They were really busy but I had an appointment and was taken straight back to the doctor. I saw Dr. Francis and she was great! She was very understanding and made 100% sure that my prescription was right. She also made sure to walk me through everything! I have insurance so my visit was pretty much covered. They have a wide selection of frames which I love! I got a pair of MK glasses and love them! I would also recommend getting the insurance package on them ($ 35). The girls were so nice and friendly! I highly recommend this place

The plaza Bonita store in national city ca. is always busy, even thou other customers are rude to them for being busy, they are always super courteous to their clientele. They acknowledge everyone there and they make sure you feel welcome. They are great at multi-​tasking. Have been at this store several times and it doesn’t fail to the fact I always leave happy. The wait it is long, have to plan out to be there at least an hour on certain days, but I will keep coming to that store. Great job guys!

Never had any problems and they are always nice and caring. Got my eye exam as a walk in and was out within a hour. Came in a few days later to pick out some glasses and just picked them up and they are flawless. My advice is get eye insurance or else you will be paying ALOt, luckily I got insurance so I was covered. My $ 8 for my glasses would have been $ 300

BRought my Raybans to get adjusted and Fran was great. Made the adjustment so the glasses wld be more comfortable unlike that lady from Sunglasses hut (where I bought the sunglasses) who kept on saying «I don’t understand what you want me to do!» That Sunglass Hut is what you call SERVICE!!! I’ve been coming here for a little under a year now & I have been satisfied with their service! Although at times they are extremely busy, they always provide great service. They make my visit fast and efficient.
If I need some trials for contacts they provide that for me for the time being until my order comes in.
I’d recommend their product and service to anyone whom wants to get contacts or new glasses frames.
Their staff are always willing to help you out :)

I came in for an exam for glasses and contacts and paid cash for everything because I duo not have insurance. The associate who helped me was nice because she was trying to get me the best deals. I purchased some coach glasses and they even had this computer program set up where they can measure the fit of the frames to your face. I also asked to purchase a 6 month supply of contacts.
When it got confusing was that I had to pay separate transactions for everything. The most important thing I wanted was the contacts because the glasses I just wanted for backup. I asked the girl helping me twice to make sure I got charged for the contacts and she said I did. I wait two weeks I call and my order isn’t in. I call 3 weeks after and asked if I got charged for them, they said yes so I wait. I call a month later and they tell me I never got charged for them.
I have the glasses at least but they are way too tight and give me a headache if I wear them for more than an hour. I paid over 500 for everything and I feel like I got ripped off. Never going here again.

Today was my second experience with Lens Crafters and they are amazing! Their staff are very helpful, Lichelle in particular is FABULOUS!!! Not only does she have an awesome personality but she’s patient, honest and knowledgable. My first time, I purchased Ray Bans sunglasses from sunglass hut and made them prescription and polarized. This time around I purchased new opticals, Ray Bans of course! They had an awesome selection. Make sure to ask how much or what your insurance covers! Although they are pricey (even with specials) their customer service, selection, and urgency all makes up for it! Both my shades and opticals were made within 2 hours which is very convention especially if you’re looking to repair!

The staff is friendly and Dr. Feneis is amazing. But I have a problem with what appears to be the company’s policy of misstating the law. I tried to order a replacement contact lens, but was told by two representatives at this location that because the lens prescription is over a year old (in this case, a year and a few months), they cannot legally replace a contact lens, and I would need to have a new prescription, and then get new contact lens. The law actually states that they cannot make the prescription be valid for less than a year (California law states 1 – 2 years minimum), while there is no stated maximum. Refer to the (Federal) Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act of 2004, and the California Laws and Regulations Related to the Practice of Optometry, Chapter 5.4, Section 2541.2. Undoubtedly, these laws were created to prevent just such shady practices. My concern is that the company/​representatives misconstrue the law to the company’s benefit. Apparently, this is what they are told to say, that they can’t, because it’s the law, which is absolutely incorrect and actually logically completely backwards from what the law says. If it’s the company’s policy, just state that it’s their policy, but don’t incorrectly quote the law to your advantage.

Came in today trying to replace my broken glasses. Its been a year since i got my last ones and MAN i should have gone for the warranty but no i thought i was going to take care of them lol… i found out my insurance only covers frames every 24 months so of course that was an out of pocket expense for me that i did not want to pay! I was just going to leave until i heard about their frame sale. I got my frames for 40% off! YES! I want to thank Jeremy at this location for being so kind and upbeat. He provided excellent customer service keep it up!!! Can’t wait to pick up my glasses! Wooohoooo!

Going in here I was kind of anxious because I see the lens crafters commercials and don’t know what to expect. So I chose this location because it is the closest location to me and my brother said I could get contacts for cheaper. I walked in, both receptionists greeted me and one of them helped me right away. I couldn’t catch her name but she was the an asian girl with multiple piercings on one ear and light colored hair.
I told her that my brother got contacts from here and she asked me for my prescription and my dads insurance. I ended up bringing up and email with my prescription and she gladly accepted it. She was also able to bring my my insurance very quickly. It turns out that my insurance covers a lot of the fees so I was able to get a year supply of contacts only for $ 45! I was pretty happy after hearing from my go to place that a year supply is around $ 200 :\ thank you LensCrafters!

