Petting zoo in the back. Great selections in the front. Boom, donezo. Awesome stop on a recent road trip, I would definitely stop back.

Vinyl selection was about a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ mix of new and used titles. Not a lot of great finds, but from what I could see prices on used items were average for a record store. New items probably a bit marked up but with the location I guess it’s the cost of doing business. Had a good mix of genres, however not alot of inventory in each one. Staff was very nice.

Fond Object was one of my favorite shopping experiences while in Nashville. Record stores with new and used records AND clothing are my favorite! Sadly, I didn’t find any records I couldn’t live without on my visit, as I mostly go for specific, used albums. I did score an awesome pair of boots and loved (wanted everything in) the clothing selection. The atmosphere was pleasant, will visit again.

Super cool record store to dig through! My girlfriend bought me a rare Reverend Horton Heat 45 online from this shop and since we got the package I bookmarked Fond Object so I could check it out in person. Well organized sections and a good selection of rare but fairly priced Beatles colored vinyl. They also have a super cool vintage record rack that is one of a kind. There is also a vintage store in the back of the shop and they have a lot of cool clothes, boots and turntables. This place is way worth checking out, do your record collection a favor and shop here!

Pretty disappointed with Fond Object as I had high hopes that it would be as cool as the reviews that I read. They have a Scoutmob deal that reads «50% off, $ 5 max discount». As soon as I walked in I asked the dude behind the counter who informed me that the Scoutmob deal is only good for used records. The olé bait n’ switch. And by the way, the used records are mixed in with the new records so it’s hard to know which items the deal is good for and not. The guy behind the counter was not very helpful nor welcoming. He seemed way more interested in staring at his phone than talking to me. They have a decent assortment of new releases, but the used records… I’ll just same that I am a music aficionado and 90% of the used records were from bands I had never, ever heard of. Overall, Fond Object was a big disappointment. I’ll probably be back to check out a show or event there, but not to shop.

Small but awesome record shop worth checking out for their surprisingly amazing selection of vinyl and vintage clothing for sale as well. Find Object is also host to all sorts of fun events and shows, making them a great addition to Riverside Village.

They have a wide variety of records, both popular stuff and hard to find stuff. They also have a cool selection of vintage oddities like clothes and odds and ends – even some instruments.
My beefs:
— the old classic records they have are usually reissues (think Two Men With Beards), not the original pressings, which is fine, but that usually means they’re expensive.
— they are a little pricey compared to some other shops
But they do usually have records I can’t find in other shops in Nashville, but like I said, they tend to be reissues, which isn’t really what I’m looking for. But that’s not just their fault, that’s just Nashville. Gems are hard to come by here, seeing as everyone seems to be buying vinyl nowadays.

I f’ing love this store. It’s as though someone went though the records I own, and the records I want, and put them into a store. So clearly they have excellent taste. Every time I go here i could easily drop $ 200 without trying too hard. Trust me, i’ve had to put things back many times because I was already carrying around $ 100 of records. The used section is huge and excellent, the new records, also great. Prices, fair and reasonable. I always take a stroll through the clothes and furniture, they usually have rad stuff. But i’m solely there for the vinyl. However my wife did buy a sweater last time we were there. I like this store so much we drove up from Atlanta to see a show in the store! I even suggested my friend screen her Rye Coalition film here. What else is good? Plenty of parking, a petting zoo (i’m not kidding) and you have three solid places to eat withing walking distance. All of those things together makes for a 5 star record store.

If you are looking for something that may be hard-​to-​find and like the thrill of the hunt, new records or just want a simple dig that won’t take hours… I’d suggest stopping by here. It’s worth a look!

I am a huge fan of Fond Objects. Great selection and fair prices. I always find several things that I must have. The guy who works behind the counter (I think he’s the owner or manager) is laid back and always helpful.

Although some may think that I’m high maintenance, it really doesn’t take much to make this broad happy at the end of the day and Fond Object satisfies nearly everything on my checklist:
Music — Records, rekkids, or vinyl. doesn’t matter what moniker you prefer, they have a solid selection here. You can get your paws on new, local, or used all in the same place and they also stock CDs and DVDs as well.
Animals — Speaking of paws, if you’re not being greeted by the sassy and stylish GiGi, you’ll run into Dottie the pig and even a new little goat out back in the warm months or during special events. I brought my little lady Bellini in the other day and it made for a comical but fun shopping experience.
Fashion — Ah, YES. We are hitting a trifecta here folks. They have a nicely curated area (back room) called Rags + Digs that stocks great vintage clothing and accessory finds along with furniture and home goods too. I could spend an hour back here easily especially when there is a sample rack of Nashville designer pieces from Black by Maria Silver! To say that I stocked up on several pieces is an understatement. Maria (Poni) has her design studio nestled up front so you can inquire about fit, custom pieces, or check out her newest collections all in the same place. Seriously. Beautiful. Stuff.
And, I guess the only thing that they don’t carry is food and drink which are the other 2 things that make my world go round but if you happen to attend one of their fun events, they have anything from beer to mimosas to offer while you mix and mingle throughout this space.
That’s not all, you can find art, but local concert tickets, and enjoy in-​store performances here as well.
If they served vegan burgers, I’d never leave here. And, you think that I’m joking…

Excellent selection of punk records! Lots of good 80’s and 90’s jamz. It’s nice not having to dig through tons of records for an hour and find maybe one record that you kind of want, but rather you find several just in the first five minutes! The store has a nice section in the front with a clothing boutique and mid century/​retro type items as well, so it’s wife/​girlfriend friendly! Pricing is fair and honest. I’ll be back there soon!

Fond Object is by far the best record store in Nashville. Really nice staff, they didn’t mind chatting with us and told us some cool places to check out in town. They have a great selection of new and used vinyl and we found a ton of cool stuff there, more than we had money to purchase! Definitely check this place out!

Fond Object is the best record store in town right now. Most places I go into, I find a few things here and there that I might want, but with this place the whole store is loaded with records I want. It’s like shopping my own collection with all the records I’m missing sitting there right where they belong. Soo many must haves! Some are pricey, but most are generally inexpensive and are certainly worth more than the asking price. It’s hard not to approach the counter with a stack of LP’s and 45’s.
While mostly focused on rock records, there are country, jazz and metal records as well. There’s definitely something there for every type of record collector, from beginner to super nerd.

Even if I were to base it soley on the selection alone, Fond Object is clearly the next up-​and-​coming BEST record store in Nashville. Small for now, this little Audiophile batcave dreamland even has a selection of local art and vintage threads. I had no problem finding nearly every gem I’ve ever pined for in my collection, and strange rarities I never knew existed! It’s lovely to know if they don’t have it, I can probably get it anyway. This isn’t the oddball bin at your local Goodwill, this is a handcrafted collection of wholesome musical breakfast. I left with a copy of «God Bless Tiny Tim» and some classic «Johnny Cash». If you can get over the fact that there is probably going to be a gaggle of hipsters judging each other judging themselves whilst looking at records, then you’ll be golden. Try it. You’ll like it.
