Worst experience in my life I went to have a tooth pulled he agreed they hooked me up to laughing gas and then decided it was a good time to talk to me about pricing I was told it was 280 for the pull out of pocket I agreed then the see i have good insurance and decided they weren’t going to pull my tooth they had their hearts set on a root canal which I didn’t want for other reasons so long story short they decide not to pull the tooth and still charge me 200 then while in sitting there he calls all the staff to the room I’m in that’s barely bigger than a closet and is very rude to them in front of me very unprofessional then they say I need to come back so I set an appointment they don’t give me a card with the date they say I will call or text you well they call 20 mins before my appointment and I forgot about they want to charge me «a few hundred buck» to take pictures I feel are unnecessary for a cleaning I decline the appointment and they say I owe them 50 bucks for not showing with only a 20 minute heads up gladly will pay the 50 dollars to have these clowns outta my life also how do you charge 200 dollars without submitting to my insurance and say well we can refund what ever the cover they should submitt the bill and then mail the remainder to me like the rest of the world not to mention as I’m paying her a lady gets out of the room and tries to leave while keith brown stops her at he elevator and refuses to let her go never will I refer anybody to this place

I could not be more happy with my visit to Dr. Brown’s office. I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst jaw and tooth pain I have ever had. I called the emergency line at his office, which went directly to his cell phone. Dr. Brown picked up, was very pleasant and understanding and took me in the next day, right away!
Upon arrival, Susan had my insurance checked up on, talked with my fiancé of the charges and was very sweet. Dr. Brown was also very hospitable and did a professional job while treating his staff with respect.
This is now my routine dentist for as long as I live here.

Awesome staff. Dr. Brown is friendly and professional. They make sure you are comfortable. Best dentist visit I HAVE EVERY HAD IN LIFE, and I had a wisdom tooth removed!

Right now I’m a 4 star although I have to admit with all of the negative views my ‘spidey sense’ is definitely perked. I had a good amount of work done in 2 visits as well, I’ve neglected the teeth for a long time. Time will tell. Dr. Brown seems to be a perfectionist which is a good thing to me. He does have a ‘unique’ ‘bedside manner’ however I’m not in a position to judge either way. In my opinion the financial part of the all medical industries in the US is a freekin joke at the moment so I can’t even go there yet as there is nothing inherently different about this field. Capitalism at its best.
I’ll reserve final judgement as I have a few more appointments scheduled. To be continued… 4 stars at the moment with the capability of ranging every where between 2 and 5 pending future engagements.
Update.
It’s ironic that the office sits in the same building and directly above a Bank. I feel as if perhaps there was a magnet from the bank safe pulling money out of my pockets. That’s all I’ll say. To be fair, perhaps I’m just naïve on the state of the financial expenses of US Dental treatment. With a huge amount of line items on the invoice of procedures that are difficult for the layperson to understand, it can be equated to hearing sounds in your car and walking out of the repair shop being charged with a new high voltage coil lead. You don’t know what the hell it is. You’re just desperate to get if fixed, you have no idea what the going rate is for it, and you just trust you needed it. That being said, I was uninsured and paying out of pocket. Perhaps some of the billing is a bit more transparent when an Insurance company is providing checks and balances.
I ended up switching to a dentist that was closer to me to which my parents, sister, as well as my nieces went. Not for lack of quality of work, but rather feeling more comfortable. Such as you’re always more comfortable going to a car repair shop for which you have known others that went and confirmed reasonable fees.

I’m not sure where to start but I really tried to like dr. Brown. He seemed nice at first but he turned out to be extremely arrogant and rude to his staff as well.
But that’s not why I’m writing this, I was in to see Dr. Brown about a week ago for a cleaning… During the cleaning Shannon the front desk lady had researched my insurance and found out that I had pretty good insurance that my company provided for me. She instantly mentions it to dr. Brown and he begins talking about all the problems that I now have with my mouth. He combs through my teeth and tells me that I have 15 cavities that need to be filled. I was shocked it had only been a year since my last cleaning, they also told me that I need a custom fitted night guard because I grind my teeth when I sleep which would cost $ 800. (They sell them at Wal-​Mart for $ 20) by the end of the cleaning I had now owed him $ 5000 my insurance covered about half of it leaving me with a $ 2,200 bill. I had just graduated from school… Needless to say I don’t have that much money.
Just to be sure they weren’t mistaken I asked Shannon exactly how many cavities I had, she took a look at the sheet and confirmed 15. Then asked me how I would like to pay for it. I trusted them thinking that they were professionals who knew what they were talking about and paid the $ 2,200. I ended up getting my money back because I had not chose to go through with the appointment. I went to another dentist to see how many cavities I actually had. He took a look and told me I only had 1 cavity! I can only assume that Dr. Brown would’ve drilled 14 other holes into my good teeth if I had gone back.
I can only hope you take my advice and not go there at all. If you do end up going there and he tells you something is wrong I would get a second opinion. He is a business man not a doctor.

