Very nice facial. I had bought a Unilocal offer. However, there were so many up charges for different treatments it was so much more expensive. I complained but they just shrugged. Beware!

I have been going to the Skin Care part of Élan for over a year now. I absolutely love this place! The staff is very accommodating, and always willing to work with my schedule. I would recommend Ann Manning for any skin treatments, she is great at her job and makes you feel very comfortable.

As any girl simultaneously blessed and cursed with an unruly mane of curls can attest, the importance of a stylist that KNOWS curly hair cannot be overstated. Cut the curls wrong and any number of horrors ensue: hair that ties itself in infinitesimal knots, unmanageable frizz, or treatment recommendations that lead to over processed and damaged hair.
Chance and the delightful magic of Nashville led me to Melinda at Élan in Green Hills. I walked in for a wedding up-​do last February and was met by Melinda. Her own mane of glossy, burnished red and gold curls struck an immediate chord of hair envy within me. Her hair was the embodiment of everything I strived for: volume with artful curl and zero frizz. Photoshop hair in real life.
Calling all curls, you are safe with Melinda. She knows your struggles and can transform your hair. She’s a wizard with color and shape. Bonus — she will STYLE your fresh ‘do from wet to dry and impart her own curl tricks and tips along the way.

Stopped by for an eyebrow wax and Lindsay did a great job. She was professional, attentive, and gave me a few pointers. I will be back to see her for sure!

I’ve been going to Élan Skin for several years now and KERI is the BEST! She is so cool and knowledgeable about all things SKIN. She’s done botox for me many times and always keeps me looking and feeling good. Everyone I’ve met there is friendly and kind and they work within my budget. If you want to look GREAT, go see KERI!!! I think in a beauty studio such as this one, many people shy away from leaving a positive review because most people want their peers to just think they look as they are, naturally, without any enhancements. I am writing a review SOLELY on the skincare side of élan. I have seen both Gwen and Keri E. I initially only went to get microneedling done with Gwen but then had such a good experience that I trusted her referral to go to Keri give me a consultation on botox. Keri is so practical, never lets you go too big, and always lets you know if she’s uncomfortable with the direction you’d ideally like her to go in. She always works within my budget and makes me feel special by going out of her way to help me get what I need. Her follow up is awesome, and she is so up to date with the latest trends in the beauty market. I have referred several friends to her and all of them have also just fallen in love with her bubbly personality. She can give you advice on lasers, fillers, botox and peels and always knows what is going to work with your skin type. Check her out, you wont be dissapointed.

Excellent, personal service. Got a cut and color. Although pricey, it is worth every penny. I will definitely return.

I spoke to Adam the manager yesterday and he did not rectify the situation at all. He didn’t even know who set up my appointment. I spoke to Ann today and she sis very combative and rude! She says that is my fault and Élan will not take responsibility for their actions and mistake! I warn anyone in Nashville to not fall victim to this business like I did! They do not care about a client and only care about the money! They are very unprofessional and very rude!

I usually see Suzanne, who is amazing but was in a bind to get a trim so I went for a haircut by Kaitlin. From the beginning, she had a lackluster attitude and did not seem at all interested in much of anything. I have been trying to grow my hair out for a while so it had not been cut since last November. When I told her this she visibly snarled in disgust. The haircut lasted for half an hour and then I was charged $ 65 for it. Her services were nowhere close to this value as she legitimately just cut off my split ends and sent me on my way. I may go back to Suzanne for my next trim whose services are worth the value and who exudes a general interest in my life and stories while doing my hair, but I would not recommend Kaitlin to anyone.

My regular place for eyebrow waxing called and cancelled on me last minute, and I HAD to get it done. After checking Unilocal for suggestions, I called Élan as I was making my way to Green Hills. They were very accommodating and fit me in their schedule for an appointment in less than 45 minutes.
My brows really just needed a better shape, and my esthetician did just that, and explained to me how I should let them grow and groom them property. She offered me complimentary tinting so I could try it out, and even filled them after with a new product they had. She was very friendly and did a great job for $ 17!
I also received a lovely gift bag for first time customers containing some great face wash and moisturizer, as well as an explanation on the best way to use both. Oh, and some chocolates!
I will definitely be going back.

I had an appointment at 4pm and I was 15 minutes late so they canceled my appointment and said that everybody else was busy and they will not be able to see me until a couple of weeks from that day, I was there to get a hair do because I was going to a gala that night. Obviously I couldn’t wait 2 weeks for that. I know I was late but I think they should have called me before canceling my appointment.

I saw Sara this morning for haircut and color. I’m so happy with my hair and everybody was friendly. I recommend Sara! She is wonderful and I will definitely go back.

