Benchmark Home Elevator is a licensed elevator contractor specializing in stairlifts (stair lifts, stairway lifts, stair-​chairs), wheelchair lifts, and home elevators. As an independently owned local business, we realize that doing a great job and giving our customers excellent value and service is not just the right thing to do, it is the key to our success. Our customers depend on our products to get in and out of their homes, and we can’t let them down.

We supply top quality stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, and dumbwaiters manufactured bu Bruno, Sterling Stairlifts, ThyssenKrupp Access, Cemcolift, and Elevation Innovation. We have extensive experience repairing and servicing just about any other brand or make.

History

Established in 2007.

After working in the industry since 1991 for other home elevator and accessibility contractors, Brian Hofacre and Scott Britton set out on their own and formed Benchmark Home Elevator in 2007.

They soon began specializing in stairway chairlifts after realizing that most of the equipment installed by the competition was either overpriced, poorly installed, lacked customer service, or a combination of the three.

By staying relatively small and doing all of their installations themselves, they are able to maintain a level of quality that larger companies cannot achieve while keeping overhead and prices low.

Business Owner

Co-​Owner Scott Britton has worked in the home elevator and accessibility industry for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco in Economics (Class of 1991). Scott is married with two daughters, and enjoys woodworking, camping, and golf in his limited spare time.
