We continue to refine our techniques and knowledge while creating benchmarks for modern detailing. As part of elite detailers of the world, we offer installation of Opti-​Coat Pro, the most advanced and strongest coating in the world made from Silicon Carbide and Opti-​Gloss Coat, a 2 year advanced Silicon Dioxide automotive clear coating. Additionally, we offer clear bra and paint protection film installation with future incorporation of window tinting as well.

With our mechanical engineering and computer science background, we understand and analyse various paint systems, thermodynamics of various abrasives, mechanics of materials, coating structures, polymer bonding and machine technology which helps us in providing you with a detailing experience that is unique, informed and miles ahead of its competition.

History

Established in 2014.

Robust Auto Detailing began in March, 2014 when Fahad’s passion turned into a business. It started at the heart of the Wine County, Napa, and has since been expanded to service the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

Initially, Robust Auto Detailing offered luxury car care but has since expanded into high end premium coatings and clear paint protection films.

Fahad pursues his passion in detailing and enjoys learning about science, innovation, technology and robotics. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Purdue and was born in Nashville, TN. He also hosts a podcast called «Epic Tea Times», available on iTunes, is into fitness, astrophysics, neuroscience, programming, video-​making and writing blogs and articles. His true goal in life is to help humanity through innovation.

I have a 2014 Tesla with about 20,000 miles. Fahad came to my house in the east bay and applied Opti-​Coat Pro to my car & windshield late last year. He did an excellent job for a good price. When I informed him that I didn’t think the treatment was working very well on my windshield, he came out and reapplied it without charge. I would recommend him highly.

Fahad is the best! It’s been a couple months now and I realized I forgot to write a review. I had some fairly severe water spots on my 2014 Corvette; I tried everything to get rid of them and nothing worked. After a lot of research I called him and he was very knowledgable. He came out and recommended that after removing the water spots I should protect the paint with Opti-​Coat. I could not be more happy with the results! I’m very cautious when it comes to having things done to my car but Fahad does grade A work. Would absolutely recommend!

Fahad is terrific. He came all the way from his home base in the North Bay to our home in Silicon Valley and spent the entire day detailing our new Porsche Cayenne with Opti-​Coat Pro. Fahad provides an exceptional service. He responded immediately and though busy, he was gracious enough to fit us in. He is so charming, professional and with extreme attention to detail.
We have a car that had not been detailed since 2011– 2 dogs and 2 cats later with ski trips and camping the interior was a mess. We had the interior package and it now looks sparkling clean.
I felt he really cared about our car and us. He wanted to make sure we were satisfied with his job– which we were. If I could give more stars I would. Worth every penny.

I was looking for someone to apply a protective coating to protect the paint on my new 2015 Mercedes-​Benz. When I discovered Robust Auto Detailing, I inquired about Opti-​Coat. Fahad educated me on the product, its application, and the benefits of treating other surfaces beyond the paint.
I was extremely impressed with his knowledge of the product. While my car was new, it wasn’t without its issues. During a stay at a resort, somehow the car had become covered in water spots. Fahad explained that the water spots had to be removed before applying Opti-​Coat due to the continual damage that the mineral deposits can have on the paint.
When he came out to work on the car, he explained the process and showed me the water spot damage. My car is white, and I certainly do not have the trained eye that he has. My car was a mess, but he assured me that he could take care of it.
It was a two day process, due to the water damage. He performed all the work in my garage (and it was two blazing hot August days!). When he finished, it looked better than the day I purchased it. The smooth as glass finish repels just about everything! I followed his washing recommendation (he has a great video that shows you how to do it) and it really was the fastest and easiest process ever. Best thing about it – no hose to drag around! I washed it right in my garage!
I can’t say enough amazing things about this entire process. Fahad is a true professional. It’s obvious that he really enjoys what he does. He has an eye for perfection. He saw things that I would have NEVER noticed. He wants to get to know his customers as well. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him!
BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking for a high quality product, performed under the highest standards, call Robust Auto Detailing. It is money well spent!