After searching high and low for a hair salon in Nashville, I finally found my home at Élan. I have dark brown hair – almost black – and have always had trouble finding a colorist who can add in light brown highlights without turning my hair orange, brassy, or red. I decided to try Élan out since I frequent the Green Hills area.
I told Suzanne I wanted light brown highlights and she managed to give me exactly what I wanted on the first try – no toner. I’ve been back about three times since then and she’s continued to deliver. Her work is amazing! Another thing is that she has never tried to sell me a product unless I inquire about one. I cannot stand salons that are super forceful– it’s almost creepy. She’s also not super duper chatty.
When going to a salon I like to feel relaxed and have «me time» and not be constantly overwhelmed by chatter.
I HIGHLY recommend Suzanne. (But really please don’t go to her so she doesn’t become overbooked… I still need some turns!)

Love this place for a little me pampering. Everyone is always super friendly and accommodating. There is even complementary coffee in the lobby. They have a great line of natural and high end skin care products and they have sent me home with a couple different samples to try… which I love and am saving up for.
I have only done eyebrow waxings here, but Erica really nails it every time. She takes her time and does not over do the waxing. She leaves brows natural and full but with a great shape that I just can’t achieve by plucking. She is also super sweet and fun to chat with.

Nice people but specified I did not want hair foiled when making appointment for ombré. Stylist promised she could do what I wanted (hand painted highlights) with foils despite my hesitation. I trusted her and now I have chunks of color with no blend in the top layer. I will not be going back.

Haircut wasn’t good at all, but the people were very cool.

This is the only place I have gotten my haircut since moving to Nashville 2 years ago. While I am usually satisfied with the cut (I have curly hair so it is hard to find a good place) my recent experience let me down. I was a walk in appointment, telling the woman at the desk I just wanted a basic haircut ($ 48). She said if I were to wait 10 – 15 minutes someone could take care of me. The haircut turned out alright (i never like the way it looks right after, but looks good now) but when I got to the pay station I was charged $ 68. After realizing this at home, after putting away my receipt (distracted at the store by the products and chatting with my stylist) I called and asked why I was charged $ 68 (which is the price listed for ‘event styling’ on their website) instead of the $ 48 for just a regular haircut. I was told by another person (not the one that checked me in, or checked me out) that this was because that’s just how much that stylist charges. No one told me that at the beginning or during the cut. All i had was less than an inch cut off, and ended up paying almost $ 70.
If a certain stylist charges a more expensive price, let the person know before walking into a haircut. Overall, I do like this salon, but after the last experience it seems their pricing methods are a bit shady to me.

The facial was good. However, it’s quite pricey. Usually when you pay for a facial, you have add-​ons, like peel or microdermabrasion for only $ 25 – 30 extra. At least, it was like that in other spas. Here I had to pay full price ($ 65) to add a peel.
I had a basic facial and it included extractions. In generally, I’m satisfied.
UPDATE one month later.
Soon after the facial I started noticing multiple breakouts. I went to my regular trusted aesthetician and she was shocked. She has never seen me with such a horrible skin. I had many breakouts. She said that’s because the lady who did extractions in Élan, didn’t do a good job and pushed my acne inside the skin, deeper, instead of extracting. It developed bacteria inside, that’s why my face turned so bad.
Now after a couple of painful extractions with my aesthetician my face is back to normal.

Scammed! (And livid). What a huge bummer.
I’ve had many facials in my lifetime, probably between 50 and 100; I used to go on a regular basis! I know the steps: wash, steam & exfoliate, investigate & extract, mask, tone, moisturize. That’s your basic facial.
A facial is little more than a comfortable teeth cleaning, in my opinion. I prefaced with her, as I will with you, that the skin on my cheeks is particularly bad right now – acne, large pores, whiteheads… that’s why I was there. To get my skin back on track and healing. It has been like this before and can recover – but needs professional help.
As it began, she walked me through the steps, including saying, «and then I’ll extract»… well, finally we got to that part. I settled in for some necessary pain. She said «Oh yes, you’ve got some extractions – you’ll need to set an appointment next week or the week after for that.» Wait, what? That’s a part of the service – standard at any place – and she already mentioned that she was going to do that… hmmm, fishy. You need all that other stuff – the steam, the cleanse, etc. before you get to the extractions. So this didn’t make sense, but I thought, we’ll see where this goes.
So we move along and everything is fine. She told me that I must be using oily lotion (it is oil free, I assured her several times). If my skincare is a «journey», as their website seems to imply, and one in which I’ll develop a relationship with my skincare professional, then try to be helpful, please!
So we wrap it up and I leave to pay. She thanks me (she was very sweet, really) and leaves me with the woman at the front desk. She reminds me that I need to set up an appointment for extractions.
I remarked, «I don’t have my calendar in front of me – can I sign up for a time online later?»
«No,» she said, «we don’t have a place for this in the online sign up. Call and ask for me.»
«Ok, well, about how much will it cost?» I asked. She replied,” I can’t give you an exact quote… it’s around…, um, seventeen?”.
Fishy, fishy… Scam!
I couldn’t find contact for the store manager or owner online, because I would have preferred to reach out to them instead of writing this review. I am curious if this is store practice – which means that the whole shop is just overpriced with bad policies – or if this is rogue employees trying to make a few extra bucks out of pocket.
Either way, don’t go here. They will absolutely try to take advantage of you.
