AJ Rose Carpet & Flooring

Redid my basement (with stairs) and master bedroom. Sales helped me pick out the right carpet and were very accommodating in bringing samples home. Installation went very smoothly. It was a big job. Two guys worked 7 hours straight to get the job done and came out great.

Sales and installation were great. I replaced basement family room carpet.

After I painted my finished basement we realized that the old carpet looked horrible.
We went to A.J. Rose and Andrew assisted us. He gave us wonderful choices for our basement and the choices were affordable.
On the day of installation the guys showed up and did a wonderful job. The carpet and padding is lovely.

We just replaced our carpet in 2 bedrooms. From choosing our carpet, placing the order, and installation, everything was great. Very professional, polite, and efficient.

An awesome experience from start to finish. The staff (especially Andrew) was helpful and never pushy. I had a few companies come out and measure the area, and AJ Rose was the most careful and accurate — a competitor quoted 20% more square footage than AJ Rose! The installation crew did an expert job, and even took some time to repair minor damage that was discovered when they pulled the old rug up. AJ Rose is awesome. Great staff. Fair dealings. Expert installation.

We bought new flooring at the Natick location. The salesman was very helpful and even gave us a discount so we could be within our budget. The installation was extremely professional. They really took the time to make sure that our new floor was perfect. We highly recommend AJ Rose for your flooring needs!

We bought our carpet at the Burlington location. The sales rep was very helpful, we made our choice, but went home with a sample to be sure before ordering the carpet. Once ordered, the carpet was in within a matter of a few days, and installation was scheduled within a few more days. The installers were quick, neat, professional, and we could not be happier with the outcome.

I admire great customer service. I recommend and brag about companies that deliver great customer service and AJ Rose is one of those companies. I just had a rug installed and a week later I found a little discoloration in the fabric right in birds eye view. I called my salesperson Mike and he responded immediately. The trouble shooting department is coming out first thing and looking at the issue to fix or replace it. So far, I do admit that I am very impressed and I do not get impressed easily these days with companies. A family owned company is key to success and so far they delivery. Thank you.

Visited the Natick store and they were very helpful in finding us a carpet. Install went smooth and the carpet looks great. Top notch job all around from the AJ Rose team.

I do believe in second chances, and I love a company that take care of their customers. after giving this company a three stars, which I didn’t think was bad, the owner himself, went out of his way to make sure I got a second cleaning free of charge and believe me it was not easy to get in touch with me. The cleaners were professional and welcoming. I love this company’s dedication. he now have a customer for life. He didn’t have to offered a free cleaning service, honestly, just for trying for weeks to get in touch with me. would have made me a customer for life but I am glad they did. my carpet looks like new, stains are gone. they did a great job. I am only one person, who gave a company a three stars for doing a decent job but he made me feel like a billion, like my review was the only one that matters. Great job. Thank you for taking care of your customers. sears and Stanley’s are out of my phone book for good.

Terrible Service
Visited the Natick store yesterday with a very specific task. I am doing a major rehabilitation of a well known historic mansion that was worked over very badly in the 1950’s. I walked in with historic photos and actual examples of what i was looking for in carpets and linoleum. I also needed pricing for comparison in the clients decision making process.
When i entered the store i noticed i was the only customer in there and the woman seated at the desk asked if she could help. I explained the situation to her and showed her what i was looking for. I got the feeling that i was bothering her.
Linoleum: I showed her an example of a specific linoleum that i had already had a quote from them over the phone. I was looking for pricing of other similar products to take to the client explaining that i already looked at another specific brand and needed a quote. She blurts out «about 6 bucks a foot».
Then hands me a box of the other product and said «look through here».
The box was a product that wasn’t even close and «6 bucks a foot» was not what i needed to bring back to the client.
Carpet: I had photos of specific carpet i told the woman that i wanted as options for the client if we could not get the original reproduced in time. She pointed me towards the wool carpet area and told me that she would be at her desk as she had alot of work to do.
Professionalism, customer service and product knowledge was at an all time low on this day… will head somewhere else.

