I really need to take away stars. …
I got the «Deluxe“4 wheel alignment plan. I really fell in love with the fact I can shop while Sears works change my oil, rotate balance etc… this was a huge mistake… They over tightened my lug nuts so They needed to be replaced. Then as that they had my wheels off… They said the inner and outer Rods needed to be replace. I will crash on the highway. So avoid it and avoid high speed. I will lose control of steering and crash! It will be 500 $ +… The customer next to me had the same problem. They had advertisements for this all over. As if they are running a big campaign on this. All lies. I took my maxima to Nissan. They said absolutely nothing wrong with my car. Sears tried to rip me off.

Jim DePeri at Sears Auto Center in Naples, Florida goes a long way to help this service center maintain a one star rating! His combative approach to customers along with his CAN’T do attitude has me seeking out the competition. After waiting more than 30 minutes for someone to return from lunch, I had the misfortune of being in the cue for what turned out to be a lecture from Mr DePeri! With a receipt in hand from another Sears Auto Center with the same issue after a $ 400.00 repair that is under warranty the result of the conversation was that as far as he was concerned, Sears had fulfilled their contract and I would have to pay another 79.95 a diagnostic fee. I attempted to push back with my insistence that the other Sears service center indicated that it IS under warranty for the diagnostic charge minimally and that it would be determined afterward whether or not I would be charged for the resolution. All this to no avail but not withstanding a verbal beat down by DePeri and the experience of having my receipt shoved back at me!
I don’t usually let my ire get me to the point where I actually sit down to take the time to do this. And time constraints preclude my desire to further express frustration over the treatment that I received by DePeri. The upshot to this disappointing experience with Sears is that upon returning to the service center in Ft Lauderdale was happy to honor the warranty of the diagnostic charge and found that the coil pack that they installed in my Jeep Cherokee turned out to be defective and there was no charge at all for the fix. This has been considerably taxing with respect to time lost but exacerbated by the time and frustration by my experience at Sears on 9^th Street in Naples. You can bet that this would have been more of a lengthly review if I got stuck on Alligator Alley on my way to Ft Lauderdale!

«Steer» clear of this place. I encountered a dreadful attitude on manager Albert, although he finally did the right thing after much arm twisting. It was chaos when i was there with multiple dissatisfied customers.
After relying on Sears Auto in other cities for many years, this has to be the worst Sears Auto in America. I was so fired up, I wrote a letter to the CEO.
I repeat, DO NOT expect this place to be like other Sears Auto centers you may be accustomed to.

On a recent day trip to Naples from Miami my check tire pressure light turned on. It had been a day or so and I noticed Sears auto center while shopping at the mall. I decided to get it checked before my trip down. Good thing I did! An employee named Albert (shop manager I believe) assisted me, & one of my tires was practically filled double the recommendation! He took his time to show me how to check the pressure & test drove it to ensure it was all good! Excellent service & now I have a car shop I can trust whenever I’m in the area.

WOW WHAT HORRIBLE SERVICE! I needed a last minute oil change before a long road trip, so I went to Sears Automotive since I could just drive in and get it done within an hour. But immediately Erik (shop manager) tried to tell me my alignment was off. Well this was impossible as all 4 tires were only 5 months old and I had just had a full servicing at the dealership recently. So I refused the $ 89 service.
So then I showed them my $ 19 oil change coupon (which showed a regular price of $ 29 — the same as their oil change package which includes a tire rotation, air filter, and more) but he claimed the $ 19 was for ONLY an oil change (so that made no sense either… why is it valued at the regular price of the package deal)?? But I went ahead and got the oil change done. An hour later I left with my car and on the drive home the brakes started making a ton of screeching sounds going forward and in reverse. The shop refused to look at it or accept that they might have done something (even by accident) without me paying for them to check. They were very very snotty about the whole thing and when I mentioned that I had someone else look at the alignment and they confirmed that it was fine and the tires had no wear, Erik accused the other shop as not knowing what they were doing.
AVOID SEARS AUTOMOTIVE AT ALL COSTS!!! OR IT WILL END UP COSTING MORE IN THE LONG RUN! TRUST ME. And this is not just for this location… I’ve had similar problems (though not so rude, like the «service» from Erik) at one of their Austin, TX locations as well.

Went in to the store to fix a tire that had a nail. I had called AAA and they changed the tire and told me that the tire was still good and that I just needed it to be patched and no damage. When I went to Sears I was told that both tires were bad and that I had driven on a flat tire and it was beyond repair. I bought both tires and asked to keep the tire that was beyond repair and took it to Mercedes Benz for a second opinion. Guess what, tire was fine and I was the victim of a bait and switch upsell. Shop manager Erik is rude and does not know how to speak to customers.

Battery schmattery
I came at 10:00 to get in line. I was quickly acknowledged only 1 person in line. I had a short wait about 10 minutes. It was still busy I had a 2 year old sears gold battery in my car that only would charge to 5 volts. They checked the battery installed a replacement then checked the charging system. This took as estimated an hour. Mike and Ryan were helpful with their hints and suggestions on adding life to a seasonal use batteries.
