Lilac Blossom Restaurant

I am new to the area and was told that this is the «best» Chinese restaurant around. Decided to try a take-​out order which included a steamed shrimp and vegetable dish. Big mistake. The first few pieces of shrimp tasted a bit off. The final piece I ate was definitely bad and I had to spit it out. Rotten shrimp. Nasty. Several hours later I was awoken from sleep, violently ill. Called the next day to get a refund on my meal. The person on the phone told me I had to bring the tainted food back into the restaurant to get my money back. I couldn’t imagine digging it out of the hot trash can, out by the garage, to haul it back into the restaurant. I will never eat there again. First and last time.

We tried first time for Mother’s day lunch with reservation. Place was packed which is good sign. Though it seemed faster than a fast food place. Waiter was rude and gruff. Said kitchen is very busy today so better order fast if we want to be served.
All appetizers entrees came together at once except one which never showed up and plates were literally falling off the table.
This is now a thriving $$ business not an intimate restaurant. They want to get you in and out, understandable for a special day rush but not at all enjoyable for the clients.
Food itself was just so so, totally Americanized version. Nothing was extraordinary, most of it went home. I would say this is our last visit.

The restaurant has beautiful views for the nashua spitbrook rd location. I would suggest anything from off the menu especially the tofu generals taos. I love the inner atmosphere and vibes. The staff were great and very attentive. We also ordered crab ragoons and drinks. The selection of drinks were wide and quite tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We ordered the sesame chicken and this is what we got. Repulsive! We were so disgusted as it very clearly does not look anything like chicken. Our server apologized for the chicken being «undercooked» and took it off the bill. First, if it was undercooked, they should’ve been far more concerned about possibly making a customer sick than simply saying «sorry about that» and second, there was clearly much more wrong with the chicken than it being undercooked. 50 shades of chicken is not what I wanted for dinner and we will not be back!

Orderd Neptune’s harvest and it was supposed to contain lobster shrimp and scallops. No lobster at all… just scallops and shrimp in the container. Very disappointed.

Sesame fried steak is like a cube steak that has been battered. My husband liked it a lot. I ordered a spicy chicken dish with loads of veggies. Fried rice had huge chunks of chicken. Loved how our food came with a huge slice of honeydew melon and when the check came we were brought delicious orange wedges with fortune cookies… then a warm wet nap to clean hands. Jasmine was a great server. Each order is enough for 2 people.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.
Hands down the BEST Mai tai I have ever had. I don’t even care that they use cheap liquor for them, they are tasty.
All of the appetizers are good sized and cheap.
The Entrees are GENEROUS portions and really reasonable prices.
All in all, a great place for lunch or dinner!

Whether you are at their north or south Nashua location the food is excellent. My favorite Chinese resturant in NH. The staff is friendly and you don’t have to wait long for your food which is cooked to order. Nice atmosphere.

Food was great. For a «fancy» place, service was horrible. It appears they are trying to be a high end dining place but it’s not quite working for them.
If you want the food, order take out and skip the awful service.
They say there’s a $ 12 minimum purchase per person after 4…
5 stars for food. 1 for service.

The food was delicious. I’d return again. It was a little pretentious for a Chinese food place but it was a nice experience! Clean. Nice staff.

Probably some of the best chinese I’ve had. They don’t deliver but it’s worth it. Their shrimp and general tso’s chicken are very good.

At first, I was very skeptical when a local person recommended Chinese food to eat a Nashua, NH.
But behold, it was one of the best Chinese food or just food I have ever eaten at a restaurant. This is a review for earlier this year btw when I was in Nashua for a business trip. The reason I am writing the review today is because I CANNOT forget their food and AM craving it so much! I am really considering flying to Nashua just to eat at Lilac once more… they should consider shipping… I am serious… I really might pay for it to be frozen and shipped to me.
Anyways, the dish I ordered was Dragon and Phoenix.
The shrimp was huge, chewy, juicy, amazing. With the perfect sauce that was tangy. General Tso chicken… who knew could be so great? It has the perfect crisp but not oily and the sauce doesn’t make it soggy but somehow embraces the chicken within perfectly. I have been spoiled and can no longer eat General Tso chicken at takeout places.
It was a tad pricy but totally worth it. Next time I’m ordering 2 dishes of Dragon and Phoenix and bringing one home with me. Maybe 4…

