Neuromuscular bodywork alleviates trigger points, which are areas of hyper-irritable muscle fiber stuck in contraction. Fibers «locked short» due to occupational/recreational repetitive motion, over-exertion, strain from sudden movement or unhealthy postural habits, results in trapped metabolic waste.
Accumulating waste in the contractile unit of a muscle fiber prevents blood flow and develops into the dreaded «pain-spasm-pain» cycle. Range-of-motion is restricted, setting the stage for chronic conditions.
Using a carefully gauged system of hand applications, neuromuscular therapy rids the muscle of waste. Combined with specific gentle stretching, this therapy promotes blood flow and restores the muscle to a normalized state.
Ideal for upper back and neck release, rotator cuff issues; foot, hand and arm pain; back, hip and leg problems. TMJD, injuries and chronic conditions are often greatly helped and even eliminated. Many types of headaches are relieved.
History
Established in 2005.
After attending «The School of Healing Arts» in San Diego, Ca. in 1991, I knew I had found my true profession. Although I wasn’t able to jump headlong into a full time practice, I felt one day the time would come.
During that waiting period, I earned a living by such occupations as truck driving, asphalt and concrete laboring (a dog’s life), and lastly as a cleanroom operator in the semiconductor industry.
When my career at Texas Instruments ended in 2002 with the decline of the industry, I continued my education in the massage field in Nashua, NH at «NCC». I eventually taught in a massage therapy program at The Salter School in Malden, Ma., and after two years of teaching took a leap and committed myself to building my own successful full time practice.
Continuing education never ends in my field. In the last year I’ve become a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist. In 2010 I’ll be certified in advanced Myofascial Mobilization techniques and Kinesio Taping.

Business Owner
No profession could be greater for me than to be able to help people while earning a living. To watch my Amherst and Nashua clinics thrive, and to witness the responses of clients who have received benefit from my work, quite simply, makes my day.
I first entered the massage field in 1991 with «The School of Healing Arts» in San Diego. Once when I looked back at my life and the different occupations I’ve had since then, I wondered what took me so long to make my way to where I am now with my business. The answer from within said «everything has it’s time». I needed to gather experience in other areas of life… mentally, physically, and spiritually, because being a bodyworker is about more than tissue manipulation.
I’ve learned that the body and mind are a unit and to understand how our psychology extends to our physicality.
