Great experience on the fish hunter with Captain Steven.
Our day started with trying to catch bait and then headed out to catch some HUMUNGOUS FISH ! We caught fish so big it took 2 people to get them on the boat !!! Enough said …
It’s all about he total experience on the water and I can say this was he best charter I’ve been on.
I’ve been on many $$ pricey charters where we caught more fish than we did that day and this was by far the best trip and I have had.
This was my sons first time on he gulf waters, and the captain was excellent with teaching and explaining the process of gulf waters fishing and answering every question my son had. Including where to find the best cheese burger in town .
True professionals in the art of sport of fishing !

Went out this morning for a 4 hour trip with Capt Steve. A very able capt, new his fish and where to find them. We caught 20 snapper, some very small grouper, a myriad of other fun fighters. I like these guys very personable, excited when you get something on your line and right there to re-​bait the hook. Fishing is only fun if you are busy and busy we were. Solid boats, spotless and well maintained, if you are looking for a good day on the water give these guys a call.

Third time is a charm. I’ve tried to take my family fishing on the gulf several times with very limited success. Captain Hunter and Drake made our trip a great success. A wide variety of fish and excellent service! I highly recommend them.

Went fishing with captain Steve on 2 occasions when we were in Naples. Had we stayed longer would have booked more trips. He was the best ! He knew exactly where to take us. Had so much fun fishing and best time fighting them. So worth the price as we were constantly catching fish. Snappers, groupers, sharks and kingfish. Absolutely will go back and would recommend them to everyone !!!

Captain Mike gave us a great experience. After speaking wih him the night before, he customized a trip that was exactly what we were looking for. Two adult and two boys.. .11 and 15, fishing wasn’t the primary goal. We saw dolphins up close, bald eagles, found awesome shells on a secluded beach and guess what? The fishing was phenomenal! Mike knew where to go to ensure that we were all successful.. .I only caught one, but the wife and kids made up for it! The sunrise on the way out was spectacular.…don’t miss out on that! We will definitely do this again the next time we’re in Naples! Highly recommended!

On our most recent trip to Naples to visit my in-​laws, we booked a last minute fishing expedition with Capt. Mike Bailey and the Ms. B. Haven. We showed up bright and early with smiles on our faces and open minds. Our party consisted of me, my wife Amy and our two children: James, 11 and Aislin, 12 as well as my wife’s Mother Dorothy.
Captain Mike met us at the dock with a wink and a smile and off we went. We left the dock around 7:00 am and headed out of Gordon Pass and immediately threw out a net to try to catch some bait fish. The net came back empty, so Capt. Mike took us out to a secret spot and got my kids set up with rods and shrimp for to catch us some mackerel to use for bait. We caught a couple of Mackerel, and hooked them up to the heavy deep sea rig, but they both got taken off without my being able to set the hook. While we were waiting to catch another mackerel for bait, something big hit my son’s line. After some tough love coaching from Capt. Mike, my son was working that fish and trying to keep up with it. I jumped in to help him get his rhythm and a minute later we saw what had grabbed that little piece of shrimp… it was a huge Tarpon! It jumped out of the water and everyone on the boat said «Oh my Gosh!». Captain Mike said «Did you get that on film?!?»
Now that we had an understanding of what was at the other end of that line, things got serious. We took turns working the rod and reel, with my son and daughter both taking shifts as well as myself. We had the fish of a lifetime on a small rod, 45lb test line and a tiny hook. Captain Mike estimated the size of the fish at around 150 lbs. It was amazing to see that fish jump out of the water!
Capt. Mike did an amazing job of maneuvering the boat to throw the tarpon off its game and avoid the many underwater structures in the area that the fish could have jumped into and ended our game prematurely. He explained that this was the first tarpon of the season, and that the yearly migration was led by big fish. He was extremely knowledgeable about the fish as well as the area we were fishing in, not to mention the fact that he was just an all-​around great guy and was genuinely excited to see my son hook a fish like that. He seemed to know what that fish was going to do, and was able react quickly and in most cases be proactive and take the fish out of its comfort zone.
We had that fish on the line for about 90 minutes, and I was starting to think it was losing some steam. At the same time, I was wondering if we were ever going to be able to get that fish to the boat with that small rod and reel. Shortly after that, the fish took off like it was shot out of a cannon; it took about 150 ft. of line off of our reel in about 5 seconds. Capt. Mike said «That fish is running for its life, there is a shark chasing it!» Sure enough, the tarpon jumped up and danced across the water like it had all the energy in the world. It shook its head and zigzagged in mid-​air and then the line went slack. The good news was that the tarpon had evaded the shark; the bad news was that it had also evaded us.
We were so excited about the experience of having that fish on the line that we never once felt like the trip was anything but a huge success. My son had the experience of a lifetime and we all got to share it with him. It doesn’t get any better than that! Through it all, Capt. Mike was fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to take a fishing charter in or around Naples. He was great with my kids, teaching them how to fish as well as teaching them about the fish and local wildlife. He obviously knows the water around Naples like the back of his hand, and will do his very best to make sure you have a memorable experience.
Fish with Capt. Mike… you won’t regret it! As for me and my family, we’re hooked. We will definitely be fishing on the Ms. B. Haven the next time we are in Naples, for sure.

