Ty’s Soups and Sandwiches

Amazing chicken salad! And the friendliest staff! Owner stayed opened for 15 minutes after closing to allow me to work out a credit card issue. The tortilla soup is out of this world, the perfect amount of spice. It’s a tiny little shop with no indoor seating but if you are on the go, this is a great place for something delicious and fast

Hidden gem is a great description for this place — I actually work in the building next door for about a year and hadn’t noticed it. Had a friend ask enthusiastically if I had been when they realized I worked so close. Tried it out today and will definitely be going back.
Got chicken salad sandwich and chicken queso soup at the suggestion of the guy working there. It’s awesome — get it !! Chicken salad is great as well. They even had a good selection of healthier side chips and an array of drink choices.
The customer service was awesome, the guy working was so nice (apparently the owner according to other reviews) and answered all my questions.
My question is — why doesn’t this show up as a lunch place on Unilocal when you look at nearby restaurants?!! Looking @ you Unilocal.
I looked up Ty’s to write this review and the app asked if I was looking for «toys». Great way to stay a hidden gem I suppose

The food is amazing. The service is even better. I wish I could eat there everyday. The food never gets old.

My first visit today and definitely not my last! Chicken queso soup and homemade cookies were amazing! Very, very friendly service. Made me feel like a regular, which I intend to be. Even though downtown is typically crazy with guests on a Friday, this little hidden gem had me in and out in minutes!

Lunch here two days in a row! The Chicken Queso soup is amazing. Very great service and swift. Don’t be alarmed by the line, the food is good and they move fast! Fresh and delicious!

In town for a conference and found this place. It was delicious and cost effective. Absolutely delicious.

Great place for a quick lunch with a cozy, sunny outdoor seating area. Had some excellent veggie beef soup — and as a Yankee, I don’t often see fried bologna sandwiches on the specials menu!

Ty’s is a wonderful hidden gem in downtown Nashville. Great to grab a quick bite on a busy day! Soups, sandwiches, and side salads are the building blocks of their menu. Their soups are excellent. Their side salads are pre-​made in the mornings, but are always fresh and tasty! The price is right (under $ 8 for a cup of soup and a side salad). The entire staff has a friendly hello each time you stop in.
The service is quick and the food is of high quality. Their vegetable beef soup is my favorite. Pair it with their fresh made cornbread, and you have a great meal! They also offer fresh made sandwiches. You can choose from one of their selections or build your own.
I can’t say enough great things about Ty’s. Anyone who works downtown should give it a try.

Amazing experience. The best chicken salad I’ve ever had. I also tasted several of the soups… all of them were over the top delicious. However, the white bean soup was heavenly. I wished I lived in Nashville I would frequent Ty’s Soup and Sandwiches several times a week. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

The quinoa salad is off the chain good! This place is a good find and would recommend to anyone going to Nashville. Amazing

OUTSTANDING! Simple yet extensive menu. Very fresh food. Like they went out back to their own private garden and picked the food as we ordered. Very reasonable. Great location and Ty is super friendly. Tomato bisque soup was excellent. First time there but definitely not our last.

This place is a little downtown gem! I like to stop by for the soup (which does not taste like it came from box or can) when its two degrees in my office. They also have trendy/​healthy quinoa and kale type salads in the cold case for under $ 3. Um, STEAL. I don’t think I can make it at home for that little. Only open lunch hours (like every place downtown it seems) but if you work down here you should try it out! The owner actually works the counter, if you like to support local you can’t get any more small business!

Locally owned and operated!!! I love this place is my new favorite lunch spot they have a great Philly cheesesteak and even better soups!!! It’s a whole in the wall spot on 4^th and church their chicken con queso soup is amazing!!! But then again so I all of their soups the even have homemade dressing like cranberry vinaigrette for the salads! Must try!

I love this place! The soups are divine! I love the chicken and dumplings and the potatoe. And if you really feel like treating yourself, get a piece of their chess pie. It will not disappoint!

It is difficult to make good soup. It is easy to forget this in our age of things in cans and cups that we pop in the microwave.
Ty’s has figured this out. To perfection.
It is no exaggeration to say that I have not had soup as good as I get at Ty’s. I have had their chili, a couple of the cheese-​based soups (the potato is excellent), and the veggie beef. This last is my absolute favorite, particularly with the great cornbread.
It is a small place with no inside seating; there are tables outside, though, and it’s a great place to hang out. I have not had their sandwiches, but hear good things about them. I have had their salad and fruit salads, both of which are excellent.