Alway amazing food, amazing drinks and amazing service. We are going to miss this restaurant because we are moving.
Great place for work functions, small gatherings/​get togethers and especially celebrating a anniversary/​special moments

Mediocre food and very greasy, 4 people in dining room and they sent a manager to tell my well dressed husband to not wear a hat. Not even a fancy place! Waiters standing in all areas just watching you eat as they await the next table to be sat… Very uncomfortable!

Great Chinese food! I have been here many many times and never had a bad experience. The food typically always comes out quicker than you think and you can munch on the complimentary won tons with duck sauce while you wait.
The décor is very nice and there is plenty of seating. During the weekend, it may be hard to find a seat at the bar but you shouldn’t have a problem getting a table in the dining area. The service has been great every time I have been there.
For dinner meals, I would recommend the General Tso’s Chicken and Beef with Broccoli. Also, you can never go wrong with the Pu Pu Platter — all items included are very good. The Chicken Teriyaki is great as well as the rice.
Lilac Blossom is definitely a must try!

Best Chinese food in the area. The south Nashua location is better than the north nashua one. The southern one feels bigger and more up to date and has a bigger bar. Neither one will disappoint.
Always clean and the staff is always friendly. Great for groups and they have reasonably priced lunch dishes.
To go Chinese is great too!

Pains me to say this but my favorite Chinese food has not been I’m NYC but New Hampshire! In two words: Lo Mein. Great noodles and very nice service. Have dined in and ordered take out and loved both experiences. Looking forward to returning.

On 10/​30/​2014, we ordered takeout — Triple Delight and Moo Shi Chicken. It definitely tasted better than last time — it was less salty. We still wish that the Triple Delight had vegetables too.
On 10/​01/​2014, my parents and I heard good things about this restaurant and finally got to see what the rave was all about. It’s nice to have a somewhat authentic Chinese restaurant nearby. The restaurant is clean, neat, and tidy with spacious seating. It would make a great place for a banquet or company function. The service was outstanding. We ordered Spring Rolls, Triple Delight lunch special, Lo Mein with Chicken, and Moo Shi Chicken. I loved how the spring rolls were crispy on the outside and stuffed with shredded vegetables. We were surprised that the Triple Delight was thinly sliced pieces of tender meat stir fried together. We expected some mixed vegetables — carrots, snow peas, broccoli. The lunch special is a good deal — it came with a choice of soup and choice of rice. I liked how the egg drop soup came with fried wonton strips and sweet and sour sauce. The moo shi chicken was great portion size, perfect for four pancakes. Overall, the food was full of flavor but on the salty side.
We have yet to return and try their mixed drinks, Sizzling Seafood Delight, Sizzling Chicken Pot, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Lemon Chicken :)

Lilac Blossom is one of my favorite places to go for Chinese.
You know that feeling you get after most Chinese food, bloated, a bit ill, tired? I never get that here.
My husband started taking me here for «date night» without the kids. We would sit at the bar and order a dish or two and just relax. It was fun. Then we made a big mistake… we brought the kids. Now we can’t get out of the house without them if this is where we are going. They love it as much as we do.
The best dish I feel they have is the Mongolian Beef and we always order the garlic broccoli to go along with it. I swear it is the most tender beef in a dish we have ever had.
Wait staff is friendly and quick. The timing of everything just seems perfect here. Drinks to appetizers to dinner. all at the right times.
We have had Mother’s Day here in the past and had a great time. It is Chinese, the prices are about the same as everywhere else so why not eat it in a beautiful restaurant? Right up the street from the Pheasant Lane Mall, it is a bit of a hidden jewel for those of us who know where it is.
Eat in or take out, well worth it!