Fahad is as good as as they come. I am an extremely meticulous car owner with a dark color car — not a good combo. I contacted Fahad after the dealer damaged the original coating on the paint. He was very patient, answering my many email questions over several days with honest reviews of product and helped me settle on OptiCoat Pro.
He performed this in my garage, and let me say, the other previous reviews are exactly right — he is meticulous, friendly, honest and extraordinarily precise with his work. The car looks better than it did new, and it only has 4500 miles on it! Further, after a long day, he even took more time to show me a few tips and products he recommended, but didn’t sell, to make my future upkeep easier. It was a three coat process, one of his first, and likely overkill, but that’s the story of my life.
This experience makes my decision to use him to do the same coating and process on on my wife’s car, even better. I will see him again tomorrow and couldn’t be more thrilled.
This is a small business owner you should definitely feel good about supporting!!!

I was totally blown away by how exceptional this detail service was! My car is a 2005 BMW, that I drive every day. It is well-​loved, and for Valentine’s Day my husband got me this luxurious detail package. Fahad has extreme attention to detail, and my car looked as great as it did when I first got it. Not to mention, Fahad is very pleasant and easy to work with. He shows up with a great attitude and takes pride in his work, which shows in the delivery of his product. I highly recommend this service, it is really worth it considering the quality of work!

I have a Tesla with approx. 17K miles. I should have Opti-​Coated my car when I bought it, but I did not think the soft paint was going to be such a problem. 17K miles later, I had number of rock chips on the hood of the car. I took my car around number of places, but the quotes to fix rock chips were ridiculous. After finding Fahad on Tesla forums and speaking to him number of times on the phone, I decided to have him come out and Opti Coat the car. Although he told me that he may not be able to get all the paint chips fixed, he was going to try.
Fahad drove down to my house in San Jose and worked out of my garage. His attention to detail quality of work is great. 9 hours later, he had Opti-​Coat Pro the paint, Opti-​Glass the windshield, Opti-​Lens the lights and also protected the rims.
You should see the car’s paint and the rims. He had worked on removing most of the paint chips. The car looks like it just drove out of the showroom.
Incredible work! Highly recommended! Total cost of all the work — under $ 650.

I have a 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 — ALL BLACK! I had hard water spots from front to back and swirls galore. Fahad had all the tools and materials available on hand! He was able to restore every inch of this beast– Paint looks brand new! I assure you I’ll be parking it in the garage from now on.

The owner, Fahad, prepared the surface and applied Opti-​Coat Pro, Opti-​Glass, and Opti-​Lens to my new car. He is a perfectionists and it showed in the result. He took a good looking, new from the factory car and made it look great. The price was more than reasonable given the 8+ hours he spent on the exterior of the car. Fahad expertly detailed my 5 year old BMW 528i. I had badly neglected my dark blue car for years and the paint had lost all it’s luster. I had contacted Fahad at Robust AD after work one evening, I was in desperate need of a wash asap, as I had found my SUV covered in tree sap that morning. The proprietor was kind enough to tend to my vehicle even though my availability was after the posted hours of operation. Fahad is mobile, and has all the tools needed. He met me at a location convenient for me as I had a commitment that evening from 7−9pm.
He worked on my vehicle in the semi empty parking lot where I was located, from roughly 8 – 9:30pm. It was dark by the time he was finishing up, but he did not let that deter him from his meticulous style of craftsmanship. The sap was BAD! but it was completely gone after he washed and clayed my car. It looked great and the customer service was exemplary. The only thing I would note is that my rims/​wheels were not serviced, so I had a gleaming car with less than attractive rims. Granted, it was 9pm and dark out by the time he finished– so I gave it a pass, otherwise would expect that. $ 70 cost.

Exceptional service and results! Prompt, courteous, and very professional. Arrived at our home exactly as scheduled, then went straight to work on a deluxe exterior and interior treatment for our four-year-old/90,000-mile car. After spending 9+ hours meticulously tending to our car, Fahad has restored our car back to virtually new, immaculate condition. For the painstakingly perfectionist care Fahad gives, the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend for those who consider their car an investment or want to keep it in mint condition for many years.
