Nashville Flea Market

I loved this flea market! It had everything from cheap Chinese goods to fine antiques. My friend and I went two days and still didn’t see everything! If you’re ever in Nashville, check it out!

Totally worth the crowds and sometimes open air inclement weather. Some month’s are better than others, but there’s always something for everybody.

Stumbled upon this place during my wander around the mall. Lots of interesting shops & things to look at. The farmer’s market is nearby to refuel.

This is what a free market should be like. It was almost like off of one of those TV shows where they find great finds at flea markets and refurbish them and flip them.
This place is really huge, we spent two and a half hours there and did not finish seeing it all. We bought a few things and were able to bargain with the vendors.
Next time I come to Nashville I hope I Drive so I can carry some things back in my truck.

My friend and I had a nice mid-​afternoon stroll here just to check out the market. The items sold are plentiful and unique, ranging from guitars to household knick-​knacks, odds & ends, as well as enormous stocks of jewelry. The stock ranged from eccentric to essential, and I dare say everyone walked away with at least one item.
When you enter the market, you will be inundated by huge vendors of low-​priced clothing and jewelry. As you head farther down the road and up the hill inside the tents and buildings, visitors can find more antiques, furniture, and collectibles. There is definitely something for everyone. One of the tents specializes in discounted foods, but I would keep an eye out for expiration dates. There is a really nice vendor inside who sells candles and various dips who will give you a bag of pretzels to sample each unique flavoring. Most all of the vendors are willing to talk with you and haggle over prices.
If you’re looking to fix up your house or are interested in DIY projects, this market definitely has the raw materials for you. There are also some various boutiques on the fringes selling higher-​priced clothing and jewelry.
My only qualm with this event is the concessions and food. If you ever come to this event, please please PLEASE remember to bring one or two of your own water bottles as water here costs a whopping $ 2.50. Lemonade costs even more at the stands. While food was more affordable, most of the food trucks are tucked away behind the obscure Creative Arts Building and are easily missed. I would suggest packing some snacks or eating before to avoid the ridiculous prices.
Overall, definitely somewhere I would frequent again if I had a home improvement project or a unique gift in mind.

The Nashville Flea Market is such an eclectic mix! I LOVE going and get so sad when I am unable to make it for flea market weekends.
There are the tables of vendors who sell things like knock off watches, shampoos, hats, discount tools, etc (this isn’t my cup of tea but they are always slammed in that building). You also have a couple building of antique and other «well loved» treasures just waiting to have new life breathed into them. Outside is more of a combination of refinished furniture, retro art pieces, fruits, vegetables, rugs, and any other thing you could want to find.
Vendors come from all over and have interesting perspectives to share.
Such an amazing and well run flea market!

I-​65 At Wedgewood Avenue. (500 Wedgewood Avenue) (615)-862−5016. Free admission, but you’ll pay $ 5.00 for parking. Over 1000 vendors, you could easily spend hours upon hours going through the market. I found a couple of things I’d been thinking about buying for a while like the hand-​crafted cedar bat houses. I My brother scored on several pieces of furniture and was able to get 3 tables and a large dresser for under $ 400, all antiques. Lots of deals and treasures, junk, one of a kind things and some mass produced stuff. Entertaining way to spend half a day and you’ll never know what you might come across.

This place is awesome! There is SO much to look at. Definitely wear comfy shoes, and bring a drink because it is hot. There is a lot of variety between booths and something for everyone. It took us a few hours and I don’t think we saw everything. Some of the booths were pretty expensive but there’s a lot of great deals. Parking is five dollars and bringing cash is a must!

There is plenty of variety among booths! If you’re looking for good deals, head to the tables with what looks like a bunch of junk… basically not the booths that are branded well and have a business name.
Potential, potential, potential. A lot of things could become super cool if cleaned up a bit. Even though the market is busy, there is typically enough room to walk since it’s all so spread out. I like that there are drinks and food available if you’re hungry or thirsty. I would look here first if I were looking for a cool furniture piece.
The reason for a dock in star is because most pieces are not priced and the booth owner is no where in sight. For me, if I have to put in work of something I’m willing to pay less than $ 5 for, I’ll probably just walk away. Which I do most of the time.
Tip: Try to go on a cool day. I get tired and cranky by the end. Also try to find (legal) parking on the street to avoid having to pay. If you do pay, it’s only $ 5 though.

