Expensive. And gross. And terrible service. I think their best customer is a masochist. If you like eating crappy food, paying too much, and getting terrible service, this is your place! Everyone else should run! Get McDonald’s. Seriously. I haven’t eaten at McDonald’s in a decade, but I’d pick it over this place.

We were in search of late night food(11pm) the whole resort is shut down except this gem. We weren’t expecting much but from the second we walked up and started talking to Chantell at the front it was a great experience. Once we sat down, we loved her so much we called the manager over, Eric, and turns out he’s the coolest guy ever too. We ended up talking for quiet a while and he and Chantel gave us some great pointers for our trip. Then last but not least Gary, our server, came and was prompt and attentive. We ordered the ribeye, half a chicken and the brisket. Now the kitchen messed up a bit. They ran out of mash potatoes which two of our dishes had so they just put Mac and cheese on it: this is where I’d normal take a star away. But Gary handled it so well that the star remains. (Extra sides and free desert make me a happy girl!)

During this visit I had the pulled pork. I found it to be ok but not much smoky flavor. The BBQ sauce was very good and helped to bring out some of the flavor. The corn soup was very good as was the grits. Excellent service.

Rolls and tea were great, other than paying $ 7 for rolls. Food took forever to come out, and then out of our 3 plates the food runner handed us wrong plates, one wasn’t even what we ordered so had to send it back. We ordered bbq sandwich, crispy chicken and the burger. Once we got the chicken as ordered it was good. Burger came out well done instead of medium it barely had any pimento cheese. Very dry sandwich. Bbq had fat within every bite. Very disappointed especially for the price and terrible service. Our server was nice and friendly but food wasn’t worth the money.

Showed up this evening for a group dinner to find the restaurant inexplicably closed despite the published operating hours indicating the restaurant is open. Not. Cool. I guess my recommendation would be not to, you know, dare try to have dinner at the restaurant during normal business hours. If you do decide to try it, maybe don’t do it during the height of the Christmas season when getting in and out of the hotel is a cluster. Pro tip-darting around horse drawn carriages and driving around for 20 minutes to finally score your $ 24 parking space doesn’t make for a very happy camper when you finally get to the restaurant and find it closed for no reason.

Terrible service: our server forgot to give us our waters. We had to ask for everything. Never refilled our waters once. I felt that since he knew that we had to give him a 18% tip regardless due to the size of our party, he did not give us good service. But I don’t want to make any assumptions of course. Despite the great live performance, we were not too satisfied with our food. It was greasy and small-portioned given the substantial price. If you’re looking for a better bang for your buck, don’t eat here unless you have money to spend — otherwise, I’d recommend going somewhere local. We ordered the brisket quesadillas and the brisket soup.

You pay for the name not for the food or service. Way over priced. Food was so bad I had maybe four bites; server took no notice when taking away my plate and promptly brought the bill. This was one of the worst places I have ever eaten and the service was just as bad. LOVEYOURWHISKYBUTYOURSALOONSUCKS!

Go with the other reviews and get the«appetizer» brisket quesadilla, you will not be disappointed. We went for lunch and I had the roasted half chicken. It was good(and a somewhat healthy option), but I wished I had the quesadilla instead after someone at our table shared a bite with me. Keep in mind this place is expensive for what you are getting(like all of the hotel restaurants). I think the quesadilla was $ 14 or $ 16 and my chicken was $ 22. We went back for some late night drinks and this is definitely a popular bar within the hotel. I was disappointed they were out of ginger ice so I could not try their signature drink. One of the male bartenders was really awkward(and not really friendly) so I purposely started to only ask for help from the other female bartender on duty. On select nights they have live music here at 9PM so check your schedule of events provided to you when you check in!

Best place to eat at the Gaylord Opryland. Service was fast which is not common at other restaurants located in the Gaylord. Staff is very friendly. Live music at night.

The restaurant smells great when you walk in – the hickory smoke in the air is wonderful. I had the pulled pork, my wife had the«burnt» brisket tips. Traditional and seasonal vegetables were available. I had the«smashed» brussel sprouts; they were sauteed, sliced sprouts — very nice. My wife had collard greens that were nicely prepared. The meal was good and we enjoyed the food. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. He helped we Yankees understand the menu items. My reason for not providing a better rating is the prices. I’ve had steaks at restaurants that cost less than our meals. Drinks are priced that way also. Bottom line: the cost of the resort amenities has to be picked up somewhere; you’ll find it in the room costs and fees and in the cost of food. So, if you’re at the Opryland Resort, enjoy a nice meal, but expect to pay a pretty penny for it.

The service was good and everyone was quite pleasant from the host to the bartender to the server. However; I was not very impressed with the food at all. There was no complimentary bread or anything served(which this type of place usually has) and we only tried the kale salad with grilled shrimp. While the salad was quite good and the dressing delicious, the grilled shrimp were simply terrible. Very rubbery and so salty that it overwhelmed the taste of everything else. Every shrimp was like a horrific salt-bomb more troublesome than the last. The novelty has worn-off and I cannot see myself returning.

