I’ve been coming here for about 6 years. Christy does a great job with my hair color. Nice shop. Has lots of good product to choose from. Very welcoming atmosphere.

I had just moved from Chicago (where I was in love with my salon and trusted my stylist implicitly) and was in search for a new stylist here in Napa. I found Cache on Unilocal and LOVE LOVE LOVE Christy! In March (before I moved) I traded in my long auburn locks for a short short pixie blonde ‘do.’ Part of my problem in searching for a new stylist was finding someone that was creative enough to work with the short style without making it look like a boy haircut, but someone who will listen, and someone who can get the blonde just right (what a chore! I never knew all the nuances a blonde tone could have! I tried a fancy salon in SF before finding Cache and I came home with kinda platinum, kinda bluish hair!) All this to say that I am SO happy with Christy. I went in for a consultation first (free) and she listened and really understood what I needed /​wanted. I have gone through 3 colorings and 4 cuts so far with her, and each time she gets it! Its great every time — but I’m also enjoying that she is really getting to know my hair /​my personality /​my vision — and it’s better each time too. I’m really happy and look forward to my visits in her cute salon!

I’ve been going here for over 5 years for cuts and colors and have walked out with a smile on my face every time. The salon is quaint and always has cute accessories to buy. I will be a long time customer.

Jocelyn is a fantastic stylist and I couldn’t be more pleased with her work. She always gives her full attention to the haircut, doesn’t scrimp on time or details, and is simply a wonderful person to work with. After years of various stylists, ones who were attentive at first but then became lazy and careless, it is a real joy to know a stylist who *cares* enough to make her clients consistently happy.

I’m new to town and needed a change to say the least! I was having a miserable day and decided to treat myself, so I made an appointment and took a chance. I was SO nervous, but quickly the ladies made me feel right at home offering me «junk» to read and lollipops. By the time I left I felt great, I had my hair looking fabulous, some good laughs and met a few friends :) Love it!

Jocelyn made me and my bridesmaids and flower girls look amazing for my wedding day! We all enjoyed working with her and her assistant. She totally understood the look I was going for and lots of people told me I looked like a gorgeous vintage film star — awesome!
Her prices were really reasonable and she included fake eyelashes and attached our headpieces and flower girl wreaths at no extra charge.
I still can’t believe she showed up right on time because the hotel where we got ready was really, really hard to find!

I’m new to the area and was terrified to get my hair done. It has taken me SO long to grow it out and my hairdresser back home was amazing. Well after a long explanation of how much I do NOT want short hair or bangs, how I just want my ends dusted well guess what… I now have very short hair, bangs cut back to the middle of my head and no style to it what so ever. Every morning puts me in a bad mood looking at myself in the mirror trying to figure out what to do — but just end up wearing it up which I will have to do now for a very long time now until it grows out to some point where someone can do something to it. I went to another salon to see if we can fit it and she said that it was just hopeless at this point. I want to cry and am so unhappy. Please don’t let this happen to you.
Follow up: It’s been over a year now and I get an email from a gentlemen who says he is the owner. He asked me to take this review down. After I explained to him how unhappy I was, how it negatively affected my life and how it took over a year for my hair to grow back to when I first stepped in the salon, he went on to tell me that the stylist who did my hair was no longer there and that …“Christy told me that (name) was your Stylist and that she cut your hair way too short and did not formulate the color correctly. She told me she tried her best to correct the style and color, but your hair needed to grow back.” Funny, because it was Christy, the owner, who did my hair and I never went back to try and have fixed, so this was incorrect I told him. Instead of offering a refund or even fess up to them trying to blame an old stylist, he just said thanks for responding. Again, bad service even a year after bad service.

This is one of the best hair salons I’ve ever been to. I’m fairly new to Napa and needed to get my hair done — I have straight long hair so cuts are easy, color is most important, any tiger stripes/​fades show easily — went to this place after looking it up on Unilocal.After talking with the stylist, she did exactly what I wanted and more. She took all my ideas, put them together, and made my hair look and feel great.
Since then, I’ve been back two more times, to two different hair stylists, and they’ve all done great jobs! 3 hair stylists, 3 dyes/​cuts, and I’ve loved them all. From one salon.
The shop is really cute, great products, and not hard to get an appointment.

Okay — things you should know about my review:
First, I just moved to Napa from SF, and am in search of My New Place.
In the 7+ years I lived in SF, I salon-​hopped like a madwoman. I’ve gone to SUPER high-​end places ($ 500? Seriously? Yes.), mid-​level places, cheapo places, the gamut. I’ve been worked on by everyone from newbies to The Gays to that one punk woman with a bleached blonde mohawk who rocked a haircut but scared the bejeezus outta me. So I know from salons.
Cache is very good, and Christy (the owner who did my cut and color) was excellent. She spent a LOT of time with me up front to make sure we were on the same page, and my hair’s never looked better.
Let me repeat: My hair has never looked better. Christy and her salon get 5 stars for that.

The salon is small and cute and welcoming, and a great neighborhoody salon. Definitely better than your average drop-​in place. However, it is not a chi-​chi «Day Spa»: No fountain or pitchers of cucumber water or Enya music or espresso bar. (Depending on your taste, this could be a good thing.)
If you know SF, I would liken Cache to getting your nails done at Silk — way better than your average corner spot, but not as fancy/​expensive/​upscale as someplace like Bliss or any of its kind.
One last note: I don’t think they have a receptionist, so I had to wait a day to get a call-​back. (Worth it!)

They can turn my rat’s nest into a work of art every time! I go to get my hair done before I go out and ALWAYS get compliments. Hopefully you can nab an appt at this quaint downtown napa salon.

Cache is a first rate, upscale salon in downtown Napa. I’ve been going here for years (Yasmin does great men’s cuts), but their main focus is on women’s hair color /​style/​cuts. I know at least 5 women who go here regularly for color and rave about the place. It’s definitely the nicest hair salon in Napa.