Dr. Brown has done more for me, my smile, and overall health than 5 Dentists put together. He has always been very professional and precise with his work. I met him when I was at my most vulnerable state… 3 months pregnant and in a lot of pain. Not only did he fix multiple problems that had risen but he also helped set me up to have a comfortable and safe pregnancy. The compassion this Doctor showed me was above that of any professional I have ever met in my life. The work he has done has been better than any other Dentist I have ever been to– To this day I do not know a single person other than myself that can honestly say that they had a tooth extracted and didn’t need more than a single Tylenol. That is how much care this man puts into his work.
Since that time I have seen Dr. Brown for some major issues that have actually resulted in more than physical pain– I have experienced a decline in my confidence and self esteem all because I was embarrassed to smile. I actually have not seen a picture of myself smiling in 15 years! As of last week I proudly showed off my new smile in a family photo shoot and I know what people mean now when they say «a smile is worth a million dollars», because it really is. Dr. Brown got me to a place where I am no longer in pain and can show the world how happy I am. My confidence is higher, my mood and attitude toward life is better and I owe that to the good Dentist and his caring staff. I will never be afraid to visit the Dentist for anything ever again whether I have to have a root canal or a cleaning.
If you take ownership of your health and communicate with him you will be in a better place.

This was my dentist back when I lived in Illinois and the staff was always pleasant and professional. They worked with me to help plan out my dental plan and have really helped me hold higher priority for my dental health.
I will always hold Dr. Brown in the highest regards. I wouldn’t have the pearly whites I have today without his help then. Thank you! :)

The dental office underestimated the bill. I told them at the time of service to make sure of the total. They called my insurance and got the total I owed. I payed the correct amount. Then they sent me a bill for a balance. I told them to send me a detailed bill. They never sent the detailed bill only the same bill with a financing charge. This dental office is a scam. Be ready for a bill sent to you for charges they will not explain. Also I was given a small amount of pain killers for an emergency extraction and the doctor would not do a refill even though I was still in pain. Avoid this dentist!

STAY AWAY! Absolute scam artist!
When I was in high school, I went to Dr. Brown because my parents had met him through their church group (never trust christians, biggest scam artists of all time). As I was a minor, I don’t think I had much of a choice in the matter, nor did I have the foresight to understand what the difference was between a good dentist and a bad one.
Anyways, fast forward four years after the first appointment with Dr. Brown, I have 3 root canals and 4 crowns. He would repeatedly feel the need to continue drilling until it was past the point of preservation and had no choice but to either crown it off or perform root canal surgery. I never previously had any pain or discomfort with any of these teeth, I always had a decent dental record prior to my visit with Dr. Brown.
I just don’t think it was absolutely necessary to have these major procedures done. I just think there could have been some sort of conservative solution to preserve as much as possible. Then maybe, if it did finally get to a point where I would encounter pain, then have root canal.
Now, as a result of all of this, I currently have to have two of the teeth pulled that Dr. Brown operated on because there is an infection in one and internal root resorption in another…
Always make sure to ask for a second opinion. Do yourself a favor, make sure Dr. Brown is not one of them.

This guy is the worst. He was ok for routine cleanings, but when he took out my wisdom teeth, it was a horrible experience. It hurt a LOT, more than anyone else I know. I was out for two weeks, in tons of pain with gums bleeding for TWO WEEKS. I’ve talked to a lot of people who have had their wisdom teeth removed, but no one I know had it as bad as I did.
Later, my orthodontist looked at the xrays and said the teeth probably shouldn’t have come out.
On top of that, the staff were rude to me a couple times. This would be forgivable if it weren’t for my horrible experience with oral surgery here.
I switched dentists, and I am much, much happier elsewhere.
