I have been taking my husband to this location for the past year or so and they impress me more every time. My husband is in a wheelchair and they always go out of their way to accommodate him. The bathroom is not only accessible (which is rare) but is also well appointed and immaculate (even rarer!). I’m a nurse so I’m pretty picky. We always see Vanessa who is as pleasant as she is accomplished. She takes her time and does an excellent haircut! Highly recommend!

My fiancé got a haircut here and the hairstylist did a great job! Expect for when she trimmed some of his beard– that was ok. His beard was not properly trimmed. My fiancé enjoyed the experience and especially the peppermint towel.

Good haircuts and prices but very hard to get into on the weekend.

Very happy with my decision to get my hair cut here. Put it off till the last minute and I was happy to find a good barber who did walk-​ins. The wait was about 30 mins as told to me on the phone and when I checked in. That’s really not a lot for Friday evening in my book.
Cassie cut my hair and took a lot of time to understand what I was looking for in a style since I wanted to try something new. She quickly understood and explained why hair looks the way it does and how we could work to make it look better. It was a great conversation as we swapped stories during the haircut. I’m pretty happy with my new hairstyle and the good lady approves too! The prices for the cut are very reasonable and I’d definitely recommend the place to my friends.
PS: I couldn’t get the manager on the way out. Since I’ve seen him respond to reviews… the wifi didn’t seem to be working — not really a big gripe since I was there for the haircut and that went just fine.

Was looking for a better and more consistent haircut than the common chains that are on every corner.
After two haircuts I feel I have found what I was looking for. More knowledgable and capable barbers. I am more confident getting my hair cut here. Have been very pleased with the last two haircuts. They take notes and use them for future cuts. May be $ 5-​$ 10 more but well worth paying more for a better haircut! Thanks

It was my first time at Upscale Male as I normally get my haircut in the City. After reading the reviews I thought I would check it out and glad I did!
Right from the start you’re made to feel at home as the owner greets you and gets you checked in. The leather chairs, large screen tv, and wifi insure time passes quickly as you relax before your meeting your stylist. I had the pleasure of working with Britt. She is very nice, polite and has some serious skills. Every step of the way she asked questions or asked for feedback to ensure my hair was just as I expected. The hot towel on your neck and hot, scented towels for your face make you forget about anything else!

Great haircut from Dawn, but the management is questionable…
They don’t take appointments, but while I sat there (with 11 other people!) and waited for the «next available» person, two people walked in and said they were there to see so-​and-​so, and then they were taken care of before any of the rest of us… so WTH does «No Appointments» mean???

Best hair cut hands down. If you go in ask for Dawn, she made my unruly hair look amazing.

After several supbar and overpriced haircuts in the city, I started coming here. This is now the only place I am really comfortable getting my haircut when I am home from school. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. Every stylist I’ve had here has done a great job with my hair and always has helpful tips or suggestions. Though it may be somewhat out of the way, getting a haircut here is definitely worth it, as you get much more than what you pay for.

Today was the first time I ever visited upscale male. I am moving up to that area and wanted to find a go-​to place for my hair before I had to settle for the quick places (hair cuttery, supercuts, etc). I had read the reviews on here and was looking forward to a pleasant experience. And my visit was everything I hoped it would be and more. A 30 minute wait didn’t seem excruciating at all with the set up of the shop at all. I tried the executive and was very pleased with the cut and the shampoo. It is a couple of bucks more than a hair cuttery cut, but I left feeling like I had a quality cut and with confidence. I went with the straight edge neck shave to try it out as well and it was well worth the extra buck. In short, I’d highly recommend upscale male. And I’m certain that I have found my new barber.

I’m a long time client of this place since they were located on Eola road. I always get very good service here. The hairdressers know to do your hair exactly how you want. There are professionals and I always enjoyed going.

Just brought my 8,11, and 12 year old nephews in for their first «big boy» hair cuts. Couldn’t be happier with the results! It was the first time these boys didn’t come out with awkward mushroom cuts or spikey colics. They look like diaper little gentleman just in time for the family wedding :) The stylists were super sweet and the gentleman upfront was really informative both over the phone and in person. This will be our go-​to spot for the boys hands down! Thanks so much!

First I must say I’ve driven by this location a 100 times to many. I get my hair cut every where. High end salons and low budget quick cuts. This place rocks! My stylist (Cassie) was great, a pro with great attitude good conversation and listened to me about my cut. Shop is clean and nice. Price is right and well worth the cost. Give them a try you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

This place is great!!! I have been here twice in the last Two months. It’s name truly describes the experience. It’s clean, well run and just a great place to get all your hair needs taken care of. Dawn is the stylist that has taken care of me both times. She is wonderful!!! She listens to what you want and then does it. I can honestly say that these last two hair cuts have been the best I have ever received anywhere. I am now a loyal customer! Guys, this is the place to come to for your hair!

