I came to Nashville in 2002 from my home country of Myanmar. My first ever sushi was the one I bought from the convenience store in the basement of the Carmichael Towers and I, then, thought «that’s one bland food!.»
Fast forward 4 years; in 2006, I graduated from Vanderbilt University with molecular and cellular biology major and by then I know where to find good sushi. Then in 2010, I had my Registered Nurse license and started practicing. While working as a nurse, I was planning my next endeavor, the Nomzilla!
I started learning the ins and outs of starting a restaurant, from finding the perfect location to how to price the menu. Two years later, here we are; the Nomzilla! is here and I still have my sanity.
Armed with my knowledge of the inner workings of all living things, both in molecular and health care aspects, I am offering a new way to eat sushi and related products with emphasis on freshness, flavors, safety and freedom of choice for customers.
