History

Established in 2010.

Dabble Studio was created to bring Fun Things To Do to Nashville and to create a place where anyone could «Dabble» in art, cooking, food, and much more in a contemporary, fun studio environment. Combining a Painting Studio and a Cooking Studio only made sense to Jamie and Lynn F — culinary instructor and artist, daughter and mom, business partners! Together with TJ, their 3rd partner, and Food Tour Guide, Dabble came to life as a place where fun is the purpose and guests feel like family as they learn new skills, make new friends, and perhaps enjoy a glass of wine and some great music along the way!

Working on Wall Street was exciting, but the food in the Big Apple turned out to be more of a draw for Chef Jamie, who traded in her banking days for culinary school and started Dabble Studio with her family to bring fun and food together in Nashville. Combining her love for food with her mom, Lynn’s lifelong passion for art, they teamed up to build a studio where you can learn to paint, learn to cook, and laugh and enjoy a great time while you do!

Lynn is a great teacher! She was able to ease a diverse group of novices into our own artistic memories. The light and airy studio, the food and drink, and the celebratory atmosphere combined to create a fun and creative learning experience.

Lynn does a great job instructing non-​talented «artist» in painting.
Everything you need to do your picture is set up and ready to go when you get there, they even have snacks and drink available.

Learn to knife, make killer pasta, paint, and enjoy! Bring your own wine and do some team building! We did with duo Jamie & Lynn, family business owners. Team loved it and we’ll be back.
Couple notes, we called a couple days ahead and were granted options to paint. Check their site, they have like 50!
Pasta & knife skills was more fun than painting. But it breaks up the event and gives you all some fun games to vote on best /​worst.

Five stars for Dabble! My fiancé surprised me with one of their food tours for our anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better time. Our tour guide introduced us to Nashville’s best barbecue and we got to see so much of the city while learning a lot about its history. The food highlights for me had to be trying Alabama White Sauce, a helping of the best grits I’ve ever had, and ending with Paletas! I promise if you embark on a Dabble food tour you will not be disappointed, ours was the perfect combination of great food, company, and learning a lot about food and a new city.

Super fun evening! Jamie did a wonderful job instructing us in the ways of fondue. We were an energetic group of twelve ladies celebrating a birthday and she took care of us with aplomb. The cheese was wonderful, the wine was plentiful and the proprietress was more than hospitable.
I would suggest this to anyone looking for a fun night out with a different twist! Much more interesting than just your standard «girls night out dinner».

I had such an amazing time at Dabble for the first time last night! It was about 20 people (give or take — I’ve had some wine since I got home) and it was not only set up well when we got there (plates /​settings made up with cheese and crackers) but it was like I was at a friends over for dinner. Chef Jamie is so full of life and absolutely hilarious the entire time. The entire process was really effortless and fun, (I’ve been to classes and events where there’s so much stress it takes away from the fact you paid to do it) & @ Dabble its light, casual and exciting. The entire process is perfectly timed with no rush and no waiting around! Jamie (& family) has a wonderful story to their studio and the stuff magazines/​food network write about.
I won’t spoil it but seriously, Jamie, write a book!
Ok back to the food, we learned so much about how to simmer spices and dice veggies and the class taught how to make homemade pasta and meat sauce from scratch all under about three hours. The time flew, the music was great and the entire night was really just exactly what I was looking for! I will go back and I suggest all the Unilocal elite to check this one out. It’s completely different and one of a kind.

I think Dabble Studio is an awesome and creative alternative to the age old «dinner and a movie» date. I had such an awesome time learning to make pizza from scratch and painting a fall sunset. I absolutely adore that it is a family business. The mother and daughter duo had very different approches to teaching, but both were equally fantastic! I will be attending future events and telling all my friends about Dabble!!! My only complaint is, I wish there were aprons for sale! I think it would be a neat idea! Oh well! C’est la vie!

Have you ever stumbled into a neighborhood treasure that you know the locals know about but they’re trying to keep it all to themselves? I think I found such a place when I found Dabble Studio.
Already known for fun cooking and painting classes, it seems now they are serving up breakfast delights to the the locals from 8−10am. Very friendly folks will start your day one the right note with quiche and other treats to accompany your coffee.
Find this hidden treasure the locals are trying to keep to themselves.

This was my first paint & wine experience and I was absolutely blown away. The owner who did our class (Lynn) She was so helpful and nice. The class was small which allowed her to give each of us personalized attention while we were painting.
I was there celebrating my birthday and it was perfect! I can’t wait to go back and do another painting that they have to offer.

Great new location. Love the new studio. Enjoyable for all ages. Went with family and friends from 7 – 50 and we all enjoyed. The parent of the child was glad to be able to take her when many other places like this you can’t on Saturdays. Lynn gives you enough encouragement to guide you with out feeling pressured to not do your own thing. Can’t wait to try some of the other classes and events.

Lynn was very accommodating and super helpful when it came to my session. I am not an artist, and this was my first time painting in 10 years. However, she had the perfect balance of providing me with suggestions on how to paint the specified paintings, and allowing me to «freestyle». She made me feel at home, where it didn’t matter if you were a beginner or a master painter. I highly recommend this place, and I can’t wait to visit again.