I have been going to the flea market off and on for years. It’s just hard to go and pass up the opportunity to go look at so much junk under one location. It doesn’t matter who you are or what social standing you are. They will have something there that you can’t live without. It happens every time I walk in there. I have never in my life even though about buying a little pair of hands on a stick that you can pick up chips out of a bag with. Then when I walked in and saw them I knew life couldn’t go on unless they were mine. See, those kind of experiences can only happen at the flea market. Socks, toys, pillows, knives, antiques, vacuum cleaners, boots, roasted nuts and freak VHS tapes which you know everyone loves!
The bottom line is that no matter what your taste are, you will find something there that you like. Sunday’s have the best deal and the secret to a good parking spot is to come in from Bransford ave. I really hope this helps and tilts the scale in favor of you going there if you were on the fence. Trust me, it’s worth the trip.

An excellent variety of booths, something for every type of flea market shopper. More booths than you can see in one day! Typical carnival style food available. There is a shuttle to and from the large parking lot but I didn’t need it. Ask the vendors for a large item pick up slip and you can drive closer to get it. Booths are both indoors and outdoors so dress accordingly.

Its LARGE, its VAST, and it sometimes STINKS. That’s what you can expect at the flea market. Once a month, the market takes over the state fairgrounds, and tons of vendors pop up shop to sell their wares all over the place. Want cds, got um. Want furniture, got that to. Want random knick knacks that have no inherent value, yup its here. Want a Blu-​ray copy of the Incredibles, only to get home and it be 100% in Chinese, yup you can get that to. Wife and I enjoy walking around looking at everything, though we rarely find anything that draws us to buy. Theirs random food stations set up around the grounds and as this is a public venue, its got public restrooms so be warned. You can easily get lost, as every room has vendors, and you may actually miss entire section of stuff if you don’t watch. Overall, a fun way to spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday, just be sure to shop smart and remember, if that Blue-​ray sounds to good to be true, that’s because it is.

First off, the Nashville Flea Market only happens the fourth weekend of every month, Friday-​Sunday, so be sure to plan in advance for that. Second of all, allow yourself some serious time, because this monthly event takes up the entire Fairgrounds. All throughout the parking lots and through the buildings the Flea Market has some of the most interesting wares to show you. Now lets be honest, some of it is absolutely crap and there are some booths where I am confused as to why a person would be selling what they are selling, but there are also some really amazing finds here. I’ve gotten handmade picture frames, repurposed furniture, gifts of all shapes and sizes, you name it. There’s seriously something for everyone if you are willing to take the time to look around. I actually recommend coming with minimal idea of what you want and just seeing what you can find that you may need or didn’t realize you needed. I found a wooden tray that I turned into a cork board. Not my plan that day but it worked out! There’s $ 5 parking in and around the fairgrounds or free spots on the street if you come at the right time. Everyone I’ve ever interacted with here has been great and very excited to talk about what they are selling. Also, let’s be honest. come for the people watching. There’s a lot happening here so take some serious time to explore.

This place is AMAZING! You could go all three days and still miss thing! One thing that you need to be aware of is that you NEED to wear supportive shoes, this is definitely not a place to wear flip flops unless you only plan on being there a short time; if you plan on being there all day then you need to wear supportive shoes or you will be sorry.
There’s a lot of amazing stuff, and it can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t have anything specific in mind. Most of the booths take only cash, but they do have ATM’s in a couple of the buildings.
Only negative thing I have to say about the market that could be helped by the expo center is having places for people to sit. You feel a bit rude taking a seat in one of the many booths when you’re not planning on buying the chair, but after a while a seat it nice to be had. The only place that I saw a place to sit that wasn’t in a booth was outside of a food vender next to the lemonade stand.
Another somewhat troublesome thing would be that while there was so many amazing things I’m not sure how someone would get the bigger pieces back to their car. This could be something that the buyer would work out with the person they purchased the piece from, but it was something that I was a bit confused about.