I didn’t get an eye exam. I filled my prescription, because my optometry office couldn’t get mine filled for two weeks. Frank was very nice and helpful. The entire staff was nice. frank took time to answer all my 101 questions. I was very impressed. I didn’t give all fives because I didn’t get a full exam

Service needs improvement, been waiting for an hour to be seen and yet… Waiting. They need to hire more doctors, ridiculous!

Terrible service and salespersons. I would be firing some people if I owned this place. I even went back one more time at an other time to see if it was the people on that shift but it was an even worse experience. I have been buying glasses from LensCrafters for years and years. I have essentially no budget when it comes to glasses and I love the warranties and selection. But they lost my Buisness for ever. I found a local place that had great service and prices and they were also busier. Bye bye morons!

I’m giving them 2 stars because 1. Quick process to get appointment 2. For getting trail contacts and 3. My first visit was good
It’s been two years since I got my eyes checked. I liked the service I got from them the first time I went there to purchase glasses so, I went there again. Now, my second time being there was VERY different. I decided to get my contact prescription from them because I had no insurance and they would also give me a prescription for glasses. So I figured, since I don’t have insurance I can reuse my frames, get a prescription for contacts and get my eyes checked.
I did NOT want the «anti glare» lenses because I have that already and they’re scratched up and isn’t what they said it would be. They claimed it’s scratched resistant. I now wanted to get the MOST basic lenses.
Going into the first step of the appointment the gentleman did the air to my eyes etc. and then asked me if I wanted a photo of my eye or do dilation. I already knew all about the «photo of the eye» because before my appointment they had a video talking about it (which was trying to sell it to me and I was annoyed). I wanted the dilation because I don’t have instance and it was cheaper. Before he let me tell him what I wanted he was trying to SELL the photo of eye to me and basically talked down about the dilation. I then told him I wanted it jut get the dilation.
Seeing the doctor he did the general examination and then put contacts in my eyes. After, he told me to watch a video about contacts and then practice putting them in and out. Once I was done with that, I asked him if he was going to examine my eye because that’s what I wanted. He said «yes we’re going to take a photo». I got so irritated because HE SHOULD HAVE READ THAT I WANTED DILATION. When I told him I wanted dilation, he looked at me like he was nervous/​scared to do it. He basically hesitated to respond to me when I said I want dilation.
We finally did dilation and he ended the exam saying «okay, I don’t want to torture you anymore. Your eyes look fine». I felt like he was just being lazy with examining me. I also was not given ANY form of shades for my eyes to help protect them while they were dialated.
I was told I could buy new lenses for 150 $ the day before I went In and asked. So, when checking out I asked to get lenses with my new prescription. Now, this guy was trying to SELL me the anti glare lenses plus NEW frames. Which I did not want new frames and I did not want anti glare because it DOES scratch. I told him «I was told 150 $ for new lenses and I just want the BASIC lenses. I have anti glare and it’s SCRATCHED!». He just looked at my lenses and said «we have better anti glare now». I was just so annoyed. He didn’t care at all I was mad and he just kept pissing me off more. I said forget it, ill just pay the exams and that’s it. Then he tries to settle with paying 150 $ for my lenses and I just told him no.
Weeks later I’m wearing my trail contacts and I’m realizing things are clear but blurry at the same time. I look at my prescription and it’s saying I DON’T have astigmatism when I believe I DO. I have not looked for my past prescription yet, but I KNOW that blur in my vision is the astigmatism.
I’m mad with my overall experience. From ALL of the people trying to sell me crap and not caring that I’m a poor student with no eye insurance and then also not getting the correct prescription. I’LL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I swear I’d rather have blurred vision then to go there.

The front desk staff was amazing. They were all very friendly and helpful. They had a lot of energy and were polite. The doctor was also very nice and helpful. He went over everything with me and made suggestions about things to look forward to. Over all I am very pleased with my visit to this location and I highly recommend it.

After 2 years of neglecting to get an eye exam, I decided to go into Lenscrafters to get the works (i.e. exam, contacts, glasses, and shades). I schedule my appointment for the following day online, which was really convenient. Once I get there I was helped by Kristan, and she definitely went above and beyond in helping me out. She explained every detail about the exam process and check out procedures. Overall, the customer service here is amazing. I will definitely be coming back for future purchases.

Went in for an eye exam and contacts today. Signed up for an appointment online — super convenient. They were really crowded but everyone working was cheerful, professional, and didn’t make me feel rushed.
Dr Feneis took her time getting my prescription correct. Didn’t get glasses there because I think it’s too pricey, but would definitely return for an eye exam and contacts.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! This LensCrafters location in Plaza Bonita doesn’t do business right! My son was charged for an eye exam even if he had a valid eye exam from LensCrafters Otay ranch which was done in August 2012. After I informed Caress the manager and Dr. Perez they both informed me that they cannot refund the $ 10 copay even if the eye exam was not needed since the services was performed! I know BS when I hear it! Wonder how many people are getting ripped off $ 10 or more? Wow no wonder they charge a lot! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