Ordered the beef short ribs. They were full of grease and fat with no flavor. The famous rolls came in a cast iron skillet, they were dried out, room temperature, with almost no honey butter on top. In other word they were old. Our server acted as though he was in a rush and we were a bother. He never came back to check on us and changed my wife’s $ 6 tip into $ 16 thinking she would not check and let it be charged to our room. By habit I left 15% on my cheque which I truly regret due to how we were treated. We will not eat at any restaurant in this hotel for the remainder there is better food at better prices with in a short drive. Conventions isn’t always worth it.

Disappointed, we were expecting much more from a bar named Jack Daniels. Got the try 3 kinds of craft beer samples to choose which you liked. Ordered the short ribs for 2 and got two sides which we chose mashed potatoes and macaroni. The short ribs were very fatty. By the time you got the fat off there wasn’t much left. The sides were blah. $ 40 for the food was way over priced. Didn’t care for any of the craft beer samples so we struck out on all fronts.

This place is not very good, my first order of burnt inns came and the grease was actually running off the plate. Reordered a salad with chicken, be sure to ask for white meat or you will get very fatty chicken for $ 6.

This place went well above & beyond what I would have ever expected. Both my husband & myself were blown away by how amazingly tasty the food was. The Brisket Quesadillas were sooooooo full of flavor! We shared the Hickory Pulled Pork platter with baked beans & fries. It was well more than enough food for both of us :) Saved the extra sauce from the Quesadillas to dip the fries in ;) Sooooo yummy! The atmosphere was very pleasant & there were a couple of guys playing/singing that night as well. They did a pretty swell job, I must say :) We had a high table but it was unusually comfortable for such. The employees were quite chipper themselves which was very nice to see & pleasant, quick service is definitely always a plus for sure! I had been by this restaurant a few years ago with my sister & toddler when she was a baby. A little disappointed that I had not gone in, but I did not because it wasn’t clear that it was a «family friendly» restaurant but nowwww since I know, we shall definitely return :)

Pretty darn good! Those brisket quesadillas were fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly. Brought me a sample of a beer we talked about. We chose to have apps instead of a meal and two were plenty. Very generous portions, Second app was the pimento cheese and ham. Very yummy.

Brisket quesadillas were to die for. Wish I can come back everyday for lunch here. Amazing. They don’t advertise that they’re kid friendly, but they are and accommodated my daughter with some yummy chicken tenders. Recommending this place to all my TN family.

An unlikely spot for such tasty southern comfort food, but that’s indeed what we found at Jack Daniel’s. The half chicken entrée with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese was a healthy amount of food and all delicious. The chicken was plump, the potatoes were fresh and rustically mashed, and the mac n cheese was lovely with its crunchy breadcrumb topping and hearty flavor. While not award winning, the corn muffins and honey butter to start were on point given how hungry we were. Crumbly and special with that great cornmeal taste. Iced teas are made in house and served in nearly quart size mason jars, so that was delicious and adorable. The service is where they really had us feeling that southern vibe. Frankie was very personable and attentive to our large party and kept us both well-served and entertained. Though the restaurant is in the hotel, the meal and experience at Jack Daniel’s would have you believe otherwise.

The Jack Daniels saloon is located in the Opryland hotel in Nashville. I have only here once and the food was okay. At first when we arrived we did not have a reservation and I noticed that there were big casks outside of the restaurant that look like liquor was in them. I did ask the hostess if there were actual liquor in the castle she said The casts were just for show. I did have four people eating with me and our waiter was actually really nice and accommodating he really knew the menu well and he had a good selection of things that he recommended without us having to ask him for recommendations. We did not get any of the appetizers here I ordered a double shot of Jack straight and the two other people I was with got Jack and cokes and the other person I was with just got a beer. The waiter did say that the brisket was highly recommended. Two of the people I was with had a hard time choosing between getting the ribs or the brisket both of them ended up settling on the brisket. Me on the other hand I ended up getting a smoked Gouda cheeseburger with bacon and brisket on top The burger was garnished with crispy onion straws. When I receive the burger it looked absolutely amazing. I was very excited to try this burger. I took my first bite into the burger and I noticed that the burger was just okay there wasn’t a tremendous amount of flavor from the burger. What I did taste was the onion straws the smoked Gouda cheese and the brisket. The brisket on top of the cheeseburger actually tasted very good. Knowing what I do now if I did eat here again I would just ask for brisket. One of the people that I was with that just got the brisket and it up substituting his side for macaroni and cheese. He told me he wished that he didn’t get the macaroni and cheese because it was extremely dry. I tasted some of the macaroni and cheese and it was not something that I would’ve eaten. They definitely had it sitting for a while and they just reheated it quickly. I have had better microwavable macaroni and cheese then the macaroni and cheese that they had. I did think that my burger was a little bit expensive it was $ 19 for the burger with the brisket. I know you’re having brisket to it but it was really only three pieces of brisket and if you charge a dollar for each strip of brisket. It’s still a $ 16 burger. The one issue I did have was that they do not have a bathroom inside of the restaurant. I ended up having to walk through the entire restaurant go outside in the hall and walk down the hallway to go use the public restroom. Overall I did enjoy the ambience of this restaurant. I might come back here to eat I don’t know if I will but if I do I’m going to keep it very simple. I highly recommend this place for drinks it’s a good place for food just keep it simple. PROS: — ambiance is cool CONS: — no bathroom in the place. — bit pricy — The food looked great. taste wise surprisingly not much flavor.
