I was having a drainage(no drainage in the entire house, which means no showers, no toilets, no washing dishes, etc.) problem from Sunday to Wednesday. I tried to DIY it and tried a few things over the few days, but it didn’t work. Wednesday was Christmas Eve, and I had low expectations of finding anyone open or available, but when I looked up Roto Rooter online their website clearly stated that they were open 24⁄7 «on Christmas Eve.» I took that to mean, yes, they know it’s Christmas eve, and they mean it when they say they are open. I was prepared to pay premium pricing to get this problem solved. I used their online appointment scheduler, and even now, three days later, not only have I not had an appointment, I haven’t received any calls or emails at all from them. I described the problem in detail through the scheduler and clearly no one there was concerned that I had a home with no toilets. I called another plumber yesterday who came out within 90 minutes and solved the whole problem. I’ll never call Roto-Rooter again.

PRICEY !!! Yes, I had a service call on a Sunday. Yes, I expect to pay more for a Sunday. I do NOT expect to pay $ 245PERHOUR(and it took 2HOURS) only to be told that we’d have to call someone else(because it was beyond the scope of their abilities). It seems to me that could have been determined a little faster, but they probably charge portal to portal, so you’re paying the $ 250 on travel time too. I will not make the mistake of EVER calling them again.
