Specialties
The only place in Naples, or Southwest Florida for that matter, where you can sample delicious, traditional, homemade dishes from Romania, Hungary and Northern Italy. Opened in the fall of 2009 by sisters Cori and Daniela.
Romanian delicacies include Mititei (a hand rolled mixture of lamb, beef, and pork), Sarmale (cabbage rolls filled with round beef, pork and rice) and Salata de Vinete (mom’s eggplant spread). If your taste is running more toward the Hungarian, try the Goulash or the Paprikas. If you have a taste for Italian food, try the Arosto tonato, Lasagna Bolognese or the Torteloni ai Funghi. For even more variety, make sure you try Daniela’s full slate of lunch and dinner specials paired with a variety of Romanian beer and wine.
History
Established in 2009.
Daniela’s Restaurant opened in the fall of 2009 by sisters Cori and Daniela Craciun, the restaurant is the life-long dream of Chef Daniela. The siblings are originally from the Transylvania region of Romania which borders Hungary. Daniela eventually moved to Italy and dove into the cuisine of northern part of the country. Meanwhile, Cori moved to Hungary for a period before falling in love with Naples and moving here permanently. Cori told her sister, «If you move to Naples, will open a restaurant.» That was all it took, after almost two decades the sisters reunited.
