I came in to get two things altered: 1) a lace bridesmaid dress($ 65) 2) the hem fell out of the bottom of my coat($ 10) For the bridesmaid dress, Ted measured and pinned in certain areas. I asked if it could be tighter and he said if he made it any tighter, the material would rip if I sat down. He said it looked perfect with the pins in it. I wanted it tighter but I said ok because I figured he knew best. I came in to pick up the dress and try it on. I put it on and it looked a tiny bit more fitted but I had absolutely no shape in it and looked like a blob(I am a size 00 and this dress was a size 2. He maybe turned it into a size 1.5 or 1). He saw it on me and asked how I liked it. I said it was good(lying because I didn’t want to be mean) but then told him it was pretty loose in certain spots. Again he told me if he took it in more, that the delicate material would rip when I sat down. So I decided to take it home. I asked about my coat and he said he forgot. He did it in a few minutes while I stood there though. Very fast. I took the dress home and tried it on and was again very dissatisfied. I called Ted up and he said I could come in again and agreed on no charge. We re measured and he fixed it again. The next time I tried it on, it looked amazing on me and I had curves! At the wedding when all of the bridesmaids put on their dresses, everyone was complimenting me on how well the dress fit and even said they will all hide behind me in pictures because this was how the dress was supposed to look(most of them did not get theirs altered as fitted). Thanks Ted! :)

The work here is excellent. The business is run out of the couples home and you just walk up to the door and into their little«work studio.» There are 2 dressing rooms and it is quite a professionally run business. I took two dresses in and both came out wonderfully. One needed the entire zipper removed in order to take the size in(lots of work on that one) and the other need to be tailored down a size in both the straps and bodice. I am happy with the results. For both dresses I paid $ 80, but for the amount of work that was done on both, I was all right with that price. Be sure you bring cash or check. No credit cards here.

I took in some of my daughter’s dress pants on one occasion and her winter dance dress on another in early 2013. They did a great job and were very fast. I thought the pricing was fair, not cheap but less than most of the dry cleaners around Naperville. They delivered the garments on time and the fit was perfect. I would recommend this business.
