Rudy Title & Escrow

Unimpressive.
Was steered to Rudy because the buyer «only uses Rudy!» OK, great, let’s give them a whirl…
Well, they appear to be impossible to get on the phone. Poor communication. I had to constantly call and email to get any kind of updates or answers. There is a better and easier way of doing a closing, but Rudy’s not it.
I have been ASSURED by others that once they know you and you do several closings with them, they will get better. (IE, once you are ‘worth it’ as a customer!) Well, I’d rather do business with someone in town that treats you properly right off the bat, from the first closing on.
So, Rudy… I wish you luck in the future. I, however, will be using someone that is more ‘customer friendly.’

Great place to close on a property! Big enough to get the job done small enough to really care and help.

Why, Dear God, would anyone ever write a review of an Escrow service and title company? Okay, I’m bored BUT this is the most crazy organized mortgage closing company and most amazing woman ever. Run by Mary Frances Ruby, this woman ROCKS you house closing paper work like a champ. She’s on time, funny, explains things in technical detail (my husband) and in english (me). I was not at all looking forward all our refinance paperwork, but Mary Frances is clearly one of those people who ‘knows people’ gives great advice for local business providers and I feel way more in the know about Nashville having her in my list of contacts. Her company is located close to Vandy (a huge perk) with easy parking and she can set up paper work quickly and efficiently. She’s the whole package AND… wait for it… she gives you a bottle of wine with your closing paperwork. What’s not to love?!

As a Realtor I’ve been referring my business to Rudy Title and Escrow as long as I’ve been in the game — since 2003. I love that Rudy Title offers aggressive pricing for both Buyers and Sellers. But mostly, I love taking my clients to the beautifully restored historic home with period furniture where Rudy is located in Hillsboro Village.
In my experience on the Buyer side it isn’t so much the actions of the title companies, but the speed of the Buyer’s lender that makes the difference. A title company just can’t do their job until the lender sends them the lending package. But Rudy has a large enough staff to pull together a settlement statement very quickly on those hectic closings where the documents don’t show up until 5 minutes before settlement time. Unfortunately this seems to be the norm anymore in mortgage lender. But that’s another topic altogether.
On the Seller side of a deal, I love that I can get an almost instantaneous quote for title insurance (and reissue credit) with one quick email. I’ve never had an issue with getting my HUD1 late because a closer was too busy.
Rudy will also travel all over Nashville for closings if you have a busy professional who can’t get off work. They also give clients the choice of paper or cd format for their closing doc copies. Oh, and red or white wine as a gift.
Kudos to Mary Frances Rudy for putting together such an efficient organization in such a lovely setting.
