I am completely dissatisfied with Fierce Salon. I recently called twice(3 months apart) to gather information regarding a spa day event the morning before my wedding. I don’t know how much you know about spa days(or anything with the word wedding attached) but for 7 girls, that would be big money for a local business. Instead of being professional and actually interested in obtaining my business, I was told by that I would receive a call back which never occurred during both interactions. It is unclear whether the management is aware that business is being turned away due to laziness or neglect, but in this economy every sale is worth the time and the effort. Especially from clients that have previously used their services in hair styles past. Shame, shame Fierce salon. I shake my finger at you.

I hit up Fierce when I first moved to Nashville. I liked my haircut but the stylist who cut my hair moved back to LA! Bummer when that happens. The salon staff was friendly and I got my usual glass of wine. I had a different stylists when I went back and wasn’t too happy with my bangs. I know, I feel terrible saying that. Ugh so tough reviewing salons because it’s totally opinion based. Overall I would say worth a try, they are located in midtown and might be what you are looking for. As for me, my search continues.

Went based on previous reviews and reasonable prices. I had a good facial and massage. I even got dinner and night life recommendations when I told them I was visiting Nashville. FYI their nail salon space is closed due to construction.

Fierce is rad. I walked in off the street to see what sort of spontaneous pampering I could get on short notice, fully expecting to get turned away with a dose of attitude, but the girl at the front desk was totally cool, conversational and hooked me up with an appointment for a haircut with a minimal wait. It seems like every time I get a haircut, I ask for something a little edgier and different, and wind up with the same boring ‘do I’ve had my whole life. Today though, my lovely stylist actually listened and now I’m rocking some serious textured and piecey locks with the side-swept bangs I covet on other ladies. I left with a spring in my step, and a smile on my face.

(This is my citysearch review from 3.02.2011) I just came from Fierce this morning. I used a groupon for a basic European facial. I normally don’t review, as I get groupons for basic facials because it’s cheap and go to salons I use frequently(Profiles, Skin Rn, etc) for more intense treatments like peels and microderms/microplanes. I actually forgot I had the appointment until I got the reminder call yesterday. Lucky for me, as I totally have 5 big zits on my cheeks from starting a regimen of BHA… it gets all the gunk out of your pores, but then you have to watch all the gunk come out of your pores:(So anyway, I went to her and when I left, I can not tell you how much better these huge, white pimples look. She didn’t pick at them at all, just used massage, product, and high frequency(which, by the way, is normally about $ 10 extra in most salons… she used it, for free, without even mentioning it was an upgrade). It was so, so relaxing. Aside from my wonderful turn around on the blemishes, I just really enjoyed everything about it. the service came with hand and neck and FOOT massage… she massaged my face forever, and it was a good massage… not the type that make you feel like it’s a few quick strokes, just routine. I get massages about every 3 weeks or so, and I’d say her technique rivals any regular therapist(i.e. hitting all the pressure points– temples, brow bone, etc)… My skin feels so good, and has been parched/tortured by winter for the past month or so, and she offered me advice on skincare… I don’t like products pushed on me every new salon I go to, but I didn’t feel pressured… for example, after I was under the bright light on the table, she actually mentioned I didn’t need the acne spot-treatment she had previously suggested; I could just use tea tree oil(which I already have) and be fine. Like I said, I don’t normally review for the services I get from groupon, but I really just like her as a person, and am grateful for what she did for my unsightly breakout. OH! And I asked how much the service normally is(for tipping purposes) and they said $ 62. STEAL! I looked at the reviews for the salon before I bought the coupon, and I seem to remember some people having issues with staff/front desk… I don’t remember exactly, but they are just normal, pretty younger women that have you fill out a form, give you a drink, and are super sweet about it. Not sure what the problem was there in other reviews.

I used my Groupon today and it was an excellent experience. I would like to recommend this salon even if you don’t have a coupon as their prices are very reasonable for the level of experienced stylist working with your hair. Sometimes I feel businesses try to upsell at checkout out to make up for discounts and coupons. No pressure here with buying products, although I needed some and did buy a few. Angel was my stylist accompanied by his assistant Lauren. Both very nice and efficient. Both drying my hair at once, I felt like a celebrity. Was in and at of the salon in exactly 2 hours, on a Saturday, including 2 applications of color — roots and then all over — received cut, and deep condition, and full blow out. I did not opt for the«hair makeover» however you are in capable hands if you do. They reshaped my haircut and my color is very rich. They shared styling and drying tips that will change my life forever. This is a small detail but important to me, I was offered a beverage — soda or wine — so I hesitantly selected white wine. In past experiences at hair salons, nail salons, or boutiques the complimentary wine has been being served for quite some time and turns vinegary so you don’t even drink it. This was fresh and enjoyable. Fierce definitely has a new customer! P. S. They offer«beauty bucks» as a thank you to their customers for referrals. $ 20 off per referral which are able to be stacked. So as a courtesy, if you decide to go upon my review, please mention my name Amy Wright. Thanks!

I was a little apprehensive of going to blindly get my hair done at Fierce. I too purchased the Groupon, and when asked who I’d like to make an appointment with I requested a guy. I usually go to a male stylist, so I figured I’d stick with it. I walked into Fierce and upon stating my name I was told the guy I had the appointment with was not there, but I could have my hair done by the seemingly very young girl who was sitting behind the desk at that time. Um. believe me, I felt like I was truly in for a disaster. My appointment had already been f*ed up, and a random girl was about to do my hair! You know what? Amber, the stylist, kicked my hair’s ass. In a good way. My hair looks great. I described what I wanted and she really did exactly that. The color is beautiful, the cut is really nice. The Groupon package came with a protein-treatment, which was like a mini head massage. I’m glad I took advantage of the deal, because the experience could have been pretty pricey. I’ll continue to go to my regular hairdresser as I have a repoire with him. But I totally recommend Amber to anybody. I think Fierce has gone through a few ownership changes, so the inconsistent Unilocal reviews might be the result of that. Also, I will most likely re-visit Fierce because they offer craniosacral massages for a better price than some other salon/spas in town.

Fierce is definitely a high end, modern salon. It has a sleek, urban vibe and the staff is great. They have a fantastic skin care product line, SkinCeuticals. It’s customized to the individuals skin type, and I could tell that the guy who helped me knew what he was talking about. One aspect that I really appreciated was that he didn’t just try to sell me products for the sake of making a sale. When one product I was interested in wasn’t right for me, he told me so and why. That’s the type of service that keeps me coming back. I have never had any of Fierce’s hair salon services. If the looks of their clients while I was in there are any indication, these are highly trained stylists. One girl’s hair was so cute that I wanted to sit right down in the chair after her! I would totally give them a try for these services. And that’s saying a lot since I tend to panic over a new person cutting my hair. Just brings back bad memories of a super bad haircut a long time ago. I will go back to Fierce next time I need skin care products, or to try a new stylist. This is one place that lives up to its name.
