I did. Today I got a call from Ismael from the Nanuet HD. He is an ASM and he was very kind and worked with me to my satisfaction. For all I know he could be thinking what a douchbag I am but whatever, to my face he was doing his job and putting the customer first. I was pleasantly surprised by this turn of events and my faith in the customers first policy at this Home Depot has been restored. and for the record, I empathize with people in retail who puts up with a lot of shit and rude and unreasonable customers from time to time and often times gets little or no support from corporate. But I honestly felt I was in the right and was being as polite, yet assertive, as I can. YMMV.

Not such a good experience here. Thanks to Rich, a rather rude and snappish clerk at the return dept. at that moment, claimed to work in the«kitchen/bath» area who then declined our return of a toilet tank that was defective stating we have to call Kohler and deal with them direct. When I asked why Mahwah was going to make the switch, he called them idiots! He was able to address me in a rude manner, but when my husband arrived, ran away like a little scared squirrel. Meanwhile, everyone knows, Home Depot has the most liberal return policy. Hence, an angel named Cliff came and made the switch.
