Niki Moon Salon offers a wide variety of hair specialties, we specialize in color services like Balayage, Ombré, Colormelting, babylights, natural lights, highlights, lowlights, all over color, color correction, grey blending and grey coverage.

We also offer women’s haircuts, texture cuts, precision cuts, short hair styling, long hair styling, curly hair cutting, men’s haircuts, and children’s cuts.

Established in 2008.

Niki Moon Salon was established in 2008 as an independant stylist salon and has grown to so much more! We now have ten very talented stylists on our team. We are in a beautiful new location in Naperville. We have always had a passion for hair and making people feel better about themselves. It has been a long standing belief of ours that every person is beautiful and we feel it’s our job to enhance it. We are excited to be in a new location and would love for you to come join us! Our team of stylists are incredibly talented and passionate when it comes to hair. We love what we do and we look forward to sharing the joy of hair with you. I chose the profession because I love the artistry of hairdressing. It is so rewarding to use my skills to cut and color your hair to help you look your best. I chose this profession because I love making people happy. There is nothing like handing a client a mirror after a salon service and watching her eyes light up as she studies her swingy, shiny new style or her rich, vibrant new hair color. Even more special is how frequently a client will come into the salon looking weary, and leave with a spring in her step and a noticeable new confidence in her posture. Often I get calls from my clients the day after an appointment, thanking me for making them feel so special. I understand nothing makes you feel better than having beautiful hair. It’s a mood elevator and an assurance booster. So no matter what else is going on in your life, let me make your hair beautiful and your spirit soar. Transforming your hair is my profession and my pleasure because your transformation is my passion!

Love this place! Friendly staff with welcoming smiles. I feel like they’re genuinely glad to see me when I come in. Brynn is amazing. Talented and kind, a «real» person who listens to what you want but also gives her honest, professional advice based on what your hair can really do. I always leave happy.

Amazing!!! Their customer service is unbelievable! I usually see Heather for my haircuts (Heather knows her stuff! Plus, she’s super personable). I was in serious need of a haircut and Heather was completely booked (yes, I know… Should have made my appointment sooner). The receptionist told me I could see another hairdresser on that weekend but never told me the hairdresser’s rate was higher than Heather’s. I didn’t find out until I had to pay, that made me a bit upset. Whenever you pay for a service with Niki Moon they send you a receipt via email and a survey. I completed the survey and told them how disappointed I was to find out my hair cut was about $ 25 more than normal; two days later Niki Moon salon called to apologize and offered me a credit for the overpayment or a reimbursement back to my card. Not only do they have amazing headdresses but they do whatever they can to offer exceptional service!

I usually fly back to my stylist in CA to get my hair cut when I already have a plan to be out there, but my trips are fewer and far between so after 5 years living the the area I decided it was time to find a salon close by. After reading the reviews I decided to try Niki Moon Salon. The salon was very nice and well decorated. The people working there were very friendly and professional. Good customer service. Unfortunately the cut was just okay. I felt like my fine hair looked flatter and had less movement after it was cut here. There was no real effort to style the hair at the end of the appointment. It was disappointing. I’m one of those who doesn’t mind paying more for a good cut and experience. Perhaps I need to specify that I need a more senior stylist if I decide to return. Otherwise my search continues…

I visited Niki Moon for the first time today and was beyond thrilled. Some friends had recommended the studio and I visited for a haircut with Samantha — she was very fun and professional, and did a great job melding my ideas together to create a great new style for me. I was so happy when I walked out!
The studio is beautiful and very welcoming — I will definitely be visiting again!

Really nice salon.
I’ve given reviews of salons and stylists before, and usually I say I go for the stylist, not the salon… meaning the stylist is the reason I keep going back. After moving back to the area we needed to find a new salon. I chose Niki Moon based on reviews…
I was really amazed at the salon itself. It may seem a little hidden and tucked away off the main road, but it has the style and charm of a high end salon. It feels very inviting and comfortable, so I want to keep going back.
My review this time is mainly about the salon, as they have many great stylists there. We were paired up with Jacqueline and she did a really good job.

Nikki is a hair God! She really values her clients and is very professional and experienced.
The salon itself is rustic yet chic and they serve coffee, water, wine and even Blue Moon (get it?!) its very clean and unique… I love it.
I was really excited to find a salon that fits me and my hair. Nikki new exactly what I wanted and made it happen. She was fun to chat with during my two hour hair color makeover.
My hair was an auburn and I wanted a balyage with Browns and blondes… I tried uploading the photo but not sure f it worked.
I highly recommend going here. Everyone is super attentive and accommodating.