I’ve found a mid-​century dresser, antique wardrobe, and killer hand-​crafted kitchen table, all from different vendors, all for amazing prices.
Of course, there’s a fair share of junk here, but when you have something in mind, especially furniture, this should be your first stop. Vendors are always open to bargaining, especially if you can pay in cash.
If you go without anything in mind, just keep your eyes open to the people that go there. You’ll spot the regulars in a heart beat. I have also never seen so many people with fat dogs in strollers in one place.
The best months with the most selection (that I’ve found) are the ones at the peak of spring and fall. Winter is the worst… it’s so cold! But you also may get a really good bargain because the vendors really want to sell what they have to break even.

In my opinion, a flea market is only good if it has what you are looking for. If you are looking for packages of gum for 50 cents or tube socks for a dollar, you’ve come to the right place.
The flea Nashville flea market is open every last weekend of the month, all year long. We stopped by to try & find some old kitchen utensils for a food blog. The temperature out was frigid, but there were lots of venders set up outside. Some sell old antiques, other sell kitschy trinkets. From booth to booth you will find a mixture of different items, some «new» & others «antique.» Looking for used & old looking kitchen items, you’d think a flea market would be a perfect place, but most of the venders selling think they’ve got Smithsonian kind of items. Eleven dollars for a rusty ice cream scoop? No.
Overall it’s worth a visit if you’re trying to kill a few hours, however they do charge 5 dollars for parking.

Plan to stay all day, soak it in, watch the people.
Like all of the stuff there, going to the flea market is about the journey, not necessarily the destination. Going on Friday or on Sunday is going to get you some better prices and crowds will be less. If you’re looking for a big piece, Sunday after 2pm, the dealers will really work with you because they don’t want to have to pack it up and move it.

This place is huge. I was there for several hours and did not see it all. Some great finds… from antiques to produce to socks to just plain junk. You can find just about anything. I would have stayed longer had it not been such a hot day. Looking forward to coming back on a cooler day.

I have frequented the Nashville Flea Market over the last few months and have scored some stellar deals (almost steals) on furniture and home décor. Sure, there are some odd booths that sell newly package gym socks and some areas that look like «hoarder heaven» but I have been very happy with some of my finds.
I was able to scoop up a gorgeous armoire and curio cabinet where a little negotiation whittled down the already reasonable prices to barely a a couple of hundred dollars each. If these pieces were available at a Antiques Store or boutique, they would have easily doubled or even tripled in price. Plus, they are so unique and interesting that you would have a hard time finding authentic vintage pieces like this in a very commercial setting. I absolutely love them and they are such statement pieces in my loft! We literally had to leave and come back and pick up our things with a U-​Haul but I unexpectedly fell in love with so much stuff.
In addition, I was able to get a trio of vintage Mason jars for way under market value here at just $ 6 each whereas you can expect to pay much more at other locations. Throw in an old Coca Cola crate (to store my records) for $ 15 and you have quite the Americana deal, right?
Sure, you have to dig through some junk but that is part of the fun. There are so many gracious vendors here with quality stuff and many are happy to negotiate a bit on price too. I fell in love with some antique china place settings here that were a bit out of my budget but it goes to show that you can find some high-​end goodies here.
You may also find local artisans and makers selling their wares as well. I have noticed some vintage clothing but not a ton and I have yet to pull the trigger on anything for myself. Although, my dear friend did find a near perfect designer vintage dress that was priced well under what it would retail elsewhere.
Be sure to bring some cash for parking ($ 5) so you can park near the entrance or you could run into some issues finding close parking… you want to be able to load up, right?
Also, there are some refreshments and food onsite but I try to bring a water bottle when I come because I know that I’ll be there for awhile. It can be a really fun adventure!

Mark your calendar for the Nashville Flea Market, which falls on the third weekend of every month. Admission is free, but parking is $ 5 unless you feel like parking down the street and taking a walk. (I don’t recommend that, though.) Most booths here consist of the following:
1.) Real vintage finds, from clothing to housewares
2.) WTF expired food and beauty care products (Gum, 4/​$ 1! Shampoo, $ 2!)
3.) Hipster booths with overpriced boots you can find cheaper at a few booths down
4.) A mix of 1 – 3
I hear there’s a lot of tasty food and sweets on the grounds, but I haven’t indulged myself (yet). If you’re a serious vintage/​thrift shoppin’ person or just someone who wants to find a few things, I think you’ll be satisfied with our flea market because of its size. There really is something for everyone here!
