History

Established in 2002.

Cathy Sirvatka learned HTML in the early days of the World Wide Web while employed at AT&T/Lucent. From there she worked for two Internet solutions firms, both of which collapsed after the Internet bubble and ⁹⁄₁₁ took their toll. From there she struck out on her own becoming a one-​stop-​shop for all client website needs.

With the myriad of changes in Internet technology and methodology, Sirvatka Creative Services (SCS) recognized the need to zero in on specific website processes. The World Wide WEB has now become a fully knitted MESH of technologies and activities.

SCS now turns to teammates who specialize in areas such as Social Media, back-​end programming and ongoing in-​depth Search Engine Optimization (SEO) (beyond basic organic website SEO).

SCS continues to receive education through online training, articles, and workshops to stay up on the latest trends, methods and technologies.

Meet the Business Owner

Cathy S.

Business Owner

Growing up in a family of painters, Cathy was often exposed to thoughts of aesthetics and composition. However, she really took to photography as a child and enjoyed composing with the camera rather than a brush.

She received her B.A. in Photography from Columbia College in Chicago before the explosion of the World Wide Web. Working her way through college, she was employed at AT&T/Lucent in the Graphic Arts Department and was able to take classes in HTML and creating websites.

Cathy Sirvatka enjoys laying out blocks of content and imagery while working out the technical challenges of the layout — a perfect match for the Web.

Cathy has been able to donate her time and web skills for important causes over the years. She was also an adjunct instructor at the local community college for 8 years at the College of DuPage, in the Graphic Arts Technology Department teaching Web publishing courses.
