Sassamon Trace Golf Course

A great course to work on different parts of your game, a good short game is a must. While the average golfer is not going to be a scratch golfer the course has, long, short and medium holes. It is always in good shape. The first few holes have a links style feel while the rest have a «farm» land lay out feel or «New England» lay out. A nice course that will challenge you but not make you suffer during your round, not easy not difficult. Great course if you want to fine tune your game.

This course is a short little nine hole spot built on what used to be the Natick landfill. Despite that, you’d never know it.
This greens run fast and the fairways are well maintained. A good value for the money.
The clubhouse for this course is a old trailer converted to look better with cheap tables and a crappy coffee machine. But that doesn’t matter, you’re here to golf.
Good spot of the average amateur golfer.

Fun course to play with a really great staff. The first three and number nine are links style, if you slice on them wave bye bye to your ball. The remaining five holes are along woods and an apple orchard, with a small pond on one of the par threes (there are 5 par three, 2 par four, and 1 par five). A good place to kill two hours.

Overall, a nice little 9hole course, especially for a muni! It’s kept in great condition, and it’s somewhat hidden, which makes it have a much more remote and exclusive feel to it.
The price is a bit steep for a 9 hole, but only by a few dollars. It seems worth it though for the tranquility and relative peace and quiet you enjoy compared to most area 9 hole courses.
The condition of the course is always pretty solid. They do a nice job maintaining and tending to this course, and I have never seen it in disrepair. They also have new hole signs, which gives it an even more professional look.
The layout is pretty nice for a course like this. You have some sweeping, wide open holes, as well as some tight, woodsy-​type holes. The variation is quite nice, and you feel you’re playing on different courses as you meander peacefully through the woods.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their pro-​shop is very spartan and minimal, however their service and friendliness make up for that, at least to me!

This course is a joke!
I had a tee time for a foursome at 2pm. I asked to play 18 and they said play 9 and come back to pay for the other 9 after your done. When we finished the first 9 the starter told us to grab a drink, pay for the other 9 and we could play through. We paid went back to the starter and had to wait behind 2 – 3 sums and a foursome. What a joke. The course has 5 par 3’s, 2 par 4’s and 1 par 5. It’s short, poorly run, but in great shape. I will NEVER be going back. It’s crazy the rules they make you play by and not worth it! If I need to work on my short game ill go to the range on the other side of Natick!!!

This place is in real good shape for a city-​run course. It’s pretty short and quick, but definitely a fun 9 to play on a late afternoon after work before it gets dark. Not the most difficult course you’ll play, but some tight fairways keep things interesting.
Play can be a little slow in the beginning, but eventually spreads out most of the time. Would definitely recommend for a casual 9.

A wonderful little local 9 holer. It is short and fairly straight-​foward, but still plays well. Don’t expect to be forced to shape shots unless you’re hitting from the rough. Holes 1 – 3 and 9 are reminiscent of a Links-​style course, with 2 and especially 9 rewarding players who take a risk off the tee.
The course is generally in good condition overall, but what makes it stand out in my mind is that the greens always seem to be great. They’re smooth, true, and surprisingly receptive, so don’t be surprised if you find you have to dial back the spin a little bit.

Unlike the State run courses this muni is in good shape. varied holes with a little bit of a challenge – good place to play a quick nine

Took beginner golf lessons here. The golf pro is very patient and knowledgable. He offers a flexible schedule. Would recommend this to friends.
