State of the art equipment and all for $ 9.99? An absolute steal.
I will always make this a must place to stop. The shampoo are high quality and dispensed via the hose. No fumbling with a bottle.
Air dryers are fast.
Great place and services.

It’s time to put the arrogant people at Spot’s in their place. If you’ve ever seen the famous «No soup for you» episode of Seinfeld, you’re familiar with the concept of a manager who thinks a little too highly of himself and freely bans people from a business if he doesn’t like them. That’s exactly how Spot’s is managed.
Not only are they overpriced, but they always do a hack job on their grooming and when you walk in to pick up your dog, they ask, «How much tip would you like to leave?» before you’ve even seen your dog.
How self-​entitled do you have to be to openly ask someone for a tip, as if it’s required? Tips are something you leave as a bonus, when someone has done a good job. Spot’s never does a good job, and why would I ever leave a tip before seeing our dog?
The only reason we’ve tolerated this bad business is because they were the closest one to our house. We were willing to overlook poor grooming skills and poor service in exchange for convenience.
As far as what happened yesterday, due to a mix-​up in their office, which was their fault, they kept our dog for 5 hours before they even started grooming her. She was finally ready for pick-​up after 7 hours. She hadn’t eaten lunch and the poor thing was exhausted and starving by the time she got home. We do not want our dog treated this way.
My husband went to pick her up and he was upset. Not angry – not ranting or raving or yelling – just upset. You know, like a normal human being. He told the woman at the front desk that he didn’t understand why it takes 7 hours to groom a dog. That’s when Devin, the manager, came out and started giving my husband attitude. He tried to act like 7 hours is no big deal and then turned the tables on my husband, trying to make him feeling bad for complaining.
This is no way to treat a customer. Clearly Spot’s had messed up. They should have apologized and offered a refund. They did not. So my husband said he would be writing a review on Unilocal to let people know how he’d been treated.
«That’s fine, we have plenty of great reviews,» Devin said.
Then he wrote «WILL NOT RETURN» on our dog’s file and told my husband not to come back. Are you kidding me? We were banished from the store for saying 7 hours is too long to keep a dog!
No, no, no. This is not how managers are supposed to treat customers. When the customer has a bad experience, you tell them that you’re sorry, and you say you hope they will consider coming back and giving them another try. You say, «Request me next time you’re here, and I will personally make sure you have a smoother experience. And there will be no charge for today’s visit.»
That’s how managers are supposed to treat customers. That is how you run a successful business that puts the customer first, above your own ego.
And most importantly – don’t keep a dog for 7 hours! Grooming is stressful for dogs. 7 hours is excessive.
When my husband got home and told me this, I couldn’t believe a manager would treat him this way. And our dog was worn out. So I called Devin to hear the story myself.
Sure enough, Devin did the same thing. He acted like my husband was at fault for being upset that they’d kept our dog for 7 hours. And then he told me he didn’t want us to come back.
Thanks, Devin. I assure you we won’t.

I booked a time to have my dog groomed on their website. The morning of her appointment I received an appointment confirmation text message as well as a second text message stating «See you soon». I dropped her off at 8:45am and gave instructions to the employee who took her on the type of cut we wanted for our dog. At 1:52pm I called to see if our dog was ready to be picked up and spoke with Devin who told me he had been calling me several times to find out what kind of cut he should do. After I again told him the kind of cut we wanted he told me it would be about another hour. After about 2 hours had gone by I again had not heard from them and called to be told it would be about another 5 minutes. When I got to the store I asked to speak with Devin, who was the groomer and apparently is the manager, and asked why it takes 7 hours to groom a dog. He stated he did not have instructions and apparently had the wrong phone number and was leaving voice messages on someone else’s phone (even though my number was correct in their system). Apparently the employee that filled out the sheet wrote the number down wrong and Devin didn’t bother checking in his system to make sure he had the correct number. He said I should have been better at communicating with them. He also told me that our dog had been finished for an hour. Wait, an hour? I just called 10 minutes ago and was told she would be done in about 5 minutes. Hmmm
When I told him I would be writing a Unilocal review he replied, «That’s fine, we have great reviews.» He did nothing to try and make the situation right or even apologize for their lack of accuracy or communication.
Our dog’s cut was ok, pretty uneven actually, and not nearly as short as I had requested. The search for a decent groomer continues. Or at least one that is much better at customer service.

