Friendly, professional, convenient location, fine ambiance and good prices. She fixed my botched selfie cut and she joked about it without making me feel silly. The profusion of plants makes me feel that I’m in a tropical paradise.

If you blink once you’ll miss this place… which makes me sad that I have lived in this area for a full year and haven’t found it until now.
Patty is the most attentive person I have ever gotten a haircut from, while still being able to be super friendly and naturally easy to talk to. She takes the perfect time needed in order to give you the haircut you’re looking for. Just so happens mine took at most 15 minutes, and was still the best haircut I have gotten. And it’s a whopping $ 12.
It was my first time there but everyone else in there had been regulars and for quite a long while… now I see why. Looking forward to eventually calling myself a regular as well.

This is not only the best barber in town, this is the best barber I’ve ever been to. Is there hard wood furniture and leather stops with stainless steel razors everywhere? No. But there is Patty. Patty is the best barber/​conversationalist I’ve known inside of 32 years. The price is the lowest in town, she knows exactly what you want and she never forgets who you are or what you were talking about the last time you were in her chair. If you live in Nashville and are looking for a forever barber, you found it. If you’re visiting and want a great experience, you too have also found it.

Patty always does a great job. I’ve been coming here for at least a decade. Cuts are $ 12 before tip, and she is quick. There is almost always someone, or several people, waiting in line when you get there — but it moves really fast so don’t let that deter you.

Family Barber Shop is the place my father and brother go to get their haircuts, and whenever I’m around and she’s open I go there too. Patty is amazing, and she’s very friendly. I’ve gone there with hair down to my shoulders and she cut it nicely, and I’ve been there with one inch on my head and she still does the same great job. The price is lower than anywhere else I’ve been.
To show the kind of business she runs, I’ll tell a story. A while back I was getting my hair cut and somebody asked why she had only a 98 for cleanliness rating. She said it was for hair on the floor, as regulations say only the person in the chair’s hair should be on the floor. She said that she told the inspector that it was a waste of time to sweep up after everyone, especially if there is a line, and she wasn’t going to do it. That’s the kind of atmosphere this place has. It’s also a lot cleaner than any other place I’ve been, and the massive amounts of plants she has adds to this.

You get great value for your buck. Haircuts are $ 12 before tip, and Patty is amazing. She is very skilled, quick and super friendly. I have had nothing but great haircuts here! This is the place to go in Nashville for an excellent haircut.

I’ve been going here since 2001 and have had a great haircut by Patty everytime. That’s a lot of haircuts! The price is right, she is a great conversationalist and does great work.