Mike and Miss B Haven are the real deal. Mike took my Wife, Mom, Dad and Myself on a very memorable fishing trip. Not only does he know what he’s doing but he loves what he does. He also has a great personality and kept us laughing the whole time. We caught some Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, 2 Sharks, and a 140pound Goliath Grouper. Mike coached all of us through each catch, and gave us tips to become better anglers. We took home some of the keepers and had a wonderful dinner that evening. I HIGHLY recommend Mike and Miss B Haven to anyone in Naples.

Exceeded my very high expectations. Hunter, Mike and the entire Ms. B. Haven organization are first class and extremely dedicated to delivering a great experience. We took our 3 kids out for a day of fishing and fun in the gulf after much research on charter services and were not disappointed. The fishing was great, experience for all ages (from my wife and I to our kids 13, 10 and 6 yrs of ages). Hunter was fantastic and very knowledgeable AND… we all caught some awesome fish including shark and 400+ lb goliath grouper!!! Would recommend and will be a return customer for sure. Great job!

All the great reviews on Mike Bailey are justified — this was the highlight of our trip in Naples. Had a great day (May 9, 2013) and caught a lot of different species of fish, including a couple of sharks that we let go. Mike is a true local and knows where the fish are — he even makes the trip fun and interesting from the beginning — dolphins followed the boat and played in the wake, splashing up in the air! Then, when we were headed back to the dock, 2 eagles recognized him and came to try and catch a fish he had saved for them. Took our catch to The Dock restaurant and they cooked it up with sides and did a terrific job — delicious, and had enough for a big lunch the next day. Mike is great and has a fun personality — we truly enjoyed our day on Ms B Haven on the beautiful blue water of Naples — highly recommended!

I recently went out with Captain Hunter and had the most amazing experience. I had found him on tripadvisor, and all of the reviews were spot on. He really is the best of the best. He took us out to a spot that was great for fishing. We caught a tiger and nurse shark as well as an 80 lb grouper!
I expected to have a nice day of relaxing fishing, but didn’t expect all the excitement that the day brought. It really was a once in a lifetime experience. We also saw dolphins and a bald eagle.
Hunter was extremely professional and personable. You have to do this in Naples! I will definitely be back. Cant say enough about this charter!

Great fishing trip!

There is a reason that Capt. Mike Bailey has been successful as a fishing guide for 30 years. This is the man’s passion, not merely a means of earning a livelihood. Capt. Mike will find fish for you to catch. He will also show you how to catch them, guiding even a novice angler along with tips and techniques learned over a lifetime of fishing Naples waters.
Charter fishing is not inexpensive, and because of this, you should fully research potential charter outfits carefully. With few exceptions, Capt. Mike Bailey and Ms. B. Haven consistently earn 5 stars for providing thoroughly enjoyable fishing trips on a beautiful, comfortable custom made and clean-​as-​a-​whistle fishing boat. Believe the reviews, he is that good, and he honestly sets out to provide a trip to remember.
The first time I went out with him was a solo ½ day charter in November 2012. Just me and Capt. Mike. I didn’t catch a trophy fish, but we caught a lot of fish, and saw a lot of wildlife. We had so many dolphins following the boat that I wondered how he paid them! I also like nature photography, and came back with several hundred nice shots.
The second charter was a full day charter in March 2013, and my wife came along for the day. She is not an angler and did not fish. She DID, however, photograph the entire trip — me fighting and landing a 36 inch, 35 lb Black Drum (see pics above), a wonderful assortment of beautiful birds, including bald eagles that Capt. Mike whistles for, then throws a fish that the eagle swoops in on and cleanly snatches from the water, a raccoon swimming, yes swimming from one island to another. You get the picture here.
It was an extraordinary day. Capt. Mike made sure I had plenty of time to fish and catch some great specimens (all released), and also made more than enough time for playing with the dolphins, stopping for a walk on a deserted beach and just enjoying and viewing the beauty all around us.

Believe me when I tell you that I am not much of a fisherman. So, when my Boyfriend’s mother booked this excursion, I was hesitant to join the fun. But, let me tell you this was THE BEST part of our trip.
First and foremost, Captain Mike is amazing! Not only did he teach me how to fish… I caught the MOST edible fish on the boat… he also pointed out all the wildlife in the area, knew the history of almost every boat in the bay and even gave us an architectural tour of the neighborhood.
The wildlife knows his boat, too. When we reached the edge of the canal, a pod of dolphins followed his boat and played in the wake. A little further along we saw two bald eagles in search of their morning breakfast. All this before we even caught one fish!
It was a windy day, so we stayed in the bay area. Capt. Mike knew where the good fishing was, even though the water was choppy and muddy. He kept moving us around the bay to find the best catch, using the sun and water clarity as his guide. He is truly knowledgeable!
By the end of the day, we had all caught multiple fish… some we would eat and some we will tell stories about. Capt. Mike took us back to the dock and cleaned it all up for us. Since it was lunch time, we went directly home and had FRESH grilled fish and veggies. It was the most amazing fish I’ve ever had!
We will definitely go back when we visit next year! I hope you get the chance to go as well!

Captain Mike and the Ms. B Haven are the real deal. Having gone on many fishing charters around the world– this was by far the most hands on enjoyable experience yet. I took my 88 year old grandfather. The first spot Capt. Mike dropped an anchor– threw a generous cast, handed the rod to Grampa who promptly reeled in a good sized trout. Capt. Mike gave us tips that we had never heard after years of fishing– and was very attentive to the needs of Grandpa. It was relaxing and beautiful– as we cruised to various spots. We were amazed at the variety and volume of fish we caught. Having fished with various outfits out of Naples– this was by far the best. Well worth the cost for an authentic, fruitful, and personalized experience.
