Paper Source

I came in this past Sunday (²⁄₆) and the two young ladies working at the time (afternoon) were so pleasant and very helpful. I found beautiful paper from Japan. They had more washi tape, which was awesome :-)

Paper Source excites me. And with good reason. It has the makings of perfectly wrapped gift giving for every person on the planet. Thick paper and in classy hues, these sheets represent anyone and everyone. From quirky themes such as Converse tennis shoes, vinyl records, and super heroes… to bugs, bicycles, and butterflies… doughnuts, coffee cups and macarons… simple prints, like chevron patterns or polka dots… maybe you want to wrap your gift in a beer bottle print or my personal favorite –famous city maps. I’m telling you, this store represents! After you pick your paper, there’s tissue papers and ribbons to choose as well. And a wall of high quality cards.
If the thought of so many choices makes you dizzy and you feel overwhelmed with such a task, the associates are very helpful and will not steer you wrong. With minimal information about the recipient, they could put together a masterpiece for you.
Their gift wrap is printed on 100% recycled, 30% post-​consumer waste paper. And is also archival and acid-​free. Pricey though.

Roll (2 sheets) — 27″ x 39″ are $ 7.95
That’s right. $ 2.95 for one (large) sheet of wrapping paper. For this, I’d never bother wrapping my kids’ gifts here. They’d never appreciate the perfect crisp edges that only come from nice thick paper. But, when you want to give a gift that truly impresses, that shows that you took the time to make it perfect, this is the place.

Pleasant store, with staff that are always eager to be of assistance. A good place to find a gift for your child’s gymnastics instructor, when you want to be a bit more creative than a Subway gift card. Like at nearby Sara Boo, you can find blocks with expressions designed to lift one’s spirits. When I pointed out the rather small selection of Hanukkah cards, I was politely told that I would probably do better up North. I appreciated the honesty.

I don’t really write reviews but I felt the need to let everyone know how amazing Julie is at paper source. I went in looking for things to make my save the date envelopes unique and Julie totally understand my vision. She showed me how to emboss from a stamp and now my envelopes look that much more awesome. She makes me want to learn more about crafting and you can totally tell she loves her job I can’t wait to go back for my invitations just to hear her input!

Adorable store with lots of cute ideas for gifts and crafting. I love their collections of birthday cards, some of them are really funny. It can be a tad pricey though.
They had a whole wall of stamps and they offer scrapbook making, too!
They also have lots of funny and witty gifts and trinkets. I was amazed by the beautiful collections of wrapping paper that they had. I will definitely come here again if I am shopping for birthday gifts and whatnot.

Call me crazy, but I could spend hours in here. Crafty paper, greeting cards, organizational nic nacs… Um yeah, that’s my jam.
When I walk into paper source I feel like I’ve entered into a cool club made up of only creative and organized people and I love it. The store is big, spacious and well lit. The walls are filled with all different pretty colored paper; wrapping paper, envelopes, scrapbooking materials, cards, you name it!
I have been to a Paper Source just once before this one (in the city) when my husband and I were trying to get an idea of what kind of wedding invitations we wanted (okay, so he didn’t care so much but he was with me). I was thrilled a couple weeks ago when I remembered there was a Paper Source downtown Nape!
I knew they carried cool little items (other than paper), so I stopped in looking for a birthday gift. I sadly didn’t find anything for my grandma, but boy did I mentally bookmark items for birthday, wedding, and christmas gifts for others! If there was such a thing as a Paper Source credit card (is there?!) you best believe I would have got my holiday shopping done in one fast swoop. So many unique and hilarious gifts.
My last trip to Paper Source brought me in for well, paper. Go figure. I decided it was time for me to actually complete a Pinterest project I had pinned. I wanted to modge podge the sides of a desk I was repurposing for a vanity. I was thinking I would just have to use square sheets of scrap booking paper that I would connect together, but low and behold Paper Source had something better! They sell large sheets of their fancy paper. They’re about $ 7 a pop but so worth it — so many beautiful colors and designs. I went with a cream colored paper with gold shiny polka dots all over it — super cute! It’s going to match perfect with my Kate Spade inspired bedroom. Speaking of that — they sell Kate Spade stationary items! So fabulous.
Yet again a fun and successful trip into their store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They wished me luck on my new project!

This was my second time visiting this store. The first time I purchased a couple of stamps and didn’t need any assistance. This time, I needed help with putting together wedding invitations. The customer service was very mediocre, definitely nothing special. I asked for assistance and the associate started by saying «what exactly so you need help with? We don’t do any printing here.» I wasn’t sure what the services were, so I replied by saying, «I don’t mind putting the invites together, but I need help.» I was able to explain what I wanted and she helped me put some paper products together. I was just less than impressed with the customer service. Through out her entire assistance, it seemed like a job and she just kind of wanted to finish and move on to the next task. I got the help I needed though, just would like someone with a bit more interest. They’re a bit pricey, but still nice paper products. I would recommend this store, but I’d advise that there may not be the most friendly assistance.

