I enjoy taking day trips on the weekends and this nursery is wonderful. Of course in the middle of winter you can’t expect the nursery to be filled with the usual summer/spring inventory. I have been here 2 times so far and i plan to visit again. This past weekend I went and they were filling up another greenhouse with pretty spring plants. I purchased a large, beautiful, vibrant pink geranium. Also i did interact with the owner(i think) and she was extremely helpful and pleasant, not unpleasant as another reviewer pointed out. Sometimes people are just busy and trying to get their work done and someone may translate that as dismissive but I try to always give people the benefit of the doubt in those situations. I love all the great plants iv’e purchased from here and the selection is always better than any around where i live. It’s worth a trip. A huge plus, because i LOVE animals, the cute and lovable cats roaming and the great Dane is gorgeous!

I feel royal when shopping at Windy Lo. Love their selection, knowledge, location, Great Dane and kitty store attendants. They load my car with huge bag if Pete miss. 5 star is saved for all that with outstanding enthusiasm and friendliness. Glad to have them in the neighborhood. I also feel royal when paying but patronizing local biz is worth it.

Woo, what has happened here??? I used to shop at Windy-Lo a lot when I lived/worked in Natick and used to love the place. Haven’t been in there since last Christmas when I bought a bunch of nice stuff. Three days ago I was there and the store had almost no inside stock, such as cacti, houseplants, gardening tools, etc., things that make nice presents. I spent all of about three minutes inside, despairing of finding anything to buy. Even worse, there were clumps of what looked awfully like dog diarrhea on the floor(I’ve often seen beautiful friendly old dog there, I hope he’s not too unwell). I hate to say it because I don’t want it to be so, but it looked like a place about to go out of business.

Beautiful property with very nice selection of plants and seasonal decorations. The bad news is they are ridiculously overpriced and the owner is a sour pus that appears to be irritated by the presence of the people who allow her business to survive. I would suggest Volente in Needham or Russells in Wayland for equally good selection without the attitude.

The only thing that could make this garden center better is if they gave away free kittens. Oh, wait, they do give away free kittens. Ok, so it’s perfect, then.
