Ordering online — YEP! Quick delivery — YEP! Affordable — YEP! Food quality — good enough! We order from here regularly and I really enjoy the menu — they have rice noodles which most Chinese places don’t have and happens to be a favorite of mine.

Check your bill! We ordered $ 38.85 worth of food and were charged $ 41.75 plus tax. When I asked about the difference on the phone when placing the order, they said that I probably have an old menu. I thought, fine, no big deal. But when I went in to pick up my food, I asked for a new menu and learned that the one I have is the current menu. When I asked about the price difference, they blamed it on the computer! The $ 3 difference isn’t a big deal, but I can’t handle dishonesty! Double-check and don’t let them get away with secretly charging you more than you owe!

Have gone there for years. The quality has seriously deteriorated. Ordered 4 lunches and the General Tso was so hard that we could not chew it. Our crab rangoon had very little stuffing and it has changed. Lots of green stuff in it, tasted little cheese. I will not go back.

We’re lucky enough to be right around the corner from this place. We’ve tried Chinese takeout at every place within driving distance, and some that are even a town or two away and Joy Luck keeps us coming back. The flavors are always on point and we get exactly what we ask for every time.

I think the food at Joy Lucks is great. They put less sugar in a couple selections for me when I Asked and the food was still very good. My husband tries soups at different Chinese Restaurants where ever we happen to be. He said the won ton soup broth at Joy Lucks is the best he’s had anywhere! We’ll continue to go there when we can.

I ordered takeout from Joy Luck last Wednesday, what I thought was a lunch special and unfortunately my experience with this establishment was less than satisfactory. I called in and asked about their lunch specials because there was nothing on their online menu that specified the lunch specials. The man I spoke to suggested Chicken Fried Rice and then told me I could pick an appetizer so I chose crab rangoon. He told me it would be 8.95 plus tax. The delivery guy arrived I saw the check and my head nearly exploded, 14.25 I gave him a 2 dollar tip and then I called Joy Luck to ask why it was so high. The man then proceeded to tell me there was an extra charge for the chicken and because the combo I chose wasn’t a regular one they offer they added another surcharge. I was very upset on the phone because no one had ever told me this, he had suggested this to me and told me the total without talking about the surcharge. A woman then came on the line, presumably the manager and told me this charge was for chicken and the crab rangoon I then proceeded to tell her exactly what transpired during the order, he had suggested it, he had never told me about additional fees. I would have gotten pork fried rice if that’s the case. I told her I wanted a refund of two dollars, she said ok. Today is Tuesday the charges cleared and its 16.25(including tip). Unprofessional, and though the food was decent Ill never go again simply because of the way I was treated. For my first time there I was hoping for a decent experience. Krua Thai down the street is better and they actually put their lunch specials on their menu and don’t overcharge you.

This place is so much better than its predecessor, Three Gorges. The food always seems fresh, the veggies are never overcooked, and they have a quick turnaround time for takeout and delivery. We’ve had the orange chicken, general Gau’s, boneless spare ribs, and wonton soup, and all have been very good.

New owner, a former three gorges worker, has improved on a good thing, making the standard Chinese dishes along with a few innovations, a bit fresher and with a bit more attention to execution. Particularly like the large steamed dumplings, dishes with garlic and ginger use fresh ingredients. Good value, especially for lunch. Although note much of a place for dining in, the new owner has tastefully spruced up the place.

Joy Luck is my go to place for takeout and delivery. The food is as good as it get for traditional chinese. They have many excellent spicy dishes as well. Our favorite are crab rangoon and spring roll apetizers.

Pro: The prices are accurate and the food is yummy. Classic chinese but a bit tastier(not as flat) if you know what I mean. Con: I wound not recommended dining in here. They do not regulate the temperature in the seating area and during the winter I cold see my breath inside while I was waiting for my food. It was unbearable. Order takeout ahead of time.

We were really disappointed in our dinner, unfortunately… We ordered delivery, which came in about 40 minutes to the West Natick area, so that was pretty good. I ordered the steamed vegetables and my husband ordered the General Tao’s chicken. I was so disappointed to open the vegetables and see that they were literally just plain steamed vegetables– no sauce.(Although I will say that they were steamed well.) Maybe I shouldn’t have assumed that sauce would be provided, but if you’re going to list something as an entrée, shouldn’t it be something that you would be satisfied with on its own, without needing to order anything additional? So I grabbed some teriyaki sauce that we happened to have in the cabinet, thank god, but obviously if I pay $ 9 for a dish, I hope it would not need to be supplemented with something from my kitchen. My husband said that his chicken was okay– nothing wrong with it, but he wouldn’t order from here again and got a bit of a stomach ache afterwards. Two entrees and a large rice, with tax, tip, and the delivery fee, was $ 35, which for a good meal is a pretty fair price but for this was too much. :(

Big improvement over 3 Gorges: we’ve ordered 3 times now and each order was very good: — truly spicy if you ask — very good hot & sour soup — fresh greens sautéed in garlic & chicken broth — Imperial Couple with plenty of shrimp, scallops & veggies Everything hot on arrival — our new standard delivery in Wayland.

New owner, she is very kind to help your order. She took over the business end of 2013. Food is always just hot enough, even side dishes. They cook taste just your prefer. I asked them don’t put too much sugar, then they do. I recommend Joy Luck for lunch to go. Better pricing than another restaurant this area.

OK, so I was convinced that this«new» establishment was the same owners as the previous occupants«Three Gorges». I have no information to confirm or deny new ownership, but I have confirmed at least one thing… the food is great. We attempted several times to eat at Three Gorges because it was so close by, but we were continuously disappointed with the quality of the food(terrible). Under the new name of «Joy Luck» we have been pleasantly surprised. Joy Luck is American style Chinese food with classic appetizer and entrée favorites like lo mein, dumplings, General Gao, fried rice etc., all of which have been prepared with fresh ingredients and excellent flavor. THere are even some really great menu surprises, such as the chili rock wings and the Joy Luck chicken cutlets. The chili rock wings are very spicy scallion and hot pepper chicken wings that I would say are as good as the ones I get in Chinatown(Vinh Sun). The chicken cutlets are well prepared with panko breadcrumbs, a bit pricy for two thin cutlets, but the soy dipping sauce is absolutely incredible(reminiscent of the special sauce that comes with the chicken tenders at Raising Cain’s, Zaxby’s, or other Southern speciality chicken restaurants). So far, we have found Joy Luck to have excellent quality, freshness, and flavor. Here hoping that this trend continues, regardless of ownership.
