Friendly and fast service. Pork bbq was a bit over-sauced coming out, slaw decent and hushpuppies were a little old, but no big deal, still ok. This is a good option if you are not nearby a proper mom and pop bbq joint and just need to get ‘er done.

The food is never consistent. One time the BBQ is really hot, sometimes mild and sometimes not hot at all. The seafood is way over cooked to the point of being hard to chew. Their chicken is much better and they do have excellent service.

I mean it’s a chain place so you can’t expect Sullivan’s downtown Raleigh. However the BBQ is great, love the sauce and this location is very very clean. Customer service is outstanding. What the south is about.

Just got home from this restaurant-17 miles away and they had forgotten my slaw for a broke down BBQ sandwich. I even confirmed it twice with the drive thru girl. Really! 2nd time in 2 weeks they’ve left something off my order. Definitely check your bag in the drive thru. Tried calling the number listed and it gives a quick ring. Almost like there’s trouble on the line. Go to Doug Sauls instead! They never forget stuff

What service! What food! I have visited this location about three times when I drive home from Virginia. Every time I go, the experience is great! They great you the second you walk in the door, you order your food, they bring it to you. While you are eating they check on you at least two times. They will refill your drinks, and they clean off the table when you are done! Service many 5-star restaurants strive for! Then the food! I love the fried chicken and hush puppies here, but I have also had the bbq! Everything is outstanding! I love it here and will continue to come here whenever I can! Absolutely outstanding!

After eating here tonight, I decided to write my first ever Unilocal review. We ordered a regular BBQ dinner plate, a dark chicken snack, and a combination shrimp/BBQ dinner. The BBQ was bone dry with an overpowering taste of chili flakes. The Brunswick stew was bland(could’ve used a little of those chili flakes that were dumped in the BBQ, maybe?). The slaw was nothing to write home about… meh. Same for the hush puppies. But the shrimp… the shrimp is the main reason I’m sitting here trying to decide how to best describe just how HORRIBLE they were. Salt. Never have I eaten fried shrimp that tasted as though someone accidentally dropped an open container of table salt into the batter. I realize I ordered seafood inland, so I went into this with low expectations… but how hard is it to throw some shrimp into the same batter you use for hush puppies and fry them up? Evidently it’s darn near impossible. This was one of the biggest wastes of $ 27 and some change I’ve had the misfortune of losing on a meal.

The bbq is dry at this location. The staff is super friendly though. Check out Doug Sauls in Nashville. They are much better.
