Fried chicken, okra and mashed potatoes with gravy. 5bucks. Thursday’s before noon, they sell out in a hurry. Best in town. p. s. after a renovation/​ownership change– I’m happy to confirm that «Fried Chicken Thursday’s» are back! March 2011. They’ve changed their chicken though. it may no longer be the best in town… and as of 11÷17÷11, nope, it’s not. It’s not bad, it’s just not the same. I hear though that the chef has opened a new restaurant.

After finishing a cup of great coffee next door at Crema, I walked over to Cardwell Grocery to check it out and grab a bit to eat. I first noticed that there was plenty of outdoor seating, a big plus when the weather is nice.
Once inside I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind register. I stepped over to the grill, and checked out the menu. I set my mind on a grilled cheese, but the lady working the grill told me that the grill was closed. Since it was only a bit after lunch I was surprised it was totally closed. Without the grill, there was not much left for me to see here. They had a standard selection of grocery and cold drink selection.