Great selection of high quality foods, the groomers do a great job, and a nice selection of treats, shampoos, leashes, and other things.

We just got to town and needed a DIY pet wash for our two big pups. Spot’s Pet Supply & Dog Wash was perfect, the staff was extremely friendly, and VERY helpful. I always feel bad because our dane drools so much, but the staff was patient and understanding with her during our time there. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that from store owners because a lot of the time, they don’t really understand or offer help. One of the employees (who looked like she was fixing to leave for lunch) even took the time to run and grab me a few paper towels for our pup and she certainly didn’t have to do that. We had a great experience and will certainly be back for washes and supplies. Thanks y’all for being so great to us!

I rescued a filthy dog yesterday evening. I was so elated to see that The Spot was open until 8 PM. I had never been but feel in love after one time. It was so much easier than washing my dogs in the shower!
You have a choice between 4 shampoos plus they have little hand massagers to use for scrubbing, ear cleaner, teeth cleaner, and eye protectant. Plus you can choose between between towel drying or they’re awesome high power dryer or both if you wish!
The young guy working was extremely helpful and super sweet with this scared, little rescue. He also said there may be a new one coming to Green Hills! Great business. I will definitely return with this rescued baby plus my dogs.

I brought my dog here to be groomed for the first time and it was an overall great experience. Holland was loving and sweet toward my pup and friendly/​personable toward me when discussing what I wanted. Perhaps by a misunderstanding, I didn’t get exactly what I asked for done, but it was close. With a bit more explanation next time, I think I will make this our regular place! I found the price to be fair, too, compared to what I’m used to.

I really love this place, especially the DIY dog wash. I have taken my german shepherds there multiple times and the owner and staff have been extremely accommodating and helpful. They are even sweet to my kids who come with me to help.
The DIY dog was is a fabulous deal and you can choose from a couple of different shampoos and treatments. The DIY wash is good for both large and small animals and seems very safe.
The only reason I gave the store 4 stores is the pricing on food/​toys/​accessories. I don’t fault them for charging what they do – in fact, I support it. Small businesses are good for the neighborhood and the selection at Spot’s is decent. Just with such big dogs, I can’t spend much on a toy that will last a day. And since they eat SO much, I often have to shop around for quality products at a very low price.
Overall, yes… I’m a fan. :)

Nice open layout, brightly lit, and very well stocked. Manager of the store was super knowledgeable. I was looking for some specific dog treats (whose name I had forgotten), some dog fresh breath water additive, and a specific type of dog food… and she knew exactly what I was talking about, even though I necessarily didn’t. I was in and out in five minutes. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic service. Took my dog, Thor (a shih-​poo), for grooming on 6÷24÷14 and had a wonderful experience. Great value. Half of the price one of the Petsmart groomers were going to charge (AVOID corporate/​big-​box groomers) and Kellie did a terrific job. The personal attention and face to face explanations are what makes the service stand out. I will be a repeat customer.

Great assortment of treats and dog food. Very helpful staff, directed me to doggie treats that my guys would enjoy. Definitely will shop here for my pet needs.

I used to groom dogs at Petsmart. One busy day, I dropped her off at petsmart for just a bath and they BOTCHED her tail– using a raking brush– which REMOVES hair… On her TAIL. It looked like Charlie browns Christmas tree!!! Do they not educate their bathers?
Anyhow– the hair and bath cleanup became too much at home so I took Olivia here for her bath. Their dog bathing facility is that of a top of the line groomers! And, it’s really affordable! The owner is super awesome, and now I don’t have to deal with gobs of hair in my drains at home! Yay for high powered dryers and great shampoos on site! Reasonable dog supplies, too. Praises!

