Let’s start with perfection and honesty! If you drive a German car SAVE your money and bring it to the EXPERT! JOE is not just a mechanic but a car lover! Coming from a German background who knows EVERYTHING about foreign cars and soooooo pationate about cars that makes feel you are dealing with a friend and yourself will learn so much from this guy, I owned many German cars and I’ve dealt with many many mechanics in boston and most of them will try to sell you words and lies but when I found this place by chance I’ve never been happier before than I am right now, if you try this place YOU WILL NEVER SEEK ANOTHER MECHANIC AGAIN

I’m torn on 3 or 4 stars. Honestly, my experience is pretty unexciting.
This place used to have a dreadful reputation under the previous owner. They’d recommend all types of unnecessary work. But it’s under new management, it’s close, and I needed a new inspection sticker. So I thought I’d check it out.
I pulled up and they saw me immediately. The waiting room is two plastic chairs, and it smells dreadfully of cigarette smoke. I was only there for about 10 mins, so it wasn’t really a problem.
They passed my car (it’s a 2007 sedan, in case that adds to the review), I paid my $ 35 and drove away.

I took my car here for an inspection sticker in November 2014. I got a rejection sticker, and the man working told me it was because I needed to replace my catalytic converter. He said that it would cost about $ 1000.00 there, but anywhere else it would be closer to $ 1,400.00.
I took my car to the mechanic that my family always uses and told him what I needed. He called me 15 minutes later to tell me that my car was ready– there was nothing at all wrong with my catalytic converter, and all that was wrong was a tiny whole in my exhaust that he was able to fix. That fix cost $ 80. Not only that, but Natick Gas had given me a red rejection sticker (I didn’t know there were even different colored rejection stickers). Red means that you should not be driving the car at all because it’s a safety hazard, and, even if my catalytic converter needed to be replaced, that is NOT a safety hazard.
I do not recommend giving this place any business at all, they are very dishonest. They saw me, a woman who doesn’t know much about cars at all, and tried to take advantage.
