Smoothie was good, but none of the four employees could be bothered to say hi to me. Stood for a few minutes while they ignored me until I finally asked«may I please order» and the employee closest didn’t even respond. Finally one person asked if I wanted to order and told me I had to go wait on the other side of the counter. Really? There isn’t anyone else in line! No thank you, no smile, no eye contact, just swiped my card and handed me a receipt. I was a server for five years, and interacting with customers is not only a crucial part of the food business, it’s just proper manners and being a decent person. Clearly I will not be returning.

Can’t beat the Ed’s Special! I love the staff and the location. It is always nice to walk in and have someone remember you name and your order. Such a healthy treat in a timely manner!

When I lived in Chicago, Jamba Juice was my go-to smoothie joint. It definitely wasn’t the best, but there was one a block away from my office building. When I moved here to find out there weren’t any, I wasn’t too pleased, having had numerous smoothie let downs at cafes before. Then Smoothie King happened. Faith restored. Jamba Juice, beware! I don’t know what they do to these smoothies, but the few I’ve had are like crack. I usually opt for the small as a snack, but I always regret not getting a larger size. The prices are very reasonable, ingredients are fresh. My most recent visit was around 9:30 on a weekday morning, and there was hardly a line. The nice girl working was also patient with me as I read the list of fruits in every single drink before deciding what I wanted. My only regret is that there isn’t one closer to my apartment.

From a first hand experience this place is great. I go here at least twice a week. The staff is always courteous and helpful. If they could only replace those horrible tasting protein bars they sell with Oh Yeah bars I’d raise the mark to 5 stars. It’s the only smoothie king I’ve been to that will stray from their corporate menu and let you design your own smoothie.

I used to work at the Publix on Harding Pike, so the evening staff at this Smoothie King started to know me by name.(Or was it because I was always in my uniform complete with name badge?) Whatever the case may be, everyone’s so friendly here! Even if they push the enhancers on you, it’s just their job.