I came here because a friend of mine recommended this place and Jacqueline.
I live in Chicago and drove all the way to Naperville and I am so glad I did. The minute I walked in I was greeted with a smile and was asked if I wanted anything to drink; I chose coffee and it was delicious!
The shampooing was pleasant and Jacqueline was attentive and was telling me what she was doing every step of the way.
I enjoyed my experience very much and will definitely be back!

Always the best service and my hair looks fabulous when I walk out the door. It doesn’t hurt that the new location is even more beautiful than the last. You are greeted with a friendly smile and an offer of a tasty beverage. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the services are top notch. What more could you ask for?

I came here for a new look, but a subtle new look. I have thick and long hair. Unfortunately, due to age, my hair line has changed so having bangs just doesn’t do well for me. I found Nikki Moon through Unilocal and decided to try them out based on the five star rating reviews.
The phone call was very professional. I don’t think I have ever experienced a salon that had receptionists to be this way. She asked for my information to add my appointment in. Before I committed to the appointment, I asked a lot of questions about my hair stylist to make sure she was the right fit for me. Tiffany has been in the industry for many years and has had a good running track of happy clients who will only have their hair styled by her. She also makes sure she’s up to date with her profession and styles, etc. She’s also very ood at cutting my kindness of hair. I was excited and could not wait for my appointment.
Upon arrival at Nikki Moon the receptionist greeted me with a smile, asked if I had an appointment, and offered me coffee or another kind of beverage. It’s definitely a friendly atmosphere. When Tiffany greeted me, her personality was welcoming, one who seems really kind. She was very professional, asked me what i wanted as an end result, listened, looked at the pictures I had as examples of cuts, and made sure that I got the exact style I wanted.
I was definitely satisfied with the end result. I couldn’t be happier. The style was affordable. It seemed the price would be higher as the salon looked like it was a high priced salon. but, it’s price friendly to all people. I’ll definitely be back here again.

I love this place. Mainly bc of the stylist Erica! My 6 year old daughter needed a hair cut and she was so great with her! She had a HUGE knot in the back and she was so gentle and making sure my daughter was ok. The cut was super cute! I’m gonna make an appointment for myself bc they give you free wine! Oh yeeeeeah!

Loved the cut and color I received, however I’m only giving it three stars because when you spend money on a haircut, color and highlights the last thing you expect to see is grey hair a couple days later. Maybe that was my fault for not being more specific but I kinda thought I was when I said I hated the grey in my hair and showed them a picture of the color I wanted. Otherwise it’s a great place and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been going to Jacqueline for a couple of months now and have really enjoyed every experience with her! I switched after my salon just got too expensive, started charging for blow drys, etc. and I’m quite happy I did! Jacqueline has been very accommodating and I like to hear her opinions before we get started because I really think she knows what she’s talking about and I value them :)
My mom has recently switched to this salon too and we both have nothing but positive things to say. My co-​worker actually referred the salon to me in the first place so that’s 3 positive reviews just from the people that I know. I think they should implement a credit for referrals though, that is the one thing that kind of bugs me, but not enough to send me elsewhere :)

Hardest part about moving to a new area is finding a good stylist. Love Tiffany! She works with me on what I have in mind and what will work for my hair texture and my styling habits. I always walk out loving my hair. Just booked my next appointment!

I’m new to the area and decided to try out Niki Moon Salon as it is close to wear I live. I always hate trying to find a new hair stylist but after today I will continue coming here! I came in after having foil highlights and haircut in April and then nothing since. My highlights had grown out and my hair looked heavy and dull.
1. Super easy to get an appointment! I called Monday and they had appointments this week. I had by hair done the next day! Awesome!
2. My stylist was Erica and I was told she was a junior stylist when I booked my appointment. She did an AMAZING JOB! I showed her a picture or 2 off pinterest of the look I wanted (Balayage that looked very natural and would grow out nicely allowing me to have more time between appointments with a long layered cut) She heIped me decide what color tone I was looking for then she got to work. Highlights were painted in then she glazed my hair to get the right color look and blend everything together. I LOVE how the color turned out, exactly what I was looking for. The cut is great too, falls nicely and the layers give me more volume on top where I need it.
3. The Salon was very easy to find
4. I love the website and social media presence. It allowed me to see what the salon is all about and the quality of work they produce before I made an appointment.
5. Everyone was very friendly and nice from the moment I walked in the door. I did not feel like an inconvenience at any point during my time in Niki Moon Salon
6. The inside of this place is gorgeous! I loved the fireplace in the waiting area and all the unique stonework and chandeliers.
I would not hesitate to come back here and see Erica or any of the stylists for my hair needs!