This place is out-​freaking-​standing. I have been a customer here for over two years now. I found this place thanks to a coupon book that was mailed to my house. I figured I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did. I’ve moved since I started going here but still go out of my way to go here.
This isn’t your cheapo SportsClips/​Supercuts/​Great Clips experience. Read the name. «Upscale Male». If you are a man and want to look like a man, this is where you go. Yes, there are no appointments taken. Trust me, when you show up there, you’ll understand. If you think the pricing is too high, feel free to go to wal-​mart and have them hack your hair for $ 6. Just don’t get mad when you get turn down for that job interview or by that hot girl at your office.
When you get in, you’ll have three options. Wow. That simple. Haircut, haircut with shampoo, or haircut with shampoo and hot towel. I highly recommend the shampoo. This isn’t your typical. Spray my hair with water and shampoo and pull my hair as you attempt to towel dry shampooing. This is a «I’m in heaven, give me more, shampooing and massage.»
I have only received one haircut that I was less than satisfied with. Guess what? I went in the next day, told them I wanted something different, they made the changes at no extra cost. That is customer satisfaction. I found my stylist, Britt. She is amazing. But also know that everyone else that has worked on me is amazing as well.
Few suggestions:
–try different stylist and find the one that fits your needs.
–be as specific as possible with what you want BUT be open with suggestion from the stylist. They know what they are doing.

I took a gamble on this place after a botched haircut.
Prices are market rate and the talent (at least the girl who cut my hair) was top notch. I had a lot to fix plus I have three unruly cowlicks. She did a fantastic job and gave me suggestions for a better hairstyle. I’ve been to several high end places in Chicago and this little shop in Naperville is better than most I’ve been to — especially for a first time visit when they don’t now about you!
I would HIGHLY recommend this place to any man looking for something more that a Supercuts haircut but not willing to make an appointment for a pricey barber.

This is a really nice place and a good value. The employees treat you like valued guests and attend to even small details. I especially liked having the hair clippings washed out after the cut.
Note to the owner. Bring in shoeshine, manicure and offer small refreshment or drinks to make the experience perfect.

Today was my first time here at upscale male. I had a great experience! Everything from the modern waiting area with plush leather chairs to the amazing service you receive. My stylist was Dawn who exceeded my expectations with my hair cut. She was very professional as well as friendly. The options you have here are unlike any other place out there that I have ever been too.
If you are looking for a high class modern environment with great service and an amazing haircut you must try this place! I am glad I did and will continue to seen Dawn down the road!

I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut because the previous person I was seeing I felt was getting lazy. So I search for a place that’s semi close but specialized in men’s cuts. That’s when I found Upscale Male!
Now I’ve read reviews about price and how this is not the cheapest. Might I remind you that you get what you pay for. You pay $ 5 for a haircut that’s what your going to get. .. a $ 5 hair cut.
Moving on to my experience:
I called to make an appointment but found they didn’t. Which at first I felt was a little stupid, but then quickly remembered I myself work in retail and understand that when you make appointments you’re setting the expectation that your visit time will be right on time on the dot. Which we all know cannot always happen due to unforeseen events. So because i’m not going to die tomorrow it acceptable that I was going to be a walk in and have to wait.
So no big deal, I came in as a walk in was greeted right away I think by the owner. Nice guy. The prices are laid out behind him. simple quick easy to read didn’t have to read the entire menu or page though women’s cuts. .. because they don’t have any here, which made me instantly happy!
Waited maybe 5 or 10 minutes and was off to get my hair cut. I’ve been here twice and the two ladies that I worked with were great. I really like that it’s not just a shampoo that’s quick and done. They actually massage your scalp and take time. I also LOVE that they use a blade on the back of your neck to get a closer shave! Seems like they hire really talented people.
Overall both times I came out happy /​loved my cut. I’ll definitely be going back. In my opinion it’s well worth the price. I also enjoy that I didn’t hear the «ladies /​hens» clucking away as they get a perm or whatever woman get done with their hair. I didn’t see any kids running around which was another plus ++ just saying. I’m 26, so by all means not an old grumpy man. I just don’t like to be bothered by loud distractions.

The owner of the store greeted me and was very friendly. There were quite a few guys waiting but I was taken in about 10 minutes without an appointment.
My stylist couldn’t have been nicer. She was talented at hair cutting, a great conversationalist and she gave great shampoo ;)
As far as price, this is not the cheapest place, in fact it is almost twice as much as one of the cheap assembly line shops but what you get is worth it. The cut is a scissor cut, precise and neat. You are never asked if you are a #4 or a #6 (what am I, a sheep?). The place is clean, pleasant and professional
Upscale Male is a great value and I recommend it for your next haircut.
