It has been a long time since my husband and I have had both bad food and bad service. Came to have dinner on a Friday night during Lent. Many empty tables. That should have told us something right there. I had the fantail shrimp which were just regular shrimp fried in a heavy batter. Not even a remote attempt to fantail them. Got the Mac and cheese as a substitute for the Cole slaw. They charged an extra $ 3.00 for a tiny bowl of Kraft Mac and Cheese. Ridiculous! Asked for lemon for both of us and got 2 measly slices. Drinks were not refilled. Used to enjoy this place but it is horrible now.

The food here is great. I would have loved to give a 5 star but lately the lobsters prices have skyrocketed in price. I love the lobster from here but I refuse to pay $ 50 one day for the twin lobster when on a different day it could be $ 27.

Idk why theres bad reviews, this place was good. First time going there and the waitress was nice. Food was good also. Was not«microwaved» like someone said and service was not slow at all.

Had dinner there recently and the restaurant was empty. I know why… there was absolutely no flavor in the food. Bay scallops were wet, obviously frozen. $ 60 for 2 adults and a child was just ridiculous given the food was not good.

Good enough seafood. Had haddock… it was fresh. Can’t go wrong with fried everything, can you? If I had an old white grandmother, I’d take her here… a very friendly older female wait staff, complete with two nun in habits dining at the next table… you get the picture…20% discount if you’re getting tires installed at TownFair at the same time…

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is the mushroom appetizers & our amazing, sweet waitress! Otherwise huge disappointment! The food seems microwaved rather than deep fried! My daughter was so looking forward to clam strips but they were disgusting! My husband also got the clams trips so he too was disappointed & I got the fisherman a platter & the only edible thing in it was a piece of haddock the size of a quarter!!! I’m shocked that after all these bad reviews the company doesn’t change the way they do things?!

The quality of the food here always seems to be over shadowed by the horrible service. Empty drink glasses abound. Tonight the food was not as hot as typical and the baked potatoes were hard and under cooked. Overall the food was average at best and the service just destroyed any hope of redemption.

It used to be a nice place to eat with regards to the food. The lobster pie was the worse ever, and the margarita was terrible. The only plus side was the quick service. This is the worse Weathervane I’ve been to. Never again.

If I could give this 0 stars I would in a heartbeat! Hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had! My boyfriend and I went there tonight after talking about how neither of us have been in years. We get there and a manager greeted us 5 minutes after we were sat. She got our drink and appetizers, because our server was busy. I ordered a water and a bowl of fish chowder and my boyfriend ordered a diet coke(he is a type one diabetic). Our server then arrived at our table(TENMINUTESLATER) with a REGULAR coke for my boyfriend and a cold bowl of CLAM chowder. Once I got my corrected fish chowder, I couldn’t even get through it because it was the worst chowder ever. At that point I would’ve rather had the lukewarm clam chowder. We were never given silverware or side plates, halfway through our meals we were sick of using our hands so I grabbed some off of another table. Finally, our meals came I got a lobster roll with fries and my boyfriend got the half and half combo meal with whole clams and haddock and fries. The lobster was so dry and had extremely little mayo, worst lobster roll I have ever had and that’s a hard thing to be. The fries were cold and white like they just came out of a freezer! The haddock and clams weren’t bad, probably the best thing about the meal besides the water that I ordered. We had very little attention to our server. Every time she would come over and we would ask for something, she would disappear for 10 minutes and then finally return with what we wanted when it was just too late. Will we return? Never in a million years. I don’t understand how the restaurant is still in business. They claim they have fresh seafood… By the taste of it it’s either frozen or microwaved both of which are disgusting! It used to be so delicious and let me tell you, TIMEDIDNOTDOTHEMWELL. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, ignore any good review there may be! Should of went to Chili’s!!!

