Had it not been for my neighbor Mrs. L. M., I would not have known about Mac Vitie Auto Repair. I having been using Mac Vitie since 2011 and will continue to do so. My Subaru Outback Station Wagon is fifteen years young with over 200,000 miles. By using Mac Vitie, my auto remains young and, thus, performs flawlessly. I applaud their honesty, knowledge, and professionalism. Prices are more than reasonable. You get more than your money’s worth. You get true quality in satisfaction.

Dave and his staff are among the best in the business. I am a retired HONEST car dealer and have taken my cars to Macvitie and right next door to Kelly at Wine Country Motors. Both men and their staffs have been in business for years and they stay that way by being straight shooters. can go wrong with with either one.

I had a bit of an emergency the other day and Mac Vitie Auto Repair came through in a big way. I woke up to find that my minor radiator leak had turned into a much bigger problem. I commute daily into Napa so this was a bit of a serious matter since I can’t just sit on the car for a couple days… I should point out that I noticed the severity of the problem on New Years Eve. So here I am calling all the repair shops I am familiar with (most didn’t answer their phones) and I even tried the Toyota dealership (knowing that a fix by them would be pricey, but at this point I couldn’t be picky) and they were booked solid and not open on the 1^st. A manager at my office recommended Mac Vitie so I called them on the spot… THEY WERE OPEN… AND ANSWERING THE PHONE! So thrilled. Drove down there, had my car diagnosed (yep need a new radiator) and they said, depending if they could get the part today, the car could be done the same day! (Thank goodness otherwise I’d be taking a cab home). I dropped the car off around 9:30am, picked the car up around 2:30pm. Price was very reasonable especially considering they could have been closed like all the other shops in town.
I will be taking my future business to them!

I started taking my cars to Don years ago upon a recommendation. He’s honest, fairly priced and has great customer service. A couple of times he’s checked out a weird noise and when he couldn’t find the culprit didn’t charge me, even though I know he’s spent a bit of time on it. Don is like my hairdresser, he’s not allowed to retire or move! And I don’t know if this matters but his shop is so clean it could be a restaurant.

Here’s your honest mechanic! I’ve taken every car I’ve owned for the past 10 years to MacVitie and they are super friendly, prompt and always have some sort of maintenance special going on. I’d recommend them to anyone!

They covered and stored my car for free while my insurance was deciding whether to repair my car or not. Ultimately my car was claimed by my insurance company and MacVitie did not do any work on the vehicle, but I do appreciate that they did not charge me for housing my vehicle for the week! They seem like an honest garage that is not going to overcharge you or «find» things to repair…
