Established in 2011.

Since its invention in 2011, QBO has taken on clients of all types — from contractors to doctors, retailers to technology companies — no client is too small or too large. The mixed experience of Gary’s hand-​picked staff has allowed QBO to work with a myriad of clients according to their needs.

It is our goal to assist all business owners in achieving their vision for their business. By taking over the back office functions of your company we can help you achieve maximum growth.

Most recently, we have merged with a like-​minded business, Ideal Business Solutions, Inc. in Oakbrook. The extensive experience and service level the staff at Ideal brings to QBO is momentous in that it will allow us to better serve current and future clients — allowing more business owners to achieve their vision and grow!

Business Owner

Gary Grottke, the founder of QBO, is an entrepreneur who found that after years of working in the corporate world he wanted to start his own business. As a dedicated family man, he sought to have a better work-​life balance where he could still succeed in business and have the ability to enjoy the things he loves.

To begin he started investing in businesses with other former corporate employees like himself. As these businesses began to grow, he found that he willingly took over the back office work — the accounting, bookkeeping, cash management, and taxes. He saw first-​hand how essential completing these tasks efficiently was to the success of the business. Over time, he developed a system that allowed him and his employees to manage the back office of multiple businesses at one time, and thus the QBO concept was developed.