Not so wonderful after all. They claim to shuck the«Lazy Man’s Lobster» for you right out of the shell. Wrong. It was microwaved! It was so tough and for $ 44 certainly wasn’t worth it! And then no steamers… OK, that’s fine, but they had the fried clams. Does that mean that the fried clams are not fresh? Why no steamers but fried clams. Can someone explain. And also no corn. I am VERY disappointed, and I will not return to this establishment.

Service was okay. I had the broiled Salmon. It didn’t really have much flavor at all, but the portions were good! My wife had stuffed shrimp and rice pilaf, she said the rice was under cooked and a little crunchy. It wasn’t the worst place I’ve been but the food wasn’t great. At the same time it wasn’t horrible either.

Pretty Good Fisherman’s platter. Fried Haddock was cooked perfectly. It came with tons of baby scallops and shrimp. I would have liked a couple more fried clams, but really it was decent. Its called the Admirals platter and is more than most people could finish. In fact my wife and I split it along with a lobster roll and we took half of it home. The lobster roll had plenty of lobster but could have used some mayonnaise. They have a small selection of draft beer and was reasonably priced. Its clean and the seating allows for good privacy however I prefer a more open concept. Its not a place you would go to for the atmosphere.

My husband, daughter and I stopped by today for dinner. The restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday night. We ordered te onion rings as an app and dinners. Everything came out together and I had to ask the waitress twice for a fork. She only came back when we could catch her eye for a drink refill and which time we asked for a box. She dropped off the box and bill and again we didn’t see her again until we flagged her down. The food was ok at best but my daughter got sick before we left. Overall service is lacking and food is just ok. Would not go back

Not great, not bad. Had a haddock sandwich with fries. Fixed the craving for a tuna melt. Reasonably priced, convenient location.

Haven’t been to the Weathervane in about 20 years(the last time was at the Kittery, ME, location) so when my friend suggested we meet here for lunch at the Nashua one, I was up for it. She told me the fish chowder was to die for. I wish I had a nickel for every time the waitress came over to ask if we were ready, called us honey, asked if we wanted to hear the specials, wanted to order the lobster at $ 22, and came over to pick up the cash/bill when the meal ended. My bet is that I would have had close to $ 5. Was getting a little much, just way over the top. The meal: My friend ordered fried clam strips(which came with fries) and a fish chowder(and a fish chowder to go), and I ordered the fish chowder on her recommendation and also had a small Caesar salad. She liked the clams but didn’t touch the fries. They could have used another minute or three in the deep fryer, IMO. I finished 1⁄10 of the soup(thank goodness I only ordered a cup) and I seriously can’t remember ever tasting such a large concentration of salt. Want some chowder with that salt? Um. No. Goes to show you how people have different palates, as my friend LOVED hers. My mouth hasn’t left the spigot. After the waitress came by for the 10th time, she asked if I wanted to bring home the rest of my soup. Told her I couldn’t even eat it, as it was way too salty. To their credit, the manager didn’t charge me. Will I return? No. Lots of other places in Nashua to try. At least my company was good.

I went this evening wanting the clambake which consisted of a single lobster with steamers Chowder and fries 25+ dollars. so I ordered it and asked to substitute the fries and chowder for a handfull of onion rings. The server promptly replies the rings will be extra; I said you’ve got to be kidding. With that I change my order to an appetizer and a salad. Later the manager came by and asked me hardening was and I told her it was sad that I could not get what I wanted just because they would not substitute anything. They wanted to sell me a whole side order of onion rings of which I could not eat. The appetizer and salad I had was fun but very disappointed that pain customer can’t get what they want is sad. I will never go back

This is my favorite restaurant in Nashua. Instant, raging food boner. Really good, solid New England style seafood. Fried clams. Steamers. Scallops = all awesome. The Fish & Chips(haddock) is wicked good. And speaking of wicked, I try to go on Tuesdays for the«Wicked Cheap Twins» special. 2 steamed lobsters with fries and slaw for like $ 15.99. Boioing