I’m updating this review today and adding a couple of stars because niki was kind enough to give me a call and offer me a full refund. This was very kind of her because the charge included a haircut, and the haircut I received at this salon was actually very good.

I had originally decided to come here because of all the good Unilocal reviews.
I made an appointment for a color correction consultation, I had blonde hair and was unhappy with my warm gold and orangish tones, wanted an ashy, cool blonde color.
The stylist told me that she will definitely be able to get me what I want. Great! However after the next appointment she told me that there’s a little bit of gold left… okay fine, a little bit, no big deal. When I came home I noticed that not only was there significantly more gold, but the underneath of my hair was orange.
I called to complain and was scheduled for another appointment to fix it with a different stylist. During that visit, she said she wasn’t really able to see the orange hues, honestly I think it’s because of the lighting in the store, I definitely see it. She said she can try to get rid of some of the orangy pieces but won’t have time to do them all cause that would take a long time and require a color correction. UM YEAH, that’s originally what I came in for. She didn’t give me the time of day to fix my hair, quickly added some highlights and told me I would have to wait 25 – 30 minutes if I wanted a blow dry. Honestly my hair dries on its own within that time so I left with wet hair. I came home and not to my surprise, the orange is still there.
I payed $ 260.00 for this color with a cut and tips. I have a few weddings coming up where I have to get an up-​do and obviously the orange will be very noticeable then. Overall, I’m extremely disappointing with this salon.

After getting a taste of Niki Moon Salon at a Unilocal Elite Event, I knew I needed to come back. Since I usually get my hairs cut at places that I shouldn’t –think places that rhyme with Hair Puttery and Great Pips – this was quite the upgrade or me. And it was everything I ever hoped it would be. This place has first class service and I was offered a bevy of beverages when I walked in. I stuck with water but I think I made a mistake and I should have upgraded to wine.
Bella got to work right away with my hair. We talked about what I wanted to do with it, which was pretty simple just get all the dried dead ends cut off and freshen up my layers and do some face framing. We started off with a relaxing shampoo and condition. I should just go get my hair washed at salon because it is one of the most relaxing feelings ever. Niki Moon salon uses some really top quality products. Me and my hair love them.
Bella did a great job with my hair and I love my new ‘do. Plus she was fun to talk to the whole time. I walked outta there and demanded my husband take me out on a date. He didn’t because I didn’t get home till after 8 pm and it was a Tuesday and we are lame now. But I did take my new style to work the next day and got some compliments so #winning
I can’t recommend Niki Moon enough!

Niki gets 4 stars for the friendly staff, quality of service, spacious salon and cleanliness. For a busy event, the staff were organized and on point. I didn’t feel rushed and my dresser was attentive and very courteous. The Unilocal and Niki staff were very accommodating. I will most definitely return for another service. No 5th star because I’m not crazy about the location.

It’s been 8 months since I made the leap and began going to Bella at Niki Moon. I walked in the first time and sat in her chair and as soon as she touched my hair, she asked if I’d had my hair bleached. I cringed; my secret was out. The Summer before, I had a horrendous experience when my former stylist thought I wanted lots of blonde highlights when I actually wanted streaks of bright red mixed in with my natural red. Not only was it not the color I wanted, but it was left on for so long that my hair totally fried. It was eventually covered up but the damage could still be felt. It was brittle and breaking off, no matter how many protein treatments the other salon offered! It felt like straw and it was devastating! –Especially for a girl whose hair texture and red tresses used to be the envy of her friends. :(
I lived with my brittle hair for 6 months. I kept telling my stylist that my hair just didn’t feel good to me but she didn’t seem to get it! I tried everything I could do on my end. I started taking cold showers (Brrrrrrrr!!! This is Chicago, people!), stopped blowing my hair dry (Again, hello?! That’s NOT fun in the cold winter!), stopped straightening it… For several months, I was living in pony tails, trying to keep heat off of my hair. De-​press-​ing.
I finally left and began seeing Bella after she styled my hair (fabulously) for a business party. I haven’t had a protein treatment since I began coming here 8 months ago, yet my locks feel luxurious again! It feels good to run your fingers through it again! Phew! My fears of having to pull a «Britney Spears» and shave my head were all for naught. Between switching to the products Niki Moon uses, using their dyes instead of the previous Aveda dyes, and of course, Bella slowly getting all of the dead hair cut off, I have the hair I used to have before it was ruined!
Hallelujah for that, because shaving my head and wearing hot pink wigs would have clashed with my style!