You know the story of the Goldilocks and The Three Bears?
My point is, some pet supply shops are too big (hello big box retailers PetsMart + Petco) and some are too small (excuse me, sorry, didn’t mean to bump into you and oh, you don’t carry that?) but here comes the new pup in town — Spot’s Pet Supply!
Actually, I should say that Chad Baker –proprietor of Spot’s Pet Supply is actually not «new» as he has successfully operated sister business — The Dog Spot, for a few years now. It’s super convenient that both of these spots are located across the street from one another too.
I have gotten to know Chad over the years as he co-​chaired a Nashville Humane Association event named Unleashed with me last year and is ALWAYS (literally always) giving back to the community and with special attention to animal shelters, rescues, and welfare groups, and more. That is reason enough for me to give his businesses my support and hard earned dollars!
Besides the philanthropy and convenience of location, this recently opened shop boasts tons of options for dog food, treats, collars, leashes, toys, beds, apparel, gift items, hygiene products, and even a kitty corner! The layout is spacious and easy to maneuver through. There is helpful signage in the organized space but always a helpful staff member to guide you along if Chad or his brother Andy aren’t on site. (which is rare)
The prices are competitive and I really appreciate that Chad welcomes feedback on product lines and such. My dogs have been enjoying vegan dog food V-​dog for quite some time and love it so Chad has reached out to the brand to inquire if he can carry the product in his store. Now, that’s what I call service, folks…
Throw in the fact that they have an adorable DIY Dog Wash area in the back complete with floating rubber duckies hanging from the ceiling and also professional dog grooming services available by appointment and you have pretty much anything you need to ensure that you favorite furry friend’s tail is wagging!

This place couldn’t be any more adorable if it tried. A local pet store catering to only the best for your four legged babies, Spot’s is a gem out in East Nashville that should be your first stop over PetSmart or other large and cold pet shops. Organic treats, real healthy eating options, friendly owners… this place is truly wonderful. You will pay a bit more but what you’re paying for are real healthy options to better the life and health of your pet… and let’s face it, most of us love our pups and kitties more than people half the time. With so much garbage in the usual store pet grub, a place like Spot’s stands out as a better option to provide your little furry ones with what they truly deserve — a healthy diet, great toys, and fantastic snacks. I will be coming back here considering how fast the treats I brought home were devoured by my little guy. And think of it as spending a little more on good food and long life over vet bills for poor health. Spot’s is what we as Nashvillians should rally behind, local shops catering to what matters most to us.

What a great place! I had the pleasure of meeting the gang over at Spot’s this week during the Tiny But Mighty Launch Party.
A clean pet store? That doesn’t smell like pets? Surely not. But lo! It’s true. Spot’s Pet Supply is more immaculate than most homes I’ve cleaned. Little Henry the Beagle Pup piddled on his way out? No worries, here comes staff with a mop! That’s what we call ON TOP OF IT, people, and that’s what I like to see!
Spot’s inventory offers a great selection of mid-​to-​high grade pet products. They offer some of the nicest food and accessories I’ve seen and everything is organized in a great, accessible way. «Throw Me», «Bite Me», etc. The only thing I would love is a more diverse cat section, but if you’ve figured out how to please a cat, you deserve more than your own store. #NobelPeacePrize

I am so very excited to see this store open up on the East Side! I’ve been itching to get a more varied local pet store in my neighborhood for a long time. Although Wags and Whiskers is nice, they are very specialized. I came in on Black Friday to get a collar for my pooch, and ended up leaving with a very comfortable harness that he absolutely loves, and a great first impression.
The store has the variety I desired while not overwhelming the customer like the big box pet retailers. I saw some things that I’m seriously considering purchasing for my two pets, the dog wash looks spectacular, and I loved seeing the most trusted and wholesome brands on the shelves. One of the owners sold me the harness and was incredibly gracious about returns in case the harness didn’t fit my dog, who is awkwardly sized for his weight. I didn’t end up having to exchange it, but the help was welcomed.
TL;DR — Small town manners with variety and modern amenities.

So excited to have this store on the east side! So much to offer your furry friends! Various types of dog food, treats, toys and a large array of chew items for the breeds that need it! Dog beds, clothes, leashes, collars, dog food dishes, kong toys, shampoo, pet wipes, outdoor stakes with leashes attached, and even special items for dogs that suffer from anxiety. There’s a cat corner too! Don’t forget the self-​service dog baths in the back of the store. The store leaves you no reason to shop at the large chain stores, shop local and shop here! Very clean and excellent customer service.

This place is great! It has everything I need for my sweet puppy at very competitive prices. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they truly care about their customers! I love having a place to take my dog for a bath so I don’t have to make a mess in my house. What a great addition to East Nashville!
