We just had a wedding at Christian Brothers, and we loved every moment of it. We selected Christian Brothers as a venue in the first place for several reasons — The property is absolutely gorgeous with the Mission architecture and the beautiful natural surroundings. Additionally, they already had bistro lights set up in the courtyard. This was an important criteria for me because I love how bistro lights adds romance to the atmosphere. Our photographer had a field day with the beautiful surroundings. It’s a little piece of heaven away from Napa downtown. — They were one of the few venues in Napa where we could have both a Catholic ceremony and reception in the same venue. They also have guest rooms at the venue, which made it all very convenient. — They allow you to have the venue for the entire wedding weekend unlike other venues that only give you a limited number of hours for your wedding. During the wedding day, Marya, Mary Jane, and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and very accommodating. They go above and beyond what is needed. For example, one of the flower girls fell ill during the wedding and they offered her a room to rest in during the wedding. In addition, they offered to bring food to her during the evening. It’s this type of service and care that makes you feel like you are cared for and you have no worries as a bride and groom. Also, their food is fantastic! I agree with the other reviewers that it’s not your standard wedding/conference food, and they are very flexible with the menu. My husband and I are so pleased with how the wedding turned out. If you’re thinking about having a wedding or event here, I strongly encourage you to make an appointment. We absolutely LOVEDIT!

It was definitely better than I expected! After seeing the photos of the rooms online, I questioned my decision to stay here. Once I arrived, the room I was assigned was 20x better than the room that was photographed for the website. The property is beautiful and complimentary breakfast snacks are offered every morning. Overall, it was a good stay.

Was here for a wedding last Friday, and it was a wonderful venue. As others have mentioned, it was very serene and peaceful– it’s set back above the Napa Valley, and overlooks vineyards, rolling hills, and their own pond. One side of the complex is still an active monestary, separated from the chapel by a beautiful courtyard. On the other side of the chapel is another courtyard(which was the venue for the reception), which is surrounded by their conference facilities and lodging. Mayra, the wedding coordinator, was very easy to work with and helpful. As a location, this venue embodied the Wine Country feeling, without being gaudy or showy. It didn’t feel rushed, as some of the wineries do. The food was excellent as well– the chef goes above and beyond… not at all«conference center» fare, but true WIne Country cuisine. While it’s slightly remote(not terribly so), I think that adds to it’s charm. It’s hardly 10 minutes from Napa itself, but feels like it’s a world away.

Yes this is one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Napa Valley. Yet I must say I am partial because I went to school here when the place was St. Mary’s boarding school. That was some time ago. Oh I could write a novel about the place. It was a much different time and the valley then was not as built up as it is now. The school was supported by the Christian Brother’s Winery which is no more. Happy to see the place did not get torn down and developed with track houses or some fancy hotel. The valley has plenty of that, too much perhaps. When I think back on that time, to be a top Mount Lasalle as they called it then was a retreat for sure. The sweet aroma of star jasmine in the air from spring to late summer was always comforting. The monastery-like structure that was build in the style of the old California Missions with its archways and gardens lended itself to a contempletive setting. Mount Veder and surrounding roads and trails are beautiful as well.

Possibly the most beautiful place in Napa Valley. Go here. Stay here. Have an event here.

This place is beautiful and the women who manage the events are just the sweetest and so attentive your needs. The grounds are amazing and the chapel is gorgeous. It’s a bit of a drive but well worth it for a wedding or an event.
