Naperville Dupage Taxi Inc

Based on their Unilocal reviews, they were my last call. I called them because I had to because no other service was available when I needed a lift from the burbs to Chicago.
However, my experience with them was great! They showed up on time, the vehicle was clean, and Mark, the driver, was a safe driver and was highly professional. Also, I felt the overall price was very fair.
I question whether the last several reviews are really valid. My thought is they were written by competitors.
Naperville Dupage Taxi went from my last call to my first call!

This is my second review. I told myself I would never use Naperville DuPage taxi after my last review. I must be the laziest person on Earth and a glutton for punishment. I’ve used them a few times since. I had one driver that had absolutely no idea where he was going and completely missed the I-​294 S exit to get to 88 in DuPage. How do you work for Naperville DuPage taxi and not know how to get to the Western Suburbs from O’Hare? Tonight, however was the icing on the cake. I had a reservation for a pick-​up and when I called the dispatcher to let them know I was ready for pick up and had my bags, I was put on hold for more than 4 minutes. When the dispatcher finally came back all he had to say was that he was sorry and couldn’t reach my driver. Closest driver is 30 minutes away. Screw you NDT! I am deleting you from my contacts immediately. You are an endless source of frustration. Buh-​bye. I feel better already knowing I will never ride in another one of your shitty smelly taxis or have to deal with your degenerate drivers.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAB SERVICE! They are horrible at keeping appointments you made in advance. I made a booking for pick twice and they did not turn up both times. Today when I tried to call back to ask what was the reason this time they did not answer or call back to any of the voice messages I left asking if some one was on the way.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We needed to cab for 6 people last night to go from south Naperville to downtown Naperville. We frequently use cabs, usually about 2 – 3 times a month. Our normal guy with a different company was busy so we decided to try NDT.
Some companies charge a flat rate charge on top of the meter for vans but this company assured us that they do not. When we called, the guy said it would be 20 minutes. He showed up 35 minutes later. We never got the drivers name but he said it was his 2^nd day driving for the company.
The major issue we had, which we questioned was that he charged $ 11 on top of the meter right off the bat. If they do not have a charge for a van, it is $ 1 per extra passenger, which would be an additional $ 5, so where does $ 11 come into play? When questioned, the guy just said «don’t worry, enjoy the ride». Okay buddy, this extra money is coming out of our pocket so we will not enjoy anything! Every time we would ask him a question, he would avoid it by blasting his music and was continuously texting and playing on his phone while driving.
He seemed to be unfamiliar with Naperville and would ignore our directions. While sitting at a red light to turn left, the light turned green but did not give an arrow for us. The driver went and came inches from being t-​boned. This driver was very unsafe and was driving within two lanes.
Watch your meters if you do use this company!

This company is absolutely horrible. They were 20 minutes late picking me up for a ride I had scheduled a few days before to the airport. I almost missed my flight for a major business meeting that would have literally ruined my career. They gave several stupid excuses, like they read the address wrong and the dispatcher gave the driver the wrong phone number. I had to call the dispatcher 3 times while I was waiting to see where the driver was, if he was on his way, etc, so that I’d know if I needed to call another company and the dispatcher was also useless, saying, I think he’s on his way, I can’t get ahold of him, I don’t have his phone number, etc. What a joke. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

I’ve used this company several times to travel to the airport for work. Pick up is pretty reliable. Drivers are nice. Car is reasonably clean. Pick up from the airports is always terrible even if you call a few hours or a few days ahead. Usually about an hour delay so it’s a little faster if you call without a reservation. So I’ve learned to use another company for that.

Prompt but dangerous. Used them twice when I forgot to book ahead with my regular guy. First time ok, driver was a nice, regular working guy. Second driver blasted music, drove like a maniac and had a dirty, beat up cab with no back seat seatbelts. Literally driving 85−90mph tailgating on I-​88 even after I told him to slow down. May be fine for local short trips but avoid airport runs.

I have taken cabs from this company a few times. Each time, the cab’s arrival was extremely prompt. On that score, I give the company very high marks.
However, the cabs have also been rather dirty. The drivers are also a strange bunch. The first one was friendly, but simply would not stop talking. Ever. I think he’s still talking. Another was oddly alternative. And the last one was extremely rough around the edges — yelling at other cars, swearing, making racist remarks about other drivers, griping about the roads, complaining about riders’ tips, and saying he «wouldn’t be caught dead living in Naperville.» Uh, you picked me up in Naperville, dude.
Though credit cards are accepted, two of the three drivers were relentless in urging me to pay in cash, including one who told me his rent was due that day. Another said I could pay part of it in cash. That’s annoying, especially when your fare is expensive.
With respect to timeliness, they’re great. But I still can’t recommend the company with enthusiasm. Ask me where I’m going, and then simply take me there. I plan to try out Naperville’s other company next time to compare.
