Bringing laughter and playfulness into the home and garden is our mission and our number one reason for being in business. With that in mind, we strive to provide merchandise, as well as an environment, that is guaranteed to bring a smile (or two). Many of our delightful products are handcrafted by U.S. artisans (six of our family members among them), from whimsical birdhouses to stunning bird nest sculptures. History

Established in 2008.

Pure and simple, The Playful Garden was born out of a desire to have fun sharing the joy of gardening with others. The store has since expanded beyond the scope of gardening, blossoming into a nature-​inspired gift shop/​gallery enjoyed by gardeners and non-​gardeners alike. In November, we opened Playful Digs, kitty-​corner and across the street at 1201 First St. A sister store to The Playful Garden, Playful Digs is geared more toward the gardener and garden-​lover and provides planet-​friendly products for garden-​play!
