Wisdom teeth: In most cases, the removal of wisdom teeth is performed under local anesthesia, laughing gas (nitrous oxide/​oxygen analgesia) or general anesthesia. These options, as well as the surgical risks (i.e., sensory nerve damage, sinus complications), will be discussed with you before the procedure is performed. Once the teeth are removed, you will rest under our supervision in the office until you are ready to be taken home.

Dental implants: Using the most recent advances in dental implant technology, Dr. Greene & Dr. Torio is able to place single stage implants. These implants do not require a second procedure to uncover them, but do require a minimum of six weeks of healing time before artificial teeth are placed. There are even situations where the implants can be placed at the same time as a tooth extraction — further minimizing the number of surgical procedures.

Office based anesthesia: As a result of this extensive training, these surgeons are well-​prepared to identify, diagnose, and assess the source of pain and anxiety within the scope of their discipline, and to appropriately administer local anesthesia, all forms of sedation, and general anesthesia.

History

Established in 1986.

The origins of our practice date back to 1986, with Dr. David Greene’s vision for an oral surgery center that would provide the highest quality of care with compassion and in an environment of open-​communication and trust. It was behind this idea that our first home opened in that year at 76 Northeast Boulevard in Nashua.

As is often the case, time passed in the blink-​of-​an-​eye and by 1998, we had outgrown our starting space. With excitement and hard work, we designed and completed our current state-​of-​the-​art office at 39 Simon Street, which opened in 2000. The new facility has provided us not only with more comfort and flexibility, but also with the ability to grow further and to implement new projects and current technologies.

Dr. David J. Greene–

has been practicing oral surgery in the Nashua area since 1986 and placing dental implants since 1984.

Dr. Jose Torio–

is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is an active member of the hospital staff at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He is past President of the Greater Nashua Dental Society. His local professional affiliations include membership in the New Hampshire Dental Society, the New Hampshire Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Greater Nashua Dental Society.

Dr. Rachel Madden–

completed her residency as Chief Resident and enjoyed all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery such as dentoveolar, orthognathics, and cleft lip and palate repair. In particular, Dr. Madden enjoys hard tissue pathology such as cysts and tumors. She is board-​eligible and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