How much do I love stationary, wrapping paper, ink stamps an envelopes? So much. It is real and it is deep. When I gasped and exclaimed «WOW, look how MANY colors they have in A6 envelopes,» my husband looked at me wide eyed with wonder (I hope it was wonder and not fear at least). I then regaled him with tales of how the A6 envelope is the PERFECT size for DIY photo invitations. Yes. I love this kind of stuff.
You can find gorgeous greeting cards here for all occasions here. You can find the perfect wedding invitations. They have wrapping paper, business cards, stationary and photo albums for all occasions. They have knick knacks, gifts and doodads. The atmosphere here is unique, crafty and maybe even boutiquey.
They do have a small sale section here. But I will say that low prices are something you’re not likely to find here.

i cannot say how much I cannot stand this store. My daughter had the idea to go to the store for bridal shower invitations. They were super cute and we were told we would have them in 7 — 10 days. 3 weeks later — we didn’t have the cards… the snow prevented them from working, so they didn’t get done in a timely manner — they didn’t call or let us know the delay. When i called multiple times, i got the run around say they were being expressed… That wasn’t even right — they were delivered by our mailperson… So, all the invites to the shower went out late. and almost ruined my nieces’ shower.
3 months later, my daughter wanted to order her college graduation cards from them. I begged her not to use them, but again, they are super cute… So — she ordered them. a nd now we wait again. But yet — hold on they did more inane things. My college student got charged 3 times for the charge, resulting in a non sufficient charge from the bank. She called the place after she was charged the second time… and she thought it was resolved. but no… they charged her again… but this time she was in class — so I had to call… I was at work, but i was concerned she would be charged again. The staff had me on hold forever, and they didn’t even properly apologize. I ended up calling my bank to get everything removed… And, we still don’t have her cards.
In the end, their stuff is adorable. but their service, their timeliness is insanely horrible… staff is rude and I advise everyone that reads this to never, ever, ever, ever order anything you need for a timely manner, because they are inefficient… PLUS you might be charged triple. Shame on you Paper Source.

This is a cute little store with fabulous cards and gifts. I love almost everything they sell here.
So why am I not giving them 5 stars? It is because everything so freaking expensive! I mean, five and six dollars for a greeting card? And yet, I paid it for some because they are such great cards.
I hope to goodness that all that money is going to pay living wages for everyone involved in the production of these super cute cards.
I just can’t be more than a fan when a card costs a present price! Even if they are crazy wonderful cards.

My fiancé and I are weird, y’all.
When he proposed, he gave me a card for all the stuff he wouldn’t remember to say — the front? A skeleton with a giant red heart in his bony, bony chest. On Father’s Day, he gets cards… From the dogs. I’m a big fan of 80^th, 90^th, and 100^th birthday cards for just about any occasion. Paper goods, it would appear, are best when quirky.
I didn’t think I’d be able to find that kind of quirk in charming but a little-​not-​so-​quirky-​or-​original Naperville, but hey! Paper Source! You win.
I love that this store is huuuuuge and bright and crafty lookin. It’s like an upscale stationer and a Blick art supplies got smashed together. They have, of course, tons of cute cards, but also a huge selection of wrapping paper, card stock, scrapbook adornments, and knick knacks of nearly every variety. Seriously. For a minute I found myself standing there thinking «you know, maybe I DO need a reusable lunch bag adorned with calaveras!» (Spoiler alert: I don’t).
I went in today for valentines and was greeted by a cheerful but not obnoxious associate, who adeptly toed the line of leaving me alone to shop but not ignoring me. I was in there for ages because ALL the cards are so cute. You can get anything from a wholesome happy birthday greeting to a card boldly demanding you have a happy f***ing valentines day — and every occasion in between. And they’re beautiful quality cards, but really maybe only a dollar more than buying a card in a grocery store.
I will be back to shop here often! Today alone, I left with three cards. Yep — one from me, and two from the dogs.

This is the place to go when you think, «Man, I need to get a birthday card for someone, but American Greetings and Hallmark are lame.»
The expert staff here are extremely friendly and will help you out with whatever you need.
Useful for: students, teachers, card-​finders/​-​makers, gag-​gift-​purchasers, artists, writers, «hobbiers».

You know, the convenience of this place has been steadily outweighed by the rude service. When there are three clerks on the floor and I am the one who has say hello, something is wrong. I have never had any offer of help, and service at checkout has always been perfunctory. Is this just me?
I have been considering ordering personalized stationary, but I will not do it here. Better to make a day of it in Chicago or Geneva and go to Paper Boy or Paper Merchant.
Paper Source has nice cards and sideline items, but again, you have to be willing to put up with this snobbery. I for one am sick of it.

It’s a semi-​big paper shop in downtown Naperville that sells loads of cards and mini-​gifts (very similar to a Hallmark store). It’s well lit and the layout is awesome. It’s a large store where you can see everything from any place in the store. They have fantastic selection so if you’re looking for something specific, I’m sure they have it!

Super cute greeting cards, fun random gifts, extremely nice people. This store is definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. It will be my go-​to spot for all my gifting needs, whether I need wrapping paper or a fun add-​on to a care package.

Any-​who, I stopped in here to kill some time. It was the best time killing moment ever! They have tons, I mean TONS of paper products. You could get lost in the creativity. They also custom make cards, wedding, save the dates, party, etc.
The best part though, were the cards, they were hilarious. I was tempted to buy some and just wait for the perfect occasion to go give them out. Next time I’m out there I’m going to do just that. I love unique cards.

This place is AMAZING! You’ll find so many different types of specialty papers, gift items, book making kits, and many more things to fill your creative genius. Each time I go, I’m amazed the entirety of my trip. The staff is super friendly, and always willing to keep you updated on what’s new.

I am a sucker for great cards ~ no matter the occasion. Finding just the right one can often take time. I am happy that this store has opened, it helps with the hunt.
They also have paper stock, wrapping paper, rubber stamping supplies, and during their grand opening, they are offering one hour classes on a variety of crafty tips and techniques. They also have an assortment of items that can be used as favors, but would also make great stocking stuffers at Christmas.
I know I will be spending time in this store looking for that something special that no one else carries.
