Susanne at Shine Salon is fantastic at dealing with LOTS of hair! She takes her time and the result is consistently FANTASTIC! The highlights on my dark blonde hair are also great! If you are looking for a new stylist, Susanne would be a great choice!!!

Can’t say enough great things about Kim Brown at Shine Salon! SHE IS A GENIUS! I moved to Franklin from Las Vegas-​lived in LA most of my life –the beauty resources in LV and LA are the best so I was nervous about finding the right person to color my hair. Kim does an amazing job! I get compliments everywhere I go.
I’ve spent $$$$$ and been forced to wait up to 2 hours ft I r a celebrity stylist — Kim is on time everytime and works with my schedule. The salon is near Green Hills and parking can be challenging but Kim Brown and Shine Salon are worth it!

I had a pretty bad experience here…3 stars is kind. I have curly hair and found the cut, esp the use of thinning shears, to increase frizz and volume. Given the price, I left with regret!

By far the best! Susanne is the shining star of the salon, but book months in advance! However, I’ve been to all but one stylist in the salon & have always walked away completely happy! Whatever your hair needs are, Shine can provide! Crystal is great with men’s hair. Jaclyn is great with curly hair & Keratin treatments. Jessica has given my daughter funky fun colors! I highly recommend Shine Salon to everyone that wants fabulous hair!

I’ve been coming here over two years now to see Kim and she’s wonderful. She’s got an eye for color, which is great because I don’t. She totally understands that I need a low-​maintenance color and cut, and doesn’t mind that doing my own hair daily is not a high-​priority for me right now, so she works with that in mind. Totally personable and wonderful; Kim’s your gal!

Candice is my stylist and I have followed her to about 4 or 5 different salons. She is my hair guru. I love what she does to my hair and makes it awesome every time I go in there. I would never let anyone else touch my hair but her. She also cuts my daughter’s hair too and is great w kids.

Shine is a little salon in Green Hills. It is really sleek, calm, and welcoming inside and the staff was really sweet. I went to see Candie and couldn’t be happier with my hair! I get pretty nervous about my hair and she cut it to look healthy but didn’t take off any length! And the color was the best I’ve ever had. I had a process done called Flamboyage, which is exclusive to davines color (the brand they carry) and my hair looks naturally lightened and sun kissed. I will never go back to regular highlights again!

Heck, Peter just brought me lunch back when he went to get his… AND sweet Suzanne treated! My hair’s BFF is Jessica. She always translates my color babble into the perfect tone and hue for my hair. Jacqueline has done the keratin treatments for me in the past… No more bad hair days in the humid summers with the express keratin blowout. Love, love, love Shine!

Very trained, technical stylists here and I would recommend any of them… mostly because I’ve had my hair cut by most of the gals over there. It seems they all have their own little specialty.

Shine Salon is a wonderful salon! Each stylist truly cares about each client at his/​her chair. The best part is you can replicate the style at home.
Susanne Post, owner and hairstylist, is excellent with color and haircuts. She has a unique cutting style that can tackle even the thickest haired client.
Sarah Shepard is awesome with haircuts and listening to clients. At our first appointment, I was nervous and had brought pictures. I was thrilled that it really looked like the picture! Sarah is also a master at blowouts.
Jaclyn is the leading lady in keratin hair treatments. Jaclyn was one of the few stylists using this treatment on clients. I get this service frequently and it cuts my drying time into half. She is an expert!
I recently went to Jessica and talked to her about changing my hair color. Again, I brought pictures and she did an amazing job. It was glossy and rich color with natural looking highlights.

This is without a doubt the BEST salon in Nashville! I typically go to Roger when I’m in town, but I have also been to Suzanne, both of which are AMAZING! every single time I go in there it is the best experience! You most certainly get what you pay for!

Confident stylists. No rookies. Professionals, yet Real People who know hair… in a neighborhood I like to play in. Don’t go here if you are a fussy fart price buyer. It’s true, you get what you pay for.

Though my haircut was good, I don’t know if it was worth the price.
I wanted to get something new, and I’ve never had my hair done in Nashville, so I chose Shine based on the Nashville Scene Readers’ Poll. Shine is located in an outdoor shopping center near Green Hill mall. The décor inside is simple and sleek.
My hair stylist was Crystal. She was friendly, and not overly talkative. I knew I wanted my hair shorter, maybe a bob, but I told her to do what she thought would look best. As an aside, I was somewhat surprised to find that the hair stylists all wash their clients hair. Crystal was very precise and took her time making sure the cut was even. I wouldn’t quite call it a bob, but because I was vague, that’s fine. In the end, I was pretty satisfied with the cut, though now knowing it put me back $ 85 (not including tip), I’m not sure it was totally worth it.
I bet you could get a similiar cut for a much cheaper price tag in Nashville.