Overall it was a good experience. Everyone in the process was very professional, courteous, and friendly to deal with. There was no pressure. Andrew was patient in showing us all they had and was willing to work within our budget. The only reason I am giving a four star was because they sent only two people to install. The installation took 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The installers were exhausted by the time they were done. They told me that one of them did not show up in the morning. I could see that they were trying to cut corners. I had to point out a few things. I feel the transition regions between the rooms and the hallway could have been a little better. I feel if they had sent another person the installation could have been flawless.

visited the Burlington store at the weekend with a photo of the type/​style/​color of rug we were looking for.
older gentleman glanced at it, then said, «Oh I don’t know what we have in stock, you’ll have to search through yourselves.»
didn’t bother to come back over to ask if we had found anything we liked or advise.
Really? your selling rugs and don’t know what products you have?
Good customer service is non existent here. I wont return.

My family and I have purchased many carpets from AJ Rose, mainly because they have a good selection and their Natick location is convenient for me. I also have been able to find a wide price range to fit my various needs over the years.
I have never cared for the installers who were sent as they seemed to rush through and we had a few issues with two of the carpets that were installed. The issues were not major (seams separating/​fraying, carpet not «stretched» well, etc) but we continued to shop there as the pros still seemed to outweigh the cons.
A few months ago, I purchased an area rug for my son’s room. When I picked it up and got it home, I realized they cut the wrong carpet for me. I figured it was just a miscommunication, and brought it back for exchange. The store manager offered to have the rug I originally wanted cut for the same price even though it was slightly higher priced than the one I actually paid for. When I brought the re-​made rug home, I realized they gave me the original incorrect rug back again, so I drove back to the store for the third time to pick up the rug (45 minutes from where I live). The manager was very apologetic and offered me a discount if I was ever in need of any other items from the store.
I decided to give them another chance and purchased another rug for a family member’s house. As promised, I received an approx 10% discount. That is the only positive thing that happened during this experience. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The store manager himself, Andrew, helped me with the sale, and could not have provided worse customer service. Simple things like getting a timely quote, accurate copy of the sales receipt and nailing down an installation time window (I received five different times in total, and none of them were when the crew actually showed up) seemed to be incredibly difficult for the staff here to handle. The installers also hacked up the walls way, way more than what you might reasonably expect during a carpet installation. They even cracked a brick on the fireplace. I had to repaint all of the baseboards after they left.
I would not recommend AJ Rose. Their customer service has really declined and their staff remind me of stereotypical used car salespeople… completely full of crap. AJ Rose has lost a large family of customers who have given them a lot of business over the years.

We had a wonderful experience. We were looking for new carpets for our four bedrooms. They helped us narrow down our selection and were very respectful of our price range. They weren’t pushy and gave us plenty of space. The location was very convenient. The installation was great. They were on time and worked straight thru (no lunch) until they were finished. I would definitely recommend!

We had a small job, just a runner up a flight of stairs. In the store, the staff were very helpful. They gave us the information we needed to look but kept a respectful distance while we browsed. Once we found some candidates, we were given samples and pricing. We took the samples home, decided, and were able to phone back to complete the order. Someone came to measure, and the job was scheduled for several days later. The installation was done well, and the installer was very communicative. He asked questions along the way to make sure the job was done the way we wanted. Overall an excellent experience with not a single complaint.

We had about 100 sq ft of linoleum installed in our new bathroom, and it looks great. The salespeople at the showroom were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but Max, the installer, was the standout. He was polite, warm, accommodating, and very professional, showed up on time and finished on time. I will look no further for our next flooring needs.

We bought laminate flooring and everything seemed to go smooth at first. Helpful and friendly sales staff. The independent contractor measured the space in a timely manner and sent the instructions to AJ Rose
This is where communication broke down and our timeline was not met. We were told installing within 2weeks would not be a problem.
In any case don’t expect competent follow up after the sale. On a positive note the installer and installation were wonderful. We love the look of our new floor.

We just used them for carpet cleaning. They did a great job. The cleaning technician Carlos was very professional and made some great suggestions on how to care for our carpets.

Our office recently had our carpets cleaned by AJ Rose Carpets & Flooring and we were very impressed.
We have about 3000 square feet in a corporate building just outside of Boston. There are cubicles and desks covering most of the area and even a ping pong table with a few couches. On the day of the cleaning, we were able to move most of it into a separate hallway, but there were still a few things that needed to be rearranged.
The cleaners got here exactly on time and even helped us move what was left. They got right to work and removed the dirt and dust from the carpets with their cleaning machines. Very fast and efficient.
At the end of the cleaning, they helped us move things back even though they weren’t obligated to. Great guys, great service. I would recommend them to any office looking to give their carpets a nice refresh.
