I had the opportunity to work with the contractors at PM MacKay through Home Depot in Nashua when I had to do some work on my kitchen. They are the contractors who work with Home Depot to do work on kitchens, bathrooms, etc. My kitchen needed new cabinets, new counters and possibly other work. I worked with Dana who was very nice. He explained everything he was doing and what it would entail. One of their contractors came to an open house at Home Depot and answered questions I had about the project. In the end I didn’t work with them. The biggest problem for me was the cost of the kitchen demo and installation. For what I wanted it was very high. It was explained to me that they probably have a set price for aspects of the project to make sure they are consistant with all Home Depot customers. For example, I was charged more than $ 150 per appliance to unhook and re-hook them for the install. I was not replacing or adding any appliances. They were all going in the same spot they had originally been in. Another example, it would have cost me about $ 200 for them to remove cardboard boxes. I also had one other problem in that my measurements were not correctly sent to Home Depot. I had rough measurements to use to make decisions, but it did slow us down to have to get another confirmation on the design from PM MacKay. I gave them three stars because, while they didn’t do anything that really upset me, the cost was high and a deal breaker for me. They were honest and clear about what they would be doing and what they needed from me.

Fast, efficient, affordable. My recent call to PM was full of dread as I had a mysterious leak from the shower. While it was not an emergency, PM Plumbing was able to send out a plumber, Paddy, that afternoon. He was quick and smart– finding where the leak was coming from within about 15 minutes. Thankfully it was something that only required some adjustment and sealing. It’s not easy to find or trust contractors so I’m happy to recommend and continue to use PM for my plumbing.
