Hot Ink Napa is a branch of Hot Ink Tattoos, a tattoo company founded in Vallejo, CA in 2000. After the Vallejo establishment was purchased in 2007 by new owner, Mario Cruz, the Napa branch was opened shorty there after.

Business Owner

Mario a.k.a «Rio» took over as owner of Hot Ink in 2007, with 2 fellow tattoo artists. Since the change of ownership, Hot Ink has moved to 818 Marin st. in historic downtown Vallejo. The image of the well established tattoo studio has evolved into a much more client friendly business in the last few years. Thanks to the vision of the new management team lead by Rio, Hot Ink has opened a very elegant new location in Napa.

I love Scott. Never makes me feel like a burden, and I’m always comfortable at this shop unlike some other shops in town. He really goes out of his way to make a tattoo exactly how you want, and makes it totally convenient to reach him. I have 5+ tattoos by him ;)

I’ve had all of my recent tattoos done at Hot Ink Napa, and loved them so much I had Scott re-​do my old ones too! The work coming out of the shop is amazing, and only getting better! I’m about to get a new tattoo– and I’ve been waiting PATIENTLY for the new space to be ready! I’ve been down to the shop a few times during the move and Scott and Rod are working hard to make sure the shop is going to be AWESOME. If you need a tattoo– call them and book an appointment! You won’t be disappointed!

I was recommended to Scott by one of my closest friends after another Tattoo artist rushed a tattoo on my arm and left me unhappy. He is AMAZING! He took something I was so ashamed to look at and turned it into one of my favorites pieces! I ended up going back to him for my shoulder piece an recommended him to my family who also have loved his work! He makes you feel comfortable and his work is always THE BEST! I WILL be back for another piece done by Scott! I’ve found my Tattoo Artist!

This place is amazing! I had been looking for someone to draw exactly what I wanted for over a year. I looked into Hot Ink and met Scott and he drew up what I asked in 1 day. When I asked for a change in the picture he did it immediately and made sure I liked it. When I got it done by the time I was finished it was so much more than expected. I absolutely love it and would recommend anyone to this amazing artist.

Honestly Hot Ink is one of the best shops i been too. Scott McAlister is one of the best artist i have came across. He has been working on my whole upper arm for me and I am happy with all the work he has done. Hot Ink is NOT like all the other tattoo shops were you have to wait 6 months just to get a tattoo. They really try there hardest to get you in as fast as they can. I can honestly say that i am happy with the work there. The artists are really talented and chill to be around.
My opinion is if you want to get a dope tattoo with a lot of talent behind it, go to Hot Ink in Napa, Ca, Off of Third St.
You will like how your ink turns out!

ok, first, why are tattoo shop people sooo rude on the phone. If I’m calling I’m probably looking for a professional person, not a rude punk to act like he’s got better things to do. huge turn off immediately. Would make a potential client to elsewhere, you lose business, get a bad rap around town. Be courteous and helpful, no need to act like a bad-​ass, grow-​up, this is a business and learn to treat people with respect. Not everyone who is intereted in tattoos is a 15 year old girl who thinks you’re hot…
So I hope the owner and other employess will read this very soon
I’ll be calling back. if I get the same (you’re bothering me and I’m much too important to come to the phone attitude) I’ll take my business elsewhere and so will all of my friends…
