The Violin Shop and The Fiddle House (they’re the same company now) offers the best products, repair, and service of any shop I’ve encountered. Both are extremely fiddle player friendly, which is extremely rare in violin shops. These guys are the best.

We stopped in at The Fiddle House while on vacation. This was a neat place with gorgeous instruments and Brandon gave us a lot of great recommendations and we got to see him play later that night at The Station Inn!

My friend asked me to attend a concert at the Fiddle House and I had never heard of this venue before. We were going to see Brittany Haas and Lauren Rioux perform with their violin, viola, and banjo!
The Fiddle House is a venue found only in the heart of East Nashville. Located in a house turned acoustic string shop in 5 Points, it was very easy to find and when we entered the front door, you already felt welcome. Brian greeted us warmly and informed us that we could sign up for the various newsletters as well as partake in the appetizers they had laid out for us! It was completely unexpected and a really nice touch to the entire experience. The offered cheese, crackers, grapes, wine, and water.
40 seats were lined up but many guests were left standing as it was a packed house! The performers were at the front of the room and stood at the same level as all the guests. The show was intimate, fun, and interactive! We joined in and sang with the gals toward the end of the concert.
Though the space is tight, the bathroom was very spacious. During intermission, you could go outside on their side deck which was a great space to use for the summer. The walls are lined with violins, bows, and framed vintage photos from the Grand Olé Opry among other locations that you could purchase.
I would definitely return here because of what the shop/​venue has to offer. The friendliness, musical guests, and the experience of this type of concert venue will not be found anywhere else.
If you haven’t checked it out, do so soon! Their one year anniversary is coming up on March 24, 2012 and they will be having Fiddle Birthday Cake! :)
