This place was horrible. SIMON the owner is a psycho he got into an argument over the food and we left.

Simply put… DON’T. I went here for a Friday night dinner with my family last summer, it took 30 minutes to get drinks, 45 minutes to order food and another 35 minutes for the food to come out. The food was OK at best and the service was deplorable. I wanted to give this place 0 stars but I couldn’t figure out how,

Mezza was an interesting experience. There was only one waitress working(actually it seemed as though she was the only staff working in the entire restaurant), and very few tables when we arrived. We were told to seat ourselves and waited about 30 minutes before she came to take our drink order. While waiting for the waitress, we had time to read over the menu, which contained a description of the meaning of the word«Mezza» and how to dine here. «The idea of mezza as a pretext is unique to the Mediterranean, and especially to the ancient eastern Mediterranean, in countries such as Lebanon, Greece, Armenia, Turkey and others. The most important aspect of mezza is that it is a cuisine meant not to sate but to tease. The main reason for being around the mezza table is to talk, to share thoughts with a few friends over a glass or two of wine and something to eat. Eating this way is a kind of game, and a civiled one at that. If you can manage to keep your friends at the mezza table for an hour, drinking, nibbling, and talking, then you have mastered the game.» Aha, keep your friends at the table for an hour…now the leisurely paced service made sense! She wasn’t slacking on the job, really she was giving us the full experience as it was intended. There were four of us and we ordered probably 7 or 8 items to share. All of it was delicious! If you like hummus, falafel, grape leaves at all, then you will enjoy the food here. Lots of pita bread is served for dipping. You MUST order the Muhummara. The food was excellent, the waitress was interesting, but one warning: do not go to Mezza if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. Make plans to try it out when you have 2 or 3 hours free, because that is how long you will find yourself sitting there eating, talking, and drinking.
